Located in the heart of North Georgia this hand built and lovingly remodeled authentic log cabin is the home of your perfect Appalachian getaway. Whether you're looking for adventure, romance, or just a peaceful escape, Sun Oak Cabin is the place for you.

As soon you walk in, you will see warm wood accents, a modern kitchen with a copper sink, Corian counters, a Keurig and all the amenities. We kept you in mind when we completely updated the bathrooms with tile, teak, and a rain shower with massage jets. Our queen size beds are so comfy you will want to sleep in. There is also a queen size folding wooden bed frame and trifold memory foam mattress in the living room, in case you'd rather not sleep with your grandma, and a twin daybed in the loft. There is little to no "ruffing it" at Sun Oak Cabin. For the romantics, the remote controlled gas fireplace and general ambiance will lend to the perfect evening. You can enjoy a complimentary bottle of wine from a local winery, your choice, from the wine rack. For the sports fan, we have a 65" flat-screen smart TV with the sports package, so you'll never miss a game. Or just log into your Netflix account to laze away the day. We also have a fire pit for the kids (and kids at heart) to roast marshmallows.
Sun Oak Cabin is close to many of the local attractions, yet serene and secluded. Watch deer, turkey, and other wildlife from the comfy Amish outdoor furniture on the covered porch. Or head out to the pavilion and cook up a whole meal on the Blackstone griddle, while family hangout with you at the picnic table, the lounge seating and on the porch swing. If it's warm, turn on the cooling fans to stay breezy. Edison string lights will give your evenings outside a festive air. We've tried to think of everything to make the perfect mountain vacation experience, now all that is needed is you!

This is a wonderful place to kick back and relax. It is very clean and comfortable. Wifi works great and is lightning fast. The pavilion out back is really nice. We enjoyed grilling on the Blackstone griddle and playing cornhole. It was too hot in July for the campfire or fireplace, but both should be lots of fun in the right weather. Host has all sorts of campfire tools set out and lots of wood. Location is perfect. This cabin does not have some of the "toys" like we used to book when our kids were young and with us, so no hot tub or game room or mountain views, but if you are just looking for a clean and comfortable cabin in a great spot, this is for you. Besides, mountain views are all over the place in the area, and there are plenty of waterfalls to visit nearby as well. The cabin itself is superior to the ones with all the frills we have booked in previous years. Host is very responsive, and it was a tremendous cost/value for this type of property! I highly recommend!

Everything was wonderful. The Cabin was Very well apportioned. The hosts had thought of everything we might need, and it was there! Inside and outside was clean, comfortable, and welcoming! Jim's Smoking Que is Right there, a Great Quilt shop right in town, Vincent's Coppertop restaurant was also fantastic.
I would highly recommend this Wonderful Cabin, and it is even handicapped accessible.

We just loved everything about this home and property! The personal touches everywhere we looked made our stay so enjoyable. We loved spending time in the pavilion below the property and on the gorgeous deck in the rockers. We will definitely rent this property again if we have the chance to come back ❤️

Good location. Cabin was everything I was looking for. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, and living room was cozy. Would stay there again for sure!!

This is by far our favorite cabin we have ever stayed at! This was our 3rd time there and it has never disappointed us. Tina has thought of everything! We loved the new living room furniture - it was very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked any we loved the Keurig. It’s the kind of getaway we always look forward to. Our favorite spot is definitely the front porch.

This cabin is such an amazing place! The owner’s have everything you could possibly need!! Once you step in your overwhelmed with the beauty of this cabin and the views! I just was thinking of how peaceful and relaxing this beautiful cabin and property would be to live there permanently!
You don’t need to bring anything because it’s got it all. The owners are very easy to get in touch with in a very timely manner! The interior is cozy and comfortable and classy! Plenty of parking and even outdoor covered spaces for grilling, playing many games they have provided plus a fire pit! You can not find any cabin that can compete with this beautiful place. We are going to be returning once there is an opening in the booking!

