Hello we stayed for a women's retreat and found it a great location, plenty of bird life, beautiful views from the verandahs - kitchen had what we needed - lots of space. Sauna door not able to be closed unless someone from the outside closed it for you and downstairs bathroom shower water spreads all over floor and around toilet so not super safe but the rest of it was great :)

We were looking for a large house capable of accommodating 4 families for a 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration. Ski Cove House was perfect for that. Good beds, great spaces and well equipped kitchen. Wonderful! The only down side was that no one mentioned that there is a 30-40 meter drop from the house to the lake below and only a very rough track down. My wife took a nasty tumble that put somewhat of a dampener on our weekend. Thankfully she sustained no serious injury but could have. There are plenty of beautiful beaches not too far away.

Awsome house in a great spot, everything you need for a belting weekend.

Enjoyed a lovely weekend with friends overlooking the beautiful lake. There were plenty of beds and a well stocked kitchen with ample plates, glasses cutlery. etc. Easy access down to lake level for water activities. Modern appliances. Deck needs updating.
Short drive to Forster for anything you need, or a stroll through the coffee shops.

We knew the sunset was a feature of this property, but seeing it in person is surreal, absolutely magnificent. The house was large enough for our group of 11, including a 2, 5 and 7yo. The house itself is a little worn, and can be noisy with our little kids running around, but with so many ppl and family members being able to enjoy the location and time together, it was a small compromise. The balcony railing was a little concerning with our young ones having the tendency to want to lean on or try to climb on the wire balustrade, so we made sure we always had our eyes on the kids. Overall though, we would happily visit again, loved the location and with Kate’s check in and check out process being super efficient we had a wonderful multi generational family holiday.

We stayed at this property for a weekend to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday. Our group comprised 6 adults and 6 Grandkids aged 12 to 17. The house was perfect for us. The location is amazing with beautiful lake views. The house is huge and there is enough room for us keep out of each others way. The games room was well used by all of us.
The property manager, Kate, is so helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She even left a bottle of bubbly and a lovely birthday card for my wife before our arrival.
The fire kept us warm and toasty the whole weekend.
We will be looking for an excuse to book this outstanding property in the future!

This was a great house for a holiday. It had everthing you needed & more. The kids hardly used their i pads because there was so much to do.

We had a lovely stay: ample space, lake-side, big kitchen and deck area. Pool table and ping pong table for the games room. The kayaks were easily accessible by the lake. Check-in process was effortless. Highly recommend and will now visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at Ski Cove house. The place is huge and has more than enough space for our group of 12 (8 adults and 4 kids). The view from the deck is amazing and the sunsets are incredible. The access to the lake was great and we spent a lot of time using the kayaks with the kids. There were a few minor hiccups (e.g the outdoor lights were not working). The property manager was very responsive in booking a maintenance person to attend but due to complications no one was actually able to come. Overall, a great place and wonderful stay.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Ski Cove House!
The house was in great condition and very clean for our arrival. It has generous living areas and a very functional open plan kitchen, great for cooking. The sunset from balcony over Smiths Lake was one of the best I have ever seen! Looking forward to our next stay.

The house was perfect for our family holiday - ages ranging from 68 years to 4 months. Lake frontage was fabulous for the kids - swimming, kayaking and fishing in the afternoons. Beaches not too far away. Great to have two living areas and three bathrooms.

Our group had a great stay at Ski Cove. The views from the balconies and kitchen are breathtaking! The table tennis, pool table and games cupboard kept the kids busy when they weren’t down exploring the river. The house is a little dated but still comfortable. The kitchen was modern and had everything you could need. Kate was extremely responsive and helpful. We had a great stay at Ski Cove and would happily stay again.

Great time family enjoyed it
The only thing the access to the lake from the house the stair are too hard for some of the family

Ski cove house had the wow factor from the minute you walked in the door. So much space for everyone as well as areas that could accommodate everyone together in the one space such as outdoor areas and indoor dining areas. The view was incredible and just so relaxing. If you couldn’t physically get down the access to the beach then it doesn’t matter as you could watch it all from the deck and not kiss a thing. The lake access stairs was a great workout on both on the way down and up. Even our 70 year old mums said they got better at them every day! The house felt like a resort and everything was so nicely appointed. The kitchen was a dream to cook in as it was so big and had everything we needed to make serve up big feasts. Teppanyaki BBQ was fantastic and we used it for bacon and eggs, bbq, fried rice- everything! I loved the outdoor shower at the end of the day and I think I only used the indoor shower once! The pool room was very heavily frequented and the lounges were so comfy, perfect for afternoon reading and snooze! We spent two weeks here and will definitely be back next year.

