About this house rental

This 1938 Dutch colonial beauty is rich in history and has been completely renovated and updated. Nestled just blocks from the ocean to the east and wooded parks to the west, this home is in the perfect location for all island activities. This historic home boasts 5 bedrooms, 4 full baths with the capacity to sleep up to 14 people. Note: Towels and linens are not provided.

This five-bedroom uniquely designed home is located only 4 blocks from the Boardwalk and the ocean, easily accessible by a multi-use bike/pedestrian trail just across the street. There is a fenced-in patio on the side of the house, and a deck on the back with an outdoor shower.

Every bed has pillows and comforters. Towels and linens are not provided for this property. Towels and linens can be rented from Seaside Linen. Total sheet sets needed: 3-Queen beds (queen sheets will work on XL double), 1-Queen sofa bed, 1-Double bed, 1-Double futon bed, and 4-Twin/trundle beds.

The upstairs sleeps 10 comfortably and features 4 bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Bedroom 1 has a queen with en-suite bath with an adjoining bedroom with a single bed and trundle; bedroom 2 has a double XL bed; bedroom 3 has a double bed; and bedroom 4 has a twin bed with trundle. Also, the upstairs loft has a double futon. The downstairs sleeps 4, and featuring a master bedroom with a queen bed and an en-suite bath, as well as a queen pull-out sofa in the living room.

Rentals are flexible, with 3-night minimum stay. There is parking for 4 to 5 vehicles in the back of the property.

History-
Monty Sly built this house for his family in 1938. The family lived in the downstairs and rented out the upstairs rooms during WW II to young wives whose husbands were in the service. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary, romantically rich in history and close the beach this is your place!

The property was in excellent condition and accommodated all 14 of us easily. Close enough to the boardwalk and beach, yet far enough away to enjoy quiet time. The Thursday night fireworks were very enjoyable. Also found nany neat shops.

My family and I made more happy memories during our third stay. The location, the house, and plenty of space were perfect. By renting a golf cart, we had easy access to the boardwalk, shops, entertainment, and the beach. Thanks, Ruth! Looking forward to future visits!!

The house was beautiful and close to the boardwalk. We really enjoyed the large deck out back after a long day at the beach. We grilled out and had a family cornhole championship with the provided boards. Debi was very reaponsive and kind. We would love to stay here again!

Right on the corner and less than a half mile walk to the beach. Small enough from a family yet big enough for 9/10 men to share their own place to lay their head. A few very minor issues. (1) The dishwasher, I couldn't get it to start. Later one of the guys finally got it to work. (2) The cleaning people forget to cleanout the coffee pot and AC vent (3) The window in a the upstairs room to the right needs some TLC. Overall, I would stay there again. My group enjoyed the place as well. My rating is 4.6 out of 5.

This is the second summer we have stayed at “Carolina Dreaming.” It is a fantastic property that is located in a nice neighborhood, but the beach is close by. We rented a golf cart which gave us easy and quick access the beach, boardwalk, and shops. The four bathrooms, outside shower, and multiple bedrooms met our needs perfectly. The house is very well equipped for a happy stay. The owner and property manager are friendly and responsive. I highly recommend this beach house if you want to make special memories!!!

The house is much more roomy than the photos show. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen is the best stocked of all the homes I've rented. Local help was available if we needed, which we did not need. Neighborhood was nice and friendly. Close to eateries, bars, ice cream, board walk, amusement park, and best of all, the beach. I'm 72 and could walk everywhere in 20 minutes. We plan on booking for next year as soon as we as we check everyones calenders. BEST PLACE EVER!
