The view from our bedroom and the property was incredible! Absolutely breathtaking! We loved being close to Eureka Springs while being even closer to the lakes and hiking trails.
Eureka Jim is a gracious host who was able to tell us about things we hadn’t done yet in the area and info on things we wanted to do again.
The Nest was a very comfortable and artistic lodgings. We all slept very well there and enjoyed hanging out there after a long days hiking and shopping. Even our corgi loved it!
We definitely recommend staying there and plan to on our next trip to Eureka Springs.

It was a scenic, quiet and quirky place. Its artistic flair matched the style of Eureka Springs. Eureka Jim went above and beyond with his hospitality and knowledge of all the things to do and places to eat in Eureka. It was close to hiking trails in Lake Leatherwood and Beaver Lake. We loved our view of the Ozark mountains from the bedroom! Jim connected us with a local artist named Randy, the Sandman. We had a great time creating sand art! Randy was a wonderful teacher! We would definitely stay here again!

Great home with plenty of room for the whole family. The house is very warm and decorated to the occasion. Jetted bath is awesome and beds are comfortable. Close to all the attractions but far enough for those quiet nights by the fire pit. We loved it.

Mom and 2 young adult daughters got super lucky to book this extra special place! SUPER spacious but so warm and welcoming. 2 outdoor seating areas, beautiful sunset view, the property had lots of art all around. Mr Jim is as sweet as we could have asked for, he left us a dozen beautiful rainbow mixed eggs! We will defintely be back soon! Thank you Jim 😊

My fiancée and I came to Arkansas at the beginning of fall and the weather was so perfect! We came to spend our Wedding at The Nest and found the Host exceptionally kind and generous with his property. There are too many amazing and quirky accents and attributes to mention! The most important thing to know is that if you want it - whatever It is - it is either already there in The Nest, or the amazing Host will get it for you. If you tell him what would make your stay perfect, I’m sure he would help you have it.
You will have every comfort made available to you, and I know that every night you will find majik all around you - even in the trees.

This house is decorated in Eureka Springs artful quirkiness. Hospitality rates 10 out of 10. We were welcomed with cake, wine, a very cute marquee sign and special treats and accommodations for our fur baby. Communication with the host from time of booking until we departed was great! The location was perfect. Just a few miles to the lakes and hiking trails and a few miles to the heart of Eureka Springs. We will definitely book again for our next visit

Wonderful host with a vivid imagination in constructing The Nest. Lots of space and very clean. Just the right amount of outside town to be in the midst of everything in a few short minutes. Our dogs loved their stay as well. Would love to see a fenced in section in the grassy area from the Coca Cola porch where we could let the fur babies wander in and out at their leisure but there was plenty of free space to walk them outside. Once of the best experiences we've had with VRBO. Thanks Jim!

Fun Basement Lodging near Opera of the Ozarks
It was hard to wipe the smile off of our faces when looking around at all of the decorative retro items. Fun and nice to be in the country overlooking a gorgeous valley. We loved our stay.
Notes: Lighting is low. Difficult to read by, especially at night. We could have used more outlets. A full-length mirror would have been nice (on the wall at the closet?).

Comfortable lodging in quiet setting
We brought our two sons to Eureka for the weekend. The views were lovely (just wish the weather would have been warmer to enjoy them). It was very comfortable and the youngest had a GREAT outdoor place to practice with his new slingshot. They didn't want to leave. 😆

Loved the artwork and the decor. Unique items that kept surprising us each day. So very eclectic. We love Eureka Springs and this place is so close to many areas. Jim is a wonderful host and strives to make sure you have everything you need. Loved the lights outside at night. Very peaceful.

Decent but Beware
Not sure why i was charged $150 xtra person fee when it sleeps 10 and we had 4 adults & one 11yr old sleeping in the 3 beds advertised? Surface was clean but found something personal in bedroom drawer from a past guest- which was a turn off. I loved the location and eclectic decor bc it totally represents Eureka! Patio is quaint and enjoyed the twinkle in the trees- Host was pleasant, informative, quiet upstairs and nearby for assistance- Living room couch to sit on was awful … no more support left in it. Again, Beware of the xtra person fee?!

