I loved the history of this place. Location was perfect for our stay! Hope to be back!

Overall the stay was great. I really enjoyed the binder that explained the history of the building. It was slightly frustrating when I was told last minute that my check-in time was delayed. Most everything was clean but the fan over the bed was very dusty. Other things that would have been nice were an ironing board and a hairdryer.

Overall, our stay at this location was just fine. The location itself was quite convenient with plenty of good grocery, restaurants and local attractions nearby. The neighborhood initially seemed a little concerning but quickly proved to be quite pleasant, quiet and enjoyable. The home (aka The Firehouse) had a fun feel to it given the history, but with it came an older style home.
-The bathroom is quite small and very tight-quartered. The shower curtain could definitely stand to be replaced.
-The water pressure at the kitchen and bathroom sinks were quite minimal at our arrival. Vacasa was very responsive and sent a maintenance worker. The pressure was still pretty weak after being fixed but likely normal for the house.
-The home is dependent on a single AC unit in the main room/sleeping quarters, which made cooling the entire home challenging. Multiple portable fans were also available and luckily, the outside temperatures during our stay were manageable to begin with.
-The home came set-up with bunkbeds in the second bedroom that work great for kids. The main bedroom area has a full/small queen sized bed and a convertible couch to futon that to say the least, got the job done :)
Off the main room is a closet that had an air mattress available. Also, several sets of sheets, plenty of blankets and extra pillows were available and a huge plus but it was somewhat difficult to gauge which linens were clean. This home was well equipped with all the basics but plenty of extras

Family met up from different parts of the state for event. Needed parking for a third car, so ended up parking on street across driveway (behind the 2 in the driveway). We enjoyed walkability to lots of food and entertainment options. Quaint unit built in 1904, kitchen nicely updated and well stocked with essentials. Did not realize that main bedroom was also the livingroom when we booked. Overall really good experience.

It started out frustrating.. two voice messages before we even got off the plane. 1) the retaining wall fell..so door was blocked for 3 days. 2) the cleaning wasn’t complete so couldn’t check in til after 6.
I just wanted a shower and there was NEVER enough water pressure to take one.
The master bedroom had no door for adult privacy and it was the sitting/tv room too.
Kids room didn’t have an A/C so it was too hot for them to stay the night with us.
No ice maker… no hot pads for cooking… no outside trash can out the back door. No closet for hanging clothes.. fan in kids room was FILTHY!!
All the brochures that were left are old & OUTDATED!
Neighborhood seemed sketchy at first - but it was quiet. Location was great.. coming in to see my son aboard the USS Nimitz come home was great and the ferry was around the corner!

The space was fine for a couple of nights. Bed was fairly comfortable. The shower curtain was gross and needs replaced, and some of the towels have been laundered so much, they don’t absorb anymore. Other than that, it was a wonderful weekend.

This was a great home base for our visit to Seattle. Easy to walk to the ferry, wander town, or hop in the car to go further afield.

Good location. This place is great for a couple. There is no door to the bedroom so do not expect to have any privacy if you have kids. The bathroom is VERY small! All in all not bad for the price. A few things like a door for the bedroom would go a long way.

Charming Little Firehouse
The Little Firehouse is an absolute delight. The view from the front window when the mountains are out is spectacular! Well appointed, stocked kitchen, and extremely convenient location. I could easily walk over the bridge to Manette or to downtown Bremerton, and to the ferries for both Seattle and Port Orchard. Will absolutely book this little treat of a location again!! Kudos to the owners!!!

Rough start but strong finish.
We arrived to find the place incredibly messy and dirty. I contacted the property manager who responded very quickly. Apparently the party before us hand canceled and then showed up so the cleaning crew and manager believed the place was still clean but it wasnt. The manager sent a cleaning person out the very next day (we arrived late in the evening) and the gentleman cleaned the place top to bottom, while we were out enjoying the area. The manager also offered a discount for our inconvenience which we appreciated. The neighborhood looks a little rough but everyone was very friendly, and we felt safe there. The street is a bit noisy later in the evening but not a deal breaker. The Mountain Views from the bedroom windows are a gift! I would totally stay there again. It was less about there being a problem and more about how it was dealt with: professionally and efficiently.

Would recommend!
The check-in/check-out process was very easy. The house is a little small but with my party of 4 it was manageable. The bathroom is really tiny but it gets the job done. The only complaint I have is that there is no door on the main bedroom, there is only a door on the bunk bed room. This wasn't much of an issue but I wish they would have made that more clear. But overall the property manager was very responsive when I first booked this trip so if you have any questions they will respond in good time. We were visiting friends in the Navy so this property was very ideal because it's very close to the base in Bremerton. It's also walking distance from the ferry so that was really nice. I would stay here again so I highly recommend!

