Prima voor enkele dagen

Deze accommodatie ligt in een semi-bergdorp midden in een prachtig natuurgebied. Wij hadden al een programma, maar wij kunnen ons voorstellen dat je hier ook mooie wandelingen kunt maken. Onze ruime kamer had een bijzonder groot bed en de douche werkte prima. Het geserveerde ontbijt was ruim voldoende. Voor de deur staat een bankje met een tafeltje en je kunt daar dus buiten zitten en een snack oid nemen. Wij konden de locatie moeilijk vinden, maar het adres staat juist vermeld, midden in het centrum van het dorp, en er staat ook een bordje waar de ingang is. Echter, de toegang bevindt zich achter een nauwe doorgang die doodloopt langs met een muurtje van gestapelde stenen. Daarom zie je vanaf de weg de accommodatie niet. Beter om daar niet in te rijden met je auto, maar te parkeren op de gratis parkeerplaats, direct naast de Bed en Breakfast. In ons geval was daar plek zat. Midden in het dorp gelegen maar het was er bijzonder rustig. Verschillende eetgelegenheden liggen binnen 200 meter.

Wij wilden vanuit Rascafria ook naar Segovia. Geen punt, maar je moet daarvoor wel een behoorlijke berg over, ruim 1800 meter hoog, met veel bochten en je bent er een uurtje mee kwijt. Je rijdt door een fraai gebied en wij vonden het verder prima en hadden een optimaal vakantiegevoel. De incheck verliep in ons geval helemaal via de mail. De accommodatie vraagt van te voren (in het Spaans) om je gegevens door te geven. Wij kwamen daar niet uit en sturen bovendien principieel ook geen foto's oid van onze identiteitsbewijzen. Dat bleek geen probleem; later hadden we een kort en prettig contact met de eigenaar; de incheck kon ook later en verliep in ons geval prima. Als je aankomt is er waarschijnlijk niemand; je vind een telefoonnummer op de deur. Je belt dan de eigenaar (spreekt Engels) die je op afstand binnenlaat en ook vertelt waar je kamer is en waar de sleutel ligt.

Wonderful stay

Beautiful place with rustic decor, very comfortable beds, and great breakfast. It's very close to la plaza, restaurants and shops. Beautiful country setting.

There was no front desk, which is usually not a problem. However, the instructions to self register at this hotel were a bit confusing. They give you an option to pay through bizum (not compatible with US banks/credit cards) or pay someone during check-in, but since there is nobody present during check-in, you end up not knowing what to do. Better upfront instructions and payment options for international travelers would be great. A larger, more visible street sign for the main entrance would also help.

Superb

Large room. Comfortable and stiff bed, not sunken in or too soft. Clean floors. Bathroom could havw has more shampoo and gel de baño. The bottles are very small and they didn't give us more. The breakfast included was amazing!! And they bring it to your room!! So lovely. Bathroom nice and big and new installations. They let us hang around until 6pm in the downstairs area, waiting for the bus.

Didn't like that they didnt replenish the shampoo or gel de baño, no new towels either. That should be replenished every day.

Great over night stop with lovely rooms.

The room was lovely. The hotel itself is located right in the centre of Rascafria. The hotel has secure parking but there was a car park right outside the front door. I felt my motorcycle would be completely safe there as it is small country town.

I was a little surprised that there was no one at reception. I had not seen the message that the hotel had sent by Whatsapp telling me that the front door was open and that I should let myself in and that my room key was in my room.

Wish it were cleaner

The location, had parking

Room was not vacuumed recently, dust bunnies on the floor and hair balls in the bathroom. Also had mold on the bathroom celing.

Good

Nice location, loads of walks nearby. The lady owner Ana was very efficient in communicating, also in English.

Difficult to access the property with our bags since there were construction works going on in the road that leads up to the side of the property where the service entrance is. Also the small access street( not accessible by car) leading up to the front door of the property is in need of pavement replacement. You can’t roll a stroller or suitcases.