House was spotless and had plenty of room for all of our family. We enjoyed all of the amenities and our grandkids thoroughly enjoyed kayaking. The views across the lake were magnificent.

The view from the property was immaculate, just stunning. The house was tidy upon arrival. The bedrooms upstairs have mould growing on the curtains which was of a concern. There was no heating downstairs (only a gas outlet) and the lights flickered downstairs. A few small improvements could make the overall stay more enjoyable.

Great place to unwind. Great facilities - loved the sauna and spa. Views are amazing.

great location and excellent facilities provided, close to shops and beach

Just a couple of things for constructive feedback... couldn’t use the bbq as only 1 burner would light up & a large part of the plate was rust. Bit of a let down as we’d planned a bbq night. My son that suffers from Asthma woke up really weezy 1 morning & needed his nebuliser after sleeping in a room downstairs with a very dusty pedestal fan. Other then this we enjoyed our stay very much & would love to go back.

We had 4 families staying in the house with ages ranging from 5 to 50+. There was something for everyone. Plenty of spaces to gather or be alone. The views from the decks were spectacular and we spent plenty of time watching the world go by. The pool table, table tennis table, spa and kayaks were well used by all. Sitting in the spa after a day at the beach and watching the beautiful sunset was a great way to end each day. The children were never bored and had plenty to do each day.The only downfall was no wifi. The reception in the house was poor or non existent for some phone carriers, and while that is what holidays are all about, the whole world functions online these days so it will was annoying and difficult at times. We would all definitely return to Ski Cove House.

We had a fab 10 days with extended family at this property. Kate the property manager provided great service the whole time we were there including in the lead up when we weren’t sure if we would be able to travel due to covid. The 2 kayaks got a work out when we weren’t at Elizabeth or boomerang beaches or on the deck enjoying the amazing view.

it was a really great weekend lovely property, with stunning views and great location. we all had a really good time and would definitely come back again! a few more kayaks would be ideal and more paddles.and we had to re wash the dishes in the cupboard before we used anything as the last guests did a terrible job and left food on most things. also a rat in the toilet, poor thing!

my 6 friends and I had a great time at this place last month. It has everything you could want for a holiday house when there is a few couples looking for a laid back experience with all the creature comforts. It is very big (on two levels) with the most spectacular views of the lake. the living and entertainment areas are very comfortable and modern and tastefully decorated, too. the kitchen has all the things you need to put together a top meal but there are plenty of good alternatives if you want to eat out locally. the entertainment area on the ground floor has a big TV with comfortable couches and in the giant rumpus room there is a billiard table, a table tennis table and darts and a library with stacks of good books, we tried them all with varying success. but something for everyone. the outside decks are big as well and you can eat outside with BBQ if you prefer, we did and it worked really well.
A top location and a top holiday home all round. highly recommended.

My wife and I chose Ski Cove for our 30th birthday weekend (Friday to Sunday) with 13 friends in early March. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to bake cakes, scones and muffins, and has a breathtaking view over the Lake. On the Saturday we had no need to leave the house, except for a quick errand run to the local servo to get some extra fuel for the motor boat. There's plenty to keep people entertained - with a beach area on the Lake shore, nice water to play in, kayaks for exploring and motorboat with fishing lines, veranda areas which are great for relaxing and reading, pool, darts and table tennis, very comfy lounge areas too for evening games and the spa & sauna which were fun to use. We really would highly recommend this place - the entire group loved it! Service was great - no problems whatsoever.

Our large family group had a great time at Ski Cove House. Particular favorites were the water craft, the games room and the perfectly placed spa overlooking the water . Kate was most helpful during the meet and greet and we appreciated the helpful tips she gave us. We will be back!

Was plenty of room for 15 of us, never a dull moment, fantastic views throughout the day not only in the morning and the evening, Kate was fantastic in assisting us throughout the whole process!