Nice idea but a few issues
The historic nature of Station 6 as a vacation rental is a really cool idea. I would have loved to see more of a nod to the firefighters in the decor/design. One of the small glasses was cracked in the cupboard & there weren't enough towels for the 6 of us even though the place is billed as accomodating 6 sleepers. I called Vacasa to see if we might get an extra towel, they said someone would bring one, but never did. The "extra" blanket for the futon were just 2 light throws, so it's good our youngest 2 had blankets with them but they were still chilly since it's October. There weren't any pillows for them as the only "extra" pillow was a nasty, stained thing in the closet. The runner on the table had moldy food under it and a bleach stain on the top, and whatever they used to clean the black kitchen counters left a white residue that I had to clean before using. Also, the kitchen clock only worked intermittently, and there is no vent for the stove/oven which as a former firehouse seems an ironic oversight as well as a building code violation. There was also some confusion in the welcome pamphlet and the guest info binder which said they wanted us to start laundry (which there is none) and that there were was an echo dot in each bedroom, but there was only one. Vacasa was a pain to work with & took 3 days and 2 phone calls to confirm our reservation, and they kept threatening to cancel it which I would have just done if we didn't have a lot of money tied up in it for our 3 night stay. So, cheaper than 2 hotel rooms, but not worth the hassel and lack of basic necessities for our family.

This apartment was walking distance to shops & restaurants which is exactly what we wanted.

Nice place but not clean, poor contact w management.
Nice place but with covid and all the info on how it would be cleaned prior to check in we were very disappointed to find food on the floors, crumbs on the counter and microwave, dust and hair on bedside table. Cobwebs hung from light fixtures and smoke alarm in main room was gone! The bathroom is super tiny, no room to move and cramped toilet area. We tried reaching out to management company in 3 emails to no response. We checked out a night early because of the bathroom. Still no response from them.

Is it a 3 or 4 star place to stay?
I'm struggling with rating this a 3 or 4 star place to stay. It was a nice place to stay and was decently clean. The location to walk around downtown is prefect. The neighborhood was good as well. It is a mix of houses and apartments. There was some evening noise but by 9pm to 10pm it's quiet. The property management company isn't prompt with communication. There is general upkeep they are not doing with the property. There are broken tools in the kitchen, dirty potholders, chipped bowls, the frig wasn't 100% clean (previous renter spilled a red juice and was still in the frig), 1/2 roll of toilet paper with no extra toilet paper, and the major issue was the missing smoke detector. In the main bedroom someone completely removed the smoke detector and left wires hanging. They placed the smoke detector in the kitchen drawer. Overall it isn't a bad place to stay but I do hope the owners of the property have the management company do better upkeep to keep this place nice. There is a lot of charm staying in former firehouse!

Charming, well-equipped, and centrally located.
This cozy home was charming, well-equipped, and within walking distance of a lovely park, shops, and restaurants. It was easy to cook meals for 3 kids with the well-appointed kitchen. There were a couple of small items that needed some maintenance. Our stay was impacted by arriving on the tail of a snowstorm (cleaners didn't make it before we arrived), but otherwise we would definitely stay again.

Bremerton stay
Everything was great. Close to the water, the park, shopping and a few mins drive to Silverdale where our business office is. The only thing is, because of the pandemic 2 of my friends didn’t want to sleep together on the sofa-bed for social distancing. I asked if there’s a roll-away bed but there’s none. Ended up driving for an hour and a half to stay with friends.

Awesome stay!
Exceptionally clean, well stocked kitchen, nicely decorated. Sleeping arraignment worked well for us and was comfortable, but the description could have been clearer. One normal bed and a futon in the main room and a bunk bed in the second. The futon wouldn’t work well for 2 adults but worked great for one teenager!! Would definitely stay here again.😁

Neat little place!
Very nice little place for my adult kiddos to meet up after my son's deployment. A little tight of a neighborhood, but the place was clean and nicely refurbished.

Clean, good location and cute place
On site parking was great, and the short walk to the ferry made getting into Seattle easy. Plenty of kitchen equipment for us to cook breakfast. We mostly ate out other meals—We recommend the Curry place by the ferry. It was delicious. We would stay here again if we were in the area.

Great location, great property
We came into Bremerton to visit with my sister-in-law and chose this place because of it's location on the map. Turns out that it is even better in real life. It is close to the ferry, close to the bridge that takes you out of town to explore, and close to the road to get back to Seattle. The home was nicely furnished with everything you need. It was comfy with extras of everything, just in case. We loved that the second bedroom had a bunkbed. Our kids didn't accompany us this time, but they can in the future and our family would be quite comfortable here.
