About this house rental
Our home is the upper level of a 2 family house located an hour northwest of Albany on beautiful Great Sacandaga Lake. It is nestled into the side of a wooded hill. The hilly terrain allows both levels to have their own on-grade entrances.
The 80' beach area is directly across the road from the driveway entrance and opposite a NYS public boat launch site, which is just a few hundred yards across the water. The waterfront includes a fireplace, dock, & picnic table.
You will especially appreciate the spacious layout and fully furnished kitchen. I enjoy the calming view of the woods from the dining room table. The family will have plenty of room to sleep. The three bedrooms have 2 queen and 2 single beds, plus there are 2 cots available or space on one of the couches for the kids.
Our home has two full baths and a laundry room. The Master bath includes a great whirlpool soaker tub.
Enjoy a game of 8-ball on the family room pool table or warm up in the cooler months in front of the living room fireplace. In warm months, you will really like the large patio complete with a picnic table, grill, and fire pit.
While there may be other guests downstairs during your stay, your living space is completely private and separate. The beach, dock, and lakeside picnic areas, however, are shared. You are welcome to tie up your boat or personal water craft at the dock.
If you are looking for some world class experiences, we are located about 40 miles from Saratoga. In less than an hour you can enjoy the famous Saratoga Race Course, be entertained by internationally known artists at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and go back in history with a tour of the crucial Revolutionary War Saratoga Battlefield.
We are also only an hour from the 6 Flags Great Escape amusement and water park with all the rides a child or adult child could ask for.
For winter guests, it is a short 20 minutes to the Lapland Lake Nordic Ski Center and 35-40 minutes to Oak Mountain or Royal Mountain downhill areas. Gore Mountain, one of New York's best, is only an hour away. Gore has 110 trails, boasts 2,537 vertical feet, and is home to the most skiable acreage in New York . While not a necessity all the time, since our driveway is fairly steep, winter guests might want to come with an all wheel or four wheel drive vehicle.
This is an ideal vacation spot for all season fun, including water skiing, tubing, fishing, fall foliage trips, and winter sports, all with beautiful mountain and lake views throughout the surrounding area.
All you need for a great family vacation are your own linens and towels. Free wifi and cable TV included.
One final note: While you are likely to see turkeys, deer, or other wildlife, please leave your personal pets at a safe place at home. They will be happier and so will we. Please also help us maintain a smoke free environment.

What a great experience! The house was clean and just as it was listed! Plenty of room for all of us. It was very close to Northville which was so convenient. We had a great time. We wish the weather was better so we could enjoy the beautiful beach rights but that’s NY in October. We will definitely book here again if it’s available.

Clean, close to shops in Northville. Wonderful Lake access site. Both the lake access/dock and the house were quiet, private and well-kept. Kitchen well-stocked. Liked that there were no stairs within the house (just the few outside). We had relatives staying in the lower-level space, which was also great. It made for a good situation, close to extended family, but everyone had their own space to go if needed.

Staying in this rental is nothing short of perfectly accomodating every single time; communication with the friendly owners is quick and easy if needed and the home is as described and more. My family and I enjoy ourselves everytime we are here and have no complaints with the property. Weather was actually beautiful for a few days, and the beach location was nice and clean and put to good use! Highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a quaint, quiet place to stay. 🙂

We enjoyed our stay at the house in Northville! It is close to the center of a picturesque Adirondack town and near a beautiful lake surrounded by mountains!

The rental was clean and well maintained, plenty of kitchen and cleaning supplies. Beds were comfortable. No views of the lake, but nice, quiet forest setting. Beach access is a 2 min drive away or a short walk. Beach is on a quiet cove. Great Sacandaga Lake is all rocks in this area, buy inexpensive water shoes in Northville at the 5 and 10. Main Bedroom could use a TV. Wifi has a good strong signal. The outside porch, outdoor furniture and front wooden steps could use a power wash. We would stay here again.

