Produce was lovely but staff not so good. Felt like they wanted us to get out quickly. Didn’t have cups & saucers, spoon for cereal, forgot our toast. Had to keep a fling for things not attentive at all!
Table laid correctly for breakfast and attentive staff

the most stunning situation in heart of Norfolk countryside. Super and fastidiously clean. Rooms are a joy. Private gardens and lovely grounds.

Fabulous food, great breakfast. Great pub atmosphere. Super bedrooms, could not fault it.
Understandably, price loaded for August bank holiday. Might well go there again mid-week to benefit from less expensive rates.

Staff were so welcoming and friendly. The restaurant was very popular and served lovely food. Breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. The room was a great size and very comfortable. Would 100% recommend. Perfect location for a staycation.
We liked everything!

The atmosphere in the pub was excellent. loved the decor.
Regarding our room the pillows were too hard so we had to buy some, and the bed was too firm. Apart from that it was lovely.

Good large room, nice shower, good breakfast
Restaurant was very disappointing. The head chef doesn't work Monday or Tuesdays and the meals must be pre prepared. Consequently there is a very limited choice. We had pre booked the restaurant and requested no garlic as my wife is allergic to it, however 2 of the four starters contained garlic as did all four of the main courses. In addition to this we had no choice as to what time we could eat it had to be 6.30.
I'm sure the restaurant is much better wednesday through to Friday, but very disappointing if you need to stay on a Monday or Tuesday.

the food was lovely. We liked the accommodation in that we could access it without going into the main building. Staff very friendly.
No hanging rail in the bedroom. Hooks on the wall were not enough.

Breakfast was fine, served quickly and very enjoyable.
Nowhere to hang clothes, a minor complaint but would have benefitted with a wardrobe.
Monday and Tuesday limited evening menu.

The bed was most uncomfortable. It was very difficult to get into and out of the bath.
The food was good but at point of booking it should have been clear that no cooked breakfast was available on MOnday.

informal cosy pub atmosphere, real beer, real fires, lovely rooms - interesting design, food was good and my gluten free needs (I am coeliac) were accommodated well. My partner loved the meaty menu
I would have liked more fish dishes on the menu. Also the gluten free bread could have been much better - it was very basic(Waitrose or M and S do really good GF bread - easy to keep in freezer)

We stayed here for a wedding nearby so didn’t eat in the restaurant. Our room was delightful though - spacious and beautifully designed. The bed was super comfortable, all the lights and fittings worked and there was a fancy coffee machine but we didn’t use it. Breakfast was served in a charming side room and was delicious. Tiny niggle: the bathroom is magazine-worthy in design but you can’t reach the controls from the tub. Please stay away everyone else so I can always get a booking here.
I have nothing negative to say.

restaurant was excellent
room very comfortable and quiet.
Breakfast very good.
arrived back late and could have done with some lights near our room..it was a dark approach to it outside.
coffee machine too cumbersome…a Nespresso machine would have been better

Really friendly staff who made we were comfortable. Great selection of local beer in the pub, which is one the best in Norfolk.
Room was in a quiet location within a lovely garden.
