We had a wonderful stay but the property is in need of a little tlc. The gas heater, dryer, vacuum, tv remote, oven exhaust were all faulty and the property needs some general maintenance and top up of cutlery, cups etc.. for this property to be where it needs to be.

Property was in an excellent location for our bike ride event starting in Jindabyne. It was also a very short walking distance to Jindabyne brewery serving fantastic food and brews. The garage had plenty of space for our bikes and the beds were comfortable. The three separate rooms suited our group well. Kitchen was very well stocked with glassware, crockery etc.
The only negative points were:
no courtesy kit with shampoo etc on arrival
Cleaning could’ve been better (cob webs in corners)
TV only had analogue channels, but we were not there to watch TV

Short drive to the main shops and nice and clean

The location and size of unit was perfect for our stay. Well stocked kitchen and good size lounge / dining area. A couple of minor maintenance (bathroom and carpets needed improved cleaning) and comfort items (fans or air con for the upper level as it was really hot and lack of windows made it hard to cool the area down) would make it 5 star rating

Great home base for exploring the Snowys
Clean and tidy. Ample heating during our cool autumn stay. Sufficient amenities including three toilets. Split level with three flights of stairs joining four levels. Fixed windows in bunk room. Appreciated undercover internal access garage in wet weather.

Great central location
Very handy location. We were in Jindabyne for MTB riding at Thredbo and appreciated the garage with remote to service the bikes at night and washing machine. While unit met our needs, sometimes it's the small things that just make it that bit better. Eg pod coffee machine, cling wrap. A few little things that could be fixed like the noisy exhaust fan in the ensuite, hole in the main bedroom mattress, fitted bottom sheet is preferred and power point on wall of garage to charge ebikes rather than having to use the powerboard hanging from the roof. Thankfully extension cord supplied though. These things are minor and wouldn't stop us staying here again.

Great value, great garage, good location.
Great value, great garage, good open plan living, good sized bedrooms. With a couple of minor tweaks this could be a really good property. Needs plates that fit the dishwasher, new pots and pans, ceiling fans and a window that opens in the top bedroom and boom this place is back on track.

2 problems
The blinds in dining room were wrecked and we had to tie them up out of the way.
Disappointed that the website promised Lake views which we did not have. Kitchen was good though

No ventilation in the house
We booked a 3 Bedrooms 23/1 - 26/1 for 6 persons. The house is definitely not suitable for rental during summer time. During our stay the temperature is around 30 degree. There is no air conditioner and with not sufficient electrical fans. (Only 2 fans). Just imagine the conditions where the room temperature at top floor is likely up to 40 degree. In particular windows in that room with two bunk beds can’t be open and there is no ventilation inside that room. No person can stay inside that room as temperature remains over 30 degree celsius during the night. We have no choice but slept in the sitting room with my husband. It is a bad holiday experience for us. We could return to the house until 8 pm because This holiday house is really hot inside.

Good location. Nice and warm. Basic. Needs a lot of maintenance.
Good location. Nice and warm with heaters in all the rooms. Under floor heating in bathrooms was nice.
Not well maintained. A lot of things to be fixed.
Couch is saggy and needs to be replaced. I’m a small person and it swallowed me.
Broken lower shelf in the fridge. Everything fell out.
Broken rangehood. Can’t close it or turn it off.
Dirty plates. Dirty cutlery. Old disgusting trays. We washed everything we used before we could use it. Kept out what we’d washed so we knew it was clean. Chipped glasses.
Blinds broken. Can’t open the ones in the living area.
Didn’t leave us a sponge to wipe down benches.
2 beds no quilt cover (bottom bunk and master). Yellow quilt. Pet hate. As during the night the sheets move and you end up touching the quilt that others have touched. Just using a quilt cover would solve this.
Pilled old pillows. Made for the master bed. I swapped pillows. Things like this should be thrown away.
Terrible phone reception. Should consider getting wifi.

Great location away from home
Great property. Located not too far away from the shopping centres and the lake. The heated floor in the bathroom was the main topic during our stay. The Owner was very responsive and accomodating. Might need to replace the vacuum cleaner filter. Thank you.

Our family stayed for a weekend snow trip and it was the perfect size. So comfortable and clean. Loved it! Heated floors in the bathroom were a treat. Thanks for having us!

Everything you need and kids friendly
I enjoyed the stay very much, it has everything we need. It was clean and cozy, and the bathroom floor heating was the best. My friends stayed in the mastroom had some issues with the bed though because the mattress springs were a bit noisy and the quilt was a bit too crispy(maybe they were being a bit picky hahaha, I should have tested it) other than that it was great stay for us. We were with two kids, the house got enough room for them to play. It was warm enough for everyone. Thanks!

