Although the neighborhood wasn't the best, my husband and I found shops, trains, MCU Park Stadium, Luna Park, Brighton Beach, even grocery stores very near us; walking distance. We didn't even had to move our car. Room was comfortable, but floors were a little squicky; could hear the upstair's resident walk in the upstairs unit all the time. There was no elevator, but it wasn't much to walk up. Overall, my trip was wonderful!

Fantastic!
I contacted Edwin about this property early in the year to book for the Mermaid Parade weekend. He accepted my reservation in a timely fashion. I did message him with a few questions prior to my stay as well, which he kindly answered. Check-in was simple. The apartment was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed for my stay. The location was perfect for the Parade festivities as well. I’m planning to return next year and am hoping to rent from Edwin again. Overall, fantastic!!!

Iconic Coney Island
This place is great if you want to be just outside of Manhattan and still be able to get on the subway system to the city. You can walk the iconic boardwalk of Coney Island and have a hot dog from the famous Nathan's that is about a block away. This place is a little difficult to find parking but not impossible.

Renter Beware/ Constrution Mess
After driving 9hrs to get to Brooklyn on 4/5/19 with no advanced warning from owner we drove into a construction mess. Streets and side walks tore up and blocked off, heavy construction equipment all around. Specifically the big hammers pounding beams down in the ground/ very noisy.
Called the owner about it when we got there and he agreed to full refund initially, but after he called and talked to VRBO/HomeAway came back and would only give me a partial refund. Owner did not have the decency to let me know about the construction going on prior to my arrival so I could make an informed on time decision. Instead I am not only out money from the partial refund, it also cost me more to find a hotel to stay at last minute/ same day. I contacted VRBO/ HomeAway several times( over 2hrs total) who ended up not helping with the situation.

Nice and quiet
Very nice place to stay...
All what you need is there...
A place to recommand when you are searching a place to stay in New York

CLEAN PROPERTY
The property was clean. However, this is not really a HOME AWAY. The property lacks decor and just appears as a place to drop your bags and lay your head. The neighborhood is very intimidating. While its close proximity to Coney Island makes it an ideal location. But the neighborhood is not the best.

Coney Island Couples Retreat.
Nice one bedroom apartment. Just two blocks from Coney Island and a five minute walk to the subway, that will take you anywhere in the New York City area. The apartment is fully furnished, one bathroom with towels. All you need in the kitchen, just like at home. We saved money by eating breakfast before we ventured out for our days in the city. We saw a concert at the Ford Ampitheatre, at Coney Island, 10 minute walk, Great Venue. As with anywhere you travel, be vigalant when walking to and from apartment, subway,, restaurant etc... We shopped at the local florist, nice family. Plenty of small stores nearby for essentials. Lots of nice restaurants nearby, including Nathan's and a McDonald's. We drove from Wisconsin and paid a little extra for off street parking. We did drive around a little when we got to town to see some of the local neighborhoods, like Brighton Beach and Coney Island. We really took in local flavor of the area and would have spent more time locally if we had more time. All in all we had a pleasant stay, slept well and got all we wanted and needed from our Coney Island Apartment. When we travel, we rarely spend much time in our accommodations except for sleeping and maybe one meal. I recommend this property and Edwin is a fine host.

Convenient location, excellent hosts
I spent a weekend in Coney Island for an event at the NY Aquarium and found this location to be exactly what I was looking for. The subway was a short (6-min) walk from the apartment which allowed me easy access to Manhattan for dinner with friends Friday night. For the event Saturday and Sunday, the boardwalk was another 6-min walk from the apartment so I could get around without having to drive. The apartment was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and I felt completely safe. I stayed there alone but the apartment could comfortably hold a couple more people. Ed and his wife were friendly, easy to reach for check-in and check-out logistics, and I would definitely stay with them again!

Great Value for our Money
My family and I booked this vacation home spur of the moment the day after Christmas and it was absolutely perfect. Perfect location, plenty of shops and food near by, and the owner was extremely helpful and supplied everything that was needed. We enjoyed it so much that we are looking forward to coming back over the summer. I highly recommend this rental to anyone interested!

Great location!
This property was perfect for our stay in Coney Islsnd. We were greeted promptly upon our arrival & shown to the private lot which made for no hassle parking. Isabella showed us around. The space itself provided everything we needed and was perfectly located for our trip, especially for seeing a show at the ampetheatre. Getting to the boardwalk, grabbing a drink, the beach & the venue were less than 5 minute walk. The subway is only a few blocks and made it easy for us to get to a show in Manhattan the first night. Some of our friends going to the ampetheatre show couldn't believe we were able to find a rental so close to the venue! If you have tickets to a show &/or want to be close to the boardwalk & beach action... This place is for you. Edwin did a great job making sure we had a nice stay & thanked us on our way out. We would recommend & stay again.

Thank you.
I just want to say even though I ended up not renting this property Edwin was very understanding as to why. He kindly rejected my request to rent his place after I already put my payment through (which was what I asked him to do so I wouldn't be charged a fee). Since he rejected my request I was not charged any cancellation fee. If he hadn't rejected it as asked ( I called him directly) I would have been charged a 50% cancellation fee. I just want to say thank you for understanding my reason for my need to cancel. I'm sure whoever rents from him will be welcomed with a very nice host.
