Super friendly and accommodating

The room was modern with air conditioning and comfortable beds. The bathroom was new. There is a shared kitchen, although we didn't end up using it except for making coffee and tea once. The property is pretty and relatively small. It is walking distance to Playa La Ropa that has restaurants. There is also an Oxxo store for basics (like 711 in the US), but not much else. You can take a "combi/public van" into the town of Zihuatanejo or a taxi. Nice town with lots of restaurants and bars and shops. Snorkeling was mediocre, both at Playa Los Gatos and La Isla Ixtapa.

Highly recommend.
Such a great room and a cool swimming pool
My room had an hamaca, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, ocean view balcony, air-conditioning, Cable TV
Was so comfortable, La Ropa beach is 2min walking. This is a great hotel

We were on the third floor with a lovely view out to the ocean and a communal kitchen (open air, one half of the third floor) outside our door. The property is very close to the beach with easy access. It’s also about 100m from Paty’s Bar / Restaurant…..a perfect spot for sunset happy hour. The pool was very quiet and pleasant. Small fridge in the room but a large, shared, fridge in the kitchen. Super facilities for making coffee in the morning. If you’re staying for a bit and planning to cook you might want to upgrade the pots.

Good location, about 100-150 m to the beach, which you can walk wearing the swimming suit or throw a towel on.
They give beach towels if you ask.
The beach is amazing! One of the best beaches I've seen around the world. But it's best on weekdays, cause people flock on weekends, and it might get crowded with families, boats and jet-skies. There is still space for everyone.
There are a couple of good local places to eat in about 5-7 min walk. Also an OXXO at about the same distance. However, the area is hilly, it might be difficult for an elderly person to go up and down. About 30 min walk to the center, and minibuses run on the upper street.
A good surprise was that they have a fully equipped kitchen. However, as I understood it is only on the 3rd floor (I stayed on the 3rd). There is a small kinda separate villa, probably it has it's own kitchen too, no idea.
The place is quiet, you can get a good sleep, if the neighbors are not loud. I was lucky, no-one disturbed me. But for a late sleeper there is a minor problem. Some local birds start to 'sing' (more like shout) at around 8 am... Very loudly, but probably it's seasonal, no idea. Anyway, ear plugs would come in handy. Or probably if you sleep with your balcony door shut they won't disturb you. I like to hear the ocean sound, so I had my balcony door open.
The AC was working ok, for AC lovers.
The view is ok, you can see the ocean horizon, but the view is like very open.
The balcony was of a very decent size, with nice furniture and a hammock. Definitely helpful for those who travel as a couple, as it can act as a second room to escape :)
They cleaned the room EVERY day, which I never saw in any hotel after pandemic (at least in US). Changed towels, did the bed, etc...
Also, there is a space for parking, and their territory is gated. To park outside will be complicated on weekends. The street is full with taxis.
There is also a decent size pool with a small waterfall.
No elevator, but it's just a 3-floor building.

This place is great. very clean and steps from the beach.
shower wasn’t fantastic. my aircon broke down but they were able to fix it w/in a couple days

location, no bar on-site so quieter, not on the beach (couple of minute walk), staff, having access to a kitchen for morning coffee/meals. Easy to get into Zihuatanejo by bus. Lots of cabs available if needed. Close to some really good restaurants (within 5-15 minute walk)

Quite but an excellent location to the beach and restaurants.

the staff, the view, the pool, the charming feel-
the property is very dated and a little bare bones but very convenient location and clean - everything you need if you just want a simple stay with wonderful staff.

Arturo was great.

The location is the best. Very close to La Ropa Beach. Our room was big with two double beds. At first the fridge didn't work and David brought in a new one. I was impressed with that. The staff is great, Esme, Memo, Carmen and David. We will definitely stay here again. It is a budget hotel but the location is superior.
We asked for water and they charged us 50 Pesos for a big 10 litre bottle with stand. We would have spent more buying water at the OXXO but most places we have stayed included the water. Plus we were only there for 4 days so only used half of it.

Very friendly and helpful staff. They went the extra mile to provide water, glasses, cups and dishes and beach towels. They have attractive gardens, shade at the pool, and the ambience is very pleasant. They are half a block form the beach with many restaurants nearby. And it is a short walk up the hill to get the minibus into town or to restaurants for 13 pesos. And excellent hotel and location.

Friendly staff and spotless room at this cheerful budget hotel with pool just steps from the beach.
Terraces should have a table and two comfy chairs for sitting. Instead we had a desk and one wooden dining chair.
8.0
- great location very close to the beach (one minute walking)
- nice premises with comfy pool
- very friendly and helpful staff
- nicely renovated bathroom
- small supermarket opposite of hotel
- rooms on upper floor are extremely hot (May/June) but there is air conditioning
- very old and kinda rusty fridge in the room, even though it still worked
- due to heat (and probably infrastructure installations) sewer in bathroom had quite strong smell

Just steps from the beach and restaurants. Extremely clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Laura at reception helped set up my covid test and amenities I didn't bring!
Started off in room 10 , bottom floor. 2 beds, hard as rocks and couldn't get any rest. Laura apologized and moved us to 3rd floor . Bed was much better but the air conditioner didn't work well . There is no elevator so lugging my things upstairs was a challenge but I survived and would actually stay again!

This lovely old hotel has 11 rooms and the owner lives on the property. 2 minute walk to the beach, fabulous ocean views and breeze, large balconies. Old and quirky but the location and room size can't be beat. I would never stay anywhere else in Zihuatanejo. Loved the staff.
The shower pressure is not great, but there was always hot water.

Clean and tidy old hotel. I had a great balcony overlooking the bay. Pool area comfy and clean too. Very close to the beach and numerous restaurants.
Very limited water pressure in bathroom. Kitchen did not have more than 1 mug and the pots were in pretty rough shape. Had to buy drinking water at a 70% markup.

Me and my gfriend stayed for 8 days, very close to beach. We had the ocean view and didn't close out patio at night and could hear the ocean
The water pressure was a bit low but after we mentioned it they fixed it.

Very good price-value ratio. Rooms are quite clean, hammock on the balcony with wiev to the ocean.
No wifi in the rooms. Only at the reception. No hot water for shower.

very good location, close to the beach. nice rooftop for viewing sunrise/sunset. hot water for showering. the staff was very friendly. the room was big, the bed was huge. they upgraded me the the private villa with the private kitchen. they even installed a hammock for me upon request. pool area looked nice.
wifi only available in the reception area, it did not reach the room. surfaces like doorknobs and light switches felt a little grimy.

Location
I hid my cash in my room because there was no safe. It went missing. The balcony door had no lock. It was either an intruder or the cleaner

No breakfast served. We prepared our breakfast in the nice patio/kitchen. The location is exceptional a few steps from the beach, restaurants, taxi stop and small food market. There are just a few patio/kitchen available at the hotel. Clean swimming pool.
Old furniture and drapery, poorly kept. The kitchen was out of use for a long time, so we had to take time for cleaning. High level of noise early in the morning from the street. No Wi-Fi the room.

The room had a very nice ocean view, it is only a few metters from the beach, pool is nice.
It is a but dirty and the rooms need maintenance