Loved it
Very comfortable property for all 8 of us (6adults, 2 kids). The heated tiles and spa in the bathroom were added luxury after long days skiing. Our two 4wds did not fit in the provided garage - height wise with roof racks on - we parked in the visitors park.

We liked this property because it was nearby to things we wanted to do. Also, with 2.5 bathrooms, there's no waiting! ;-)

Spacious, modern, clean
A group of 6 of us spent a week at Northstar 1 over summer. We come to Jindabyne every year to do some training in the mountains and this place had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the separate level for the living/dining was really spacious and meant we never felt cramped. It was only a short walk to the lake and a short drive to the shops.
A handy tip: if you're staying here in summer, make sure you BYO fan. The house gets really hot during the day and the upstairs bunk room doesn't have windows you can open, so it's gets really hot.
The only thing that would make this place perfect is a small outdoor BBQ and perhaps air con or fans.
Aside from some minor dishwasher issues in the last two days (which were not that major), we had a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend this place (we were a group of 5 adults and 1 toddler and we had plenty of space).
Thank you for a fabulous stay!

Perfect for families on a snow holiday.
We spent two nights at Northstar 1 over the June long weekend. The townhouse was perfect for our needs. The modern layout of the townhouse made it feel spacious and meant we were not all cramped in the one room all weekend. The three bedrooms gave us our own space and the ensuite was appreciated with four adults in the house as well as the kids.
We made good use of the kitchen because it was just a bit too far to wander into town for dinner - just our personal choice due to having some young kids with us. It is probably about a 10 minute walk to all the restaurants and other amenities in the Jindabyne area.
The beds were comfy and we appreciated the floor heaters in the bathroom on the chilly mornings.
Another bonus was the double garage that was made available to us with remote controls.
Would definitely recommend to small groups or two families wanting to base themselves in Jindabyne while exploring the snowy region. A better option for us than choosing to stay in one of the local hotels.

Avoid during summer months
We stayed at Northstar 1 during Christmas for 7 nights. Northstar 1 was situated in a quiet street in Jindabyne, close to shops, service stations, parks, the lake and the local cinema. Location wise it was perfect. The property itself was very modern, had ample room and the garage space fit two cars comfortably. The kitchen had everything one might need to eat in and the property was well furnished.
Unfortunately, one thing that really let the property down was the fact that it had no air-conditioning. I would definitely avoid staying here ever again during the summer months. The first 2 nights of our stay were a nightmare because of the sweltering heat. My mum and sister who were sleeping in the bunk beds in the room upstairs could not sleep there and had to hoist there mattresses downstairs into the somewhat cooler living room in order to get some shut eye. That room didn't even have windows that could open! My dad also had to sleep downstairs on the coach as his room wasn't much cooler. The property didn't even have fans, however, management promptly brought us three pedestal fans as soon as I called to complain about the heat. The fans didn't make much of a difference on the first two nights as it was just too hot.
The other issue was cleanliness. The underside of my daughters' feet went black after just 2 minutes of running around barefoot. The carpet really needed a steam clean. Asides from the carpet everything else was clean to an acceptable standard.
Finally, my final comment is unrelated to the property itself but more-so directed at Jindabyne as a summer holiday destination. Unless you're going skiing during winter, there isn't really much to do in Jindabyne or the snowy mountains. We called a trout farm and they were closed for maintenance. I tried to call the local Steve Williamson's to book a trout fishing session however he was all booked out. We went to thredbo and had a blast going up Mt Kosciuszko however we were swamped by flies which make picnicing impossible. Also, there are no fish! Seven days of fishing at various places in the snowies and not a single catch.
I'm sure had I visited during winter my review of this property would have been much more positive. So don't be deterred from visiting during the cooler months!

Beautiful House
House is in a great location close to shops and just a short drive to Perisher.
Inside was lovely, very accommodating for a few couples or even a family with children. Spacious kitchen with island bench, open plan living/dining down stairs with all bedrooms up stairs is a really good set out. Very happy with our stay, will definitely be coming back!

Excellent property for a group or family!
Great house with everything you need. We used the place for a week long snow trip. It accommodated everyone comfortably and was really good to come back at the end of a day on the snow, cook up some food and relax. Really convenient having the double garage, two bathrooms and an extra toilet so there weren't any long lines. Noticed there is a cot available too for a family. Would recommend this place to visit Jindabyne and its surrounds. Looking forward to our next stay!
