Uncomfortable beds. We froze as the heat was set to 68, but never got warmer than 60 inside some rooms. Left the house secured and came back to keypad entry door wide open. Sketchy area.

All was great except for the beds. They were AWFUL!

The house itself is a little on the older side, but that was ok. It is large, VERY large! We had no problem with space or beds. The furniture is very outdated. I'm not sure what the cleaning fee was for. We went to the store and bought Clorox and Lysol so we could clean. Very dusty. Multiple light bulbs out. Contacted management about faulty thermostat and was told they would get back with me, never heard a word. Neighbors dogs(BIG dogs) run wild, had been in garbage and it was scattered everywhere. Again, contacted management and said they would take care of it, it was still everywhere when we left 4 days later. Also, the dogs bark and charge when you get out of your car. Management told me I should go talk to them about their dogs, that's a negative Ghost Rider! Biggest issue for me was the lack of cleaning despite paying a cleaning fee. Despite this, I still feel it was a good value.

Wouldn't stay here again
Someone trashed the house prior to Our arrival. We had to clean it up because they couldn't get anyone out there that night. The roads leading up to the cabin are long, winding, curvy, and dark. Several of the doors at the cabin were unlocked and the home has an odor when You intially walk in. There needs to be some type of light at the driveway so it's easier to find in the dark. The home is definitely in the woods. We had to leave the dining area of the home due to the fact We saw a rodent. Where there's one, there's definitely more.

Great weekend!
Family reunion from three other states to celebrate my dad's life (he is 95). Accomodations were perfect, setting was gorgeous, large enough sitting for meals was great, and nice kitchen.
Only one suggestion. It would have been good to have a more detail check out process; things like what to do with trash, used towels and things like that. Something on site to inform guests.
Great property that fit our needs.

Laurel Lodge
The amount of space in the house was amazing. The kitchen had been remodeled along with one of the upstairs bathrooms and they were very nice. There was a bit of a smell upon arriving and opening the door into the dining room, but I think it was just where the house has been unoccupied. You could easily sleep 20 people in the house! It would have been nice to have had a pool table or something for the kids to do. Also, the only TV that worked was one in the downstairs bedroom. The kids TV upstairs played DVDs. The yard, especially the back, could use a little sprucing up. Overall, this was a great house for the money and it worked well for our family.

Has potential
The house is spacious and the property is very pretty but, it needs a lot of help. Every single bed needs to be replaced. There are also rats, living under the stairs. The kitchen only had one working light. We were disappointed. We could’ve had a great vacation if the house was improved, there is potential.

Vacation trip
The house was big for our family of 17 very nice in the inside and out. The things we didn’t like was the drive, the beds wasn’t comfortable at all, two of beds fell apart soon we sat on them, it was a smell soon as we walked in, dust and the neighbors were playing loud music and their kids were up super early playing basketball when we were trying to sleep

Convenient & Clean
Laurel Lodge at Mountain Cove was a very spacious home that has a great living room and den to enjoy your company or get away from the crowd too. It was very convenient to Dahlonega and not far from restaurants. It was quite and peaceful and we enjoyed our stay. We would definitely consider using this property again!

Save your $$ book something else.
I had reached out prior to our check in to see about an early check in. I received no response. Per the website no early check ins are permitted due to the property being clean for our arrival. That was a joke! This place was disgusting! It looked like it had not been cleaned in MONTHS! There were cobwebs and dust on everything from the beds, lampshades to the walls and towels in the bathrooms. There were bugs on the walls, in the beds, and in the showers. We were charged a cleaning fee upon booking this cabin and yet had to spend an additional $165 on cleaning supplies and new bedding. I reached out to Vacasa the day of check in and was told they would get someone on it and reach out to cleaners for the property. I never received a call back and no one ever came to clean. The whole cabin is falling apart, shower handles were broken, window screens torn, floors were buckled. It smelled of mold and musk. There was no upkeep in anyway of this property. Completely out dated and the neighbors had everything but the front sink out on their yard. I am completely disappointed in this property and how vacasa handled everything.