House was moderately clean. The bunk room has no aircon or ceiling fan so it was very hot to sleep in. Vacuum was not working even tho it's been on the charger the whole time. Unfortunately no broom so we had to use dustpan to try and sweep the floor. Dishwasher was not working. Had a foul smell when opened. We washed everything by hand. There was no pots or pans for stovetop, we came with our small pot for my toddler & that still wouldn't get the stove working. Majority of the utensils were still a little dirty. We rewashed them all before used.
Positive side, very beautiful small house. Kicthen opening out to lounge room is beautiful. Front yard is a beautiful setting with a nice fresh air breeze. Comfortable beds and complimentary towels and bathroom essentials was very generous. Nice location close to beach & shopping. Easy, simple instructions for access.
My family thoroughly enjoyed their stay.

The home is conveniently located to Northville. We enjoyed the home and was spacious enough for all of us. The owners were very accommodating and provided excellent instructions. We really enjoyed our weekend ice fishing in Northville. We will be definitely look to book this home again next year.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything we needed was there. The driveway up to the property was a little rough but not a problem. Very accommodating with all the things you need to cook and etc.
I would recommend this place if your looking for privacy and peaceful relaxation.

We rented this house because it listed lakefront. That was a huge disappointment. It’s across the street and just a rocky area unfit to swim or really do anything other than stand and look at the lake. We ended up going to the Mayfield Town Beach and paying $10 to park one day and the Wells Town Beach the next.
We did enjoy the house. The kids loved the pool table and spent plenty of time playing pool! The beds were very comfortable and the house provided room for everyone to spread out as well as hang together. There were cupboards full of dishes and pots and pans, but a strange absence of basic drinking glasses. We never used the grill or outdoor fire pit. The central air was a welcome blessing. As a gathering spot, it was perfect, just not as a waterfront spot. I had scoured the reviews before renting and no one mentioned the waterfront quality so I wasn’t aware that we wouldn’t be able to swim there. I want to make that clear for anyone else considering this property. There’s plenty of positives about this property, but the lakefront isn’t one of them.

Just perfect
If you are looking for a place that is at the lake and with boat dock this is the place. Clean and plenty of room for a family of 6 even though it was just the three of us. We enjoyed the fire pit and the out door picnic areas at the house and at the beach.

Easy, comfortable, relaxed
This was our 4th year staying in this rental and we never have been disappointed in the lodgings, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable furnishings make for a great stay. We always get instant response from the owners if we have a question or concern(of which there were few). great place!!!

Every experience that I have had staying at this property has been a positive one, and would recommend to ant family and friends. Everything is as advertised and owners are very friendly and communication is prompt and clear. Cozy home with plenty of space for guests, private beach area perfect for family and kids. Relaxing stay
Celebrated a friend's retirement with a much needed stay in the southern Adirondacks. The house was perfect (though it was a little confusing where to turn off the main road) with a new kitchen and a great fireplace. We enjoyed discovering the oldest surviving Five & Ten in the US in town. If not for the rain we would have poked in most of the shops on Main Street.

The house is very spacious had room for everyone. The back patio was great for a little fire in a little get together with our friends and family we had our second grandbaby so we had a lot of people up to see the baby. The house accommodated all our needs.

As with my past experiences renting this property, everything went perfectly and my stay was wonderful. New thermostat was an added bonus as a new feature since my previous stay. House, beach and property were listed as expected and owners were friendly, personable and speedy with any contact. This is all greatly appreciated! Have your kids ever all wanted to sleep in one giant bed together? Then they would love the 3rd bedroom, which has a pop up twin trundle that with the other two twin beds can form one giant wall to wall bed. I do recommend printing the check in instructions, I had issue being able to pull it up on my phone with AT&T, although service was fine for calls and text.

This is our third stay and the brand new air conditioning worked great. We were celebrating my daughter’s 52nd birthday and the home was a perfect place for this get together. We brought our kayaks and canoes and enjoyed the very private beach. The homey atmosphere always amazes me. Everything is provided. I highly recommend this home to anyone who wants to enjoy a great vacation. We will be back very soon.