This is our second stay at this property. Came back because of the quality, location and value. Recommend for a quite, relaxing stay. We have had deer visit on both visits.

Loved it. The cabin is rustic but with modern conveniences. Has a warm woodland cabin feel. Great deck.
Very nice appliances and plenty of pots, pans and utensils. Loved the metal artwork and antiques scattered inside and outside. Amazing eagle sculpture/vane in front. Will be back.

This property met and exceeded all expectations. It was the perfect place for our family to gather for a memorial for my sister. All were thrilled. The outdoor pavilion and fire ring were perfect. It was like our own park in the backyard. All suggested we should come back again sometime for a longer stay and vacation.

This is a very nice property with a beautiful pavillion and firepit. It's a quiet and peaceful area. The beds and couches were really comfy. The kitchen had all rhe cookware needed, which was extremely nice and made things easy. We will be returning.

I have nothing but praises for the cabin and our hosts. Beautifully decorated, thoughtfully stocked and equipped. Impeccably clean. The location was perfect for a couple of days of topnotch hiking to the top of Blood Mountain and Brass Town Bald. Everything about the cabin allowed for a beautiful, memorable time with my adult daughters before they head off to college. We will definitely be back!

This was our 3rd year to stay in this cabin. We love the outdoor area along with the inside of the cabin. It is very cozy, comfy, and inviting. I would totally recommend this place to stay!

This property has it all for entertainment or tranquility. There's a lot of extras in this beautiful home that includes high end appliances, bedding, water massage in showers and all poly porch furniture. Beware to those of us who are vertically challenged - the beds are high off the ground, but step stools are provided. I have to agree with the folks who commented on the living room sofa and chairs being a bit uncomfortable for seniors. The driveway up to the cabin is paved and did not present any issues when snow covered. The home is only a few miles from town yet perfectly located surrounded by nature. We love Blairsville and all the wonderful towns that are close by to explore: Helen, Dahlonega, Blue Ridge, and Hiawassee. Track Rock Stables has guided horseback riding trails and was found be to a highlight of our trip along with a must stop at distillery in town! Visit Crane Brook Winery, you will not be disappointed. The owner of this property is as sweet as a peach and attentive to any concerns. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy this awesome home.

This was our second time at this cabin and was still enjoyable. Was surprised to see a church next door were there used to be trees but was nice and quiet. Would love to come back again!

Absolutely loved the cabin and the property. The owners have truly thought of everything. I don't think I would change a thing - except maybe putting a King size bed in one of the 1st floor bedrooms (although I realize it would be a little tight to do so).

We loved the cabin but if we had to mention anything it would be that there needs to be a light in the downstairs shower. The sun light came right in the skylight over the upstairs bed so no sleeping late. The shower upstairs water pressure was very low and the shower is very small. Otherwise we had a great stay. Thank you!

The property was better than what we thought. Everything was perfect we especially loved the porched, we sat outside and read, played games and watched the wildlife. The property was also convenient to everything we wanted to do, hike, archery, sight see.

What a great time we had at this cabin! A true outdoor mountain experience. It has such a great space for my boys to play outside and even discovered a creek. All the little touches to make it feel like home we appreciated! Cabin was clean and inviting.

Everything was absolutely wonderful ❤️!! Beautiful cabin and property. Had everything we needed to have a great stay. The location couldn't be any better... Surrounded by state parks and attractions. Check out Pappy's trading post. We went tubing, $10 a person or $25 a day. It's worth it and just a Mike up the road. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the cabin with family the weekend our daughter got married in Blairsville. The cabin was amazing- beautifully decorated, everything we needed and more! Hosts were easily accessible when I messed up our entry code (totally my fault!)

We loved everything about this home. My husband and our two children rented the cabin for 4 nights. It had everything we needed and was incredibly clean. The only thing I would recommend is bigger beds. All beds are full size and due to being uncomfortable I spent most nights on the couch. Other than that it was everything we wanted.