Great for a family gathering
We chose this property to allow our family and friends to stay with us for a nice vacation weekend. The property is large with plenty of space for people to space out and large enough for plenty of seating when together. The driveway and entryway is gravel and was a little difficult to get in and out of with multiple cars but still a great property.

Lots of NEVERS: Never Safe, Never Again, Never Delivered
NEVER SAFE: 1) Between 1-6am, at least 1-3 ppl sat on the bridge bench feet from the front door & left 3 beer cans as proof; 2) sheer or missing curtains over doors incl. full length bathroom one leading to porch (we walked right up & saw grandkid brushing teeth); 3) previously water-stained ceiling in master bedroom sprang a pouring leak onto bed halfway through filling tub upstairs; 4) several dogs freely roamed the back patio area & came right up to family incl. kids. NEVER AGAIN: 5) Grill had to be serviced while there just to be useable; 6) fire pit pictured had been removed so outdoor cooking plans were obliterated; 7) entire length of the property smelled like "a giant poopy dog park" which stunted A LOT of outdoor plans (during a pandemic). NEVER DELIVERED: The property is quite large & has potential if maintained & fenced, but maintenance & cleanliness of outdoor property & home were non-existent (cobwebs everywhere, tall grass, garbage left in cans near parking lot was dragged across the street). Adding that to the 7 major problems above left our group saying never again for this Laurel Lodge.

Great Mother-Daughter Weekend!
This house was perfect for our Mother-Daughter weekend! W had 16 people and PLENTY of room. Everyone had there own bed. The bathrooms and kitchen were updated and fully equipped. The front porch was a favorite...situated by a babbling brook. Thank you for providing a comfortable space for ALL of us!

Great space for a family wedding weekend!
This was a great space for our family to gather for our nephew's wedding at Montaluce Winery. The space was amazing and everything was nice and well kept.

We went down for the North Georgia Revival in Dawsonville! The location was not to far from Dawsonville. The house was just perfect! We had 16 people and everyone had their own bed! There was plenty of room to spread out. You could even get away and have your own privacy! The house was clean! We all agreed we would definitely stay there again!

Super location for ladies’ Dahlonegah weekend.
The kitchen was lovely and there were plentiful places to sleep. It was disappointing that there was no power in the master bedroom and lighting in the main areas of the home were spotty.

Everything was Great!! House was perfect in size. Only issue we had was a couple of the beds were not in tact! So we didn't get to utilize them. But overall...the trip was perfect! My family loved it!! Will be booking again in the future!!

Great family lodge
Mountain Cove was perfect for our family. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Kids loved the bunk rooms. Beautiful surroundings. The creek running through the property was lovely.

Room to spread out
Good place for large group to gather. Loads of beds and large dining area. Could use a second fridge given the number of people that can stay but other than that we had a great time.

I would not recommend this home to no one.
Not clean, mice problem, broken lights, neighbor pit bull running up to cars. Neighbors park there cars on the yard.

Be aware
It is hard to summarize. I sent a lengthy email to Vacasa with a request to refund some of our money. We booked for April and paid all the fees, some of which disnt seem to be right, but paid them. We had to cancel due to Covid national health emergency and the state shut down. We rescheduled for July and the price had dog led and we had to pay all the same fees again. When we arrived, the house had not been cleaned and fixtures were falling down. The ice maker disnt work, the dishwasher disnt work, the coffee pots didn't work and there was a wasp infestation I. The back decks. All this cost us extra money as we had to drive 10 miles into town twice a day for ice, had to buy dish detergent amf had to buy a coffee pot that worked. Too much to mention here. My letter was received, but no response on refunding some of our money.

Laurel Lodge
Terrific vacation spot for our large extended family. The grandkids loved the double-bed bunks! Separate “wings” for the boys and girls was also great.
Upstairs level on kitchen side was much too warm-the A/C did not effectively cool that area.

Good place
Everything is fine, but if you change the furniture, the house would be much better, because some beds are a bit loose, because they are old. But it is a place is very good for large families, ....