This was a slice of heaven and the perfect getaway for my 50th birthday and celebration of 29 years of marriage. All the decor was just beautiful! And the view is magnificent. The Nest at 188 - WOW!! Unique is an understatement!
WOW!! This place is amazing. I have rented 50+ VRBO and other homes and without a doubt this one will stay in my memory forever. I loved it because of its uniqueness - very quirky. It's definitely NOT for children because of the amount of collectibles and art. Since it is Spring, the outdoor magic gardens and pond are a work in progress right now, and to fully appreciate those you should stay in the summer or fall. Jim has the home stocked above and beyond what I've ever experienced. Communication with him was great - he even delivered a package to me sent to his address. If dust bothers you, well you might set that aside or not stay here. It would be impossible to thoroughly dust every knickknack every week. Overall, the home was clean and very comfortable. Jim lives in the upstairs part of the home so he is very accessible; we were comforted by his presence there, but some may not like that. The home is 5 miles (20 minutes) from Eureka Springs. We had many trips back and forth to town so we had to allow plenty of time for travel back and forth. The curvy road may be an annoyance to some - it didn't bother us. The birds residing at and around the house are various and beautiful. Scenery is beautiful. There are neighbors, but we didn't notice them at all. Would definitely stay at The Nest at 188 again. Thanks to Jim for everything!

Quaint, eclectic place in the mountains with beautiful views
The place was very unique and had lots to explore inside the home. The jacuzzi tub was relaxing and that room has the best view. The place was very surface clean and the owner was very conscientious of COVID-19, but unfortunately my sensitive allergies found the dust bunnies. The place was in a quite neighborhood just outside of town. Step outside at night the owner has placed twinkling lights in the trees that add to the ambiance created by the sound of the small fish pond. Overall, would recommend and would rent again if staying in the area.

Uniquely Delightful
The host met us when we arrived and helped my sister and I carry in our luggage and gave us a tour. The place had a surprise everywhere you looked! It was convenient to Hwy 62 so we went to Eureka Springs and Crystal Bridges. The view was beautiful and we enjoyed watching the birds.

The view is worth it!
The decor is quite eclectic as evidenced in the listing pictures. The main bedroom has calmer decorations and an amazing view from the full length windows. The upstairs floor does creak quite badly above the main bedroom, but overall, a very peaceful place to stay!

Anniversary/fishing getaway
I cannot say enough good about “The Nest”. It was the most beautiful, peaceful space, I’ve encounter in quite sometime. Jim toured us around and made sure we knew where everything was and how it worked. He gave insight on some good fishing spots and restaurants in town. He’s a pleasure to talk to and we cannot wait to bring our daughters and friends back, too big for just the two of us, although that’s all we needed this weekend.

THE NEST IS VERY NICE BUT NEEDS A NEW SOFA AND LESS MOSQUITOES AND LESS MOSQUITOES
Our four nights at THE NEST were very good. James was perfect host. Unique decorations are everywhere inside and outside. We had everything needed at hand. James told us to park our trike under his carport out of the rain which was big enough for our trailer to haul trike. Location for riding motorbike and enjoying top of mountain view was just fine in the daytime. At night there are many mosquitoes and this could be improved on by screening in the Coca Cola porch to enjoy fairy-like outside lighting and emptying all containers holding water growing mosquitoes. Another important thing that could be improved is living room sofa needs replacing badly. Our knees were higher than our hips so that made it hard to get up and down. All appliances worked great. Kitchen is older and small but it works for one to two people. Washer and dryer also are in the kitchen which is why only four stars for cleanliness as dirty underwear and food do not mix well in my spaces. We would like to return and hope screen porch is finished as sitting outside at night was uncomfortable getting ate up by mosquitoes. Susan and Jerry Larson