Family Christmas Gathering
Was indeed large enough to kick off your shoes, sit back in your own space or have a dinner for 16 or more. We had a great time just to relax and bond with family. Just what we needed.

1st Family Christmas
We loved Laurel Lodge. So spacious and accommodating.plenty of room for the entire family of 16 plus more. Only one thing missing and that was about 6 nice rockers on the front porch. The beds and linens were very nice and plentiful. Thanks once again to Ms Lesley for meeting our needs.

the house was a nice size for a big party but very dirty
we asked if we could check in early a couple of months ahead of time, they told us they would let us know at 9 the of if we could check in early,we got up there at 2 no one was there so we knew the cleaning crew was done,so we called them they we very rude and said no that we couldn't check in, found out later if we would have paid extra we could have.but we were never told that. Got in the house was very dirty, under beds we found a inch of dust and old water bottles, pens mens pants.the air conditioning was not working properly, they sent some repair me out but the upstairs still was not cool, the bathroom near the kitchen stunk very bad and there gnats coming out of the drain, we have a group of ladies that rent a house once a year to get together and play cards, this was the first time we have had such a dirty house and a rude experience with the rental company Vacasa I will never go thur them.

Needs more maintenance
Poor cleaning maintenance, dirty floors, beer bottles in living room and food fro I don't know how long forgotten in kitchen cabinets. I did write an email to the company I have not heard from them, very strong humidity smell inside the house. We were evacuees from hurricane Dorian almost everything was booked and this property looked like a good option but it was very disappointing after a long drive to get there and find things like this when the place is supposed to be ready and cleaned so people can enjoy their stay. The good part is the front yard with the stream I think that was the best part of the property.

Great house, tons of beds
We had five families staying in this home, and had great space for all of us. The dining room was enormous, with plenty of space for everyone. There were two living room areas, which was beneficial. The outside area was fabulous, with a large yard for kids to play in. We also loved the hiking trail at the end of the road, and enjoyed touring the koi fish business a few houses down. The downsides were that the kitchen is the main thoroughfare between the dining room and the rest of the house, some of the beds were super creaky and uncomfortable, and there were sheer curtains on many windows/doors, including the bathroom for the largest bedroom in the house! (Speaking of bathrooms, one positive feature of the house was that we could take showers in any number of bathrooms at the same time, and it didn't affect water pressure.) Oh, also, the air conditioning didn't seem to be working in one part of the house, so that area was quite hot while we were there. Overall, we had a great experience with this house! (And never saw the bear that a neighbor warned us about.)

HUGE
This is a great place for hosting a family reunion because there was plenty of space available. We had a party of 15 but because of the size of the house you couldn’t tell it. The front yard scenery would be perfect for an outdoor wedding also.

💖 Our Stay 💖
We loved the cabin, had enough room for everyone. The kids all had a bed to their self. The creek out back was a great place for pictures. The back was plenty of room for the kids to play. The barq area was a great place to have geust over for a cookout. The only thing I didn't see a light for under the shelter just a light at the back door. We had a lovely time. P.S. We had a friendly visitor (neighborhood dog) we all loved the visit very sweet dog.💖 Peggy T

Big House!
It is off the beaten path, shares a driveway the neighboring property. plenty of room for a lot of people. Kitchen had a good amount of pots and pans--although we had a small group, prolly not enough for a big group. The wifi is sloooooow. We got 1M download with our speed tests--making it difficult to stream movies. The main TV is small and no DVD player forces streaming which is tough. But it worked out and we enjoyed our stay.

We'll be back.
What a wonderful house! Brought my church youth group for a quiet retreat weekend and the house more than met our needs. House was very well stocked and reasonably clean. The reason for the 4 stars is the parking. Neighbors parked at bottom side of fence which forced us to back all the way out...but still plenty of parking. Loved our stay and we will be returning.

A beautiful getaway with country charm! Perfect for a group retreat.
We loved our time and the area. It had plenty of room for families and singles. We loved the dinning room able to seat all of us! The brook on the property was a total delight, especially for the kids.
