I was very disappointed in my choice of home I rented especially for the price. It is an older home which is fine but not very accommodating. Many cob webs and dolls and some personal pictures which made us uncomfortable. There is laminated signs everywhere throughout the house, the yard, beds, and tables. The signs were many rules telling you you’ll be charged for random things, it was a very uncomfortable feeling of being paranoid that we possibly could be charged for so many different things. It is not a vacation spot. I felt like it was at my strict grandmother‘s house. The host was nice over the text however the only time we ever interacted is about the AC it did not work and we were in 102° weather. The home was over 82° inside. She told me to open the windows and she would have someone there the next day. I felt I paid way too much money for all of us to be uncomfortable and sweating all night. She did send somebody the but the HVAC system is so old it was taking forever to cool off. Our group went into Salt Lake City to our concert and by the time we got back to the home, the AC unit was not working again. We packed up the next morning and left a day early. We cleaned the house thoroughly because we were so nervous and took pictures of everything so we couldn’t be charged for anything we know we did not do. The signs of rules everywhere was ridiculous. But an AC unit not working and that hot of weather was not OK she knew there was already a problem with the AC.

House was well appointed, very comfortable.

Overall, we enjoyed this house for our gathering of 17 people. Ample sleeping, eating, and activity space for everyone and nice features such as the movie theater room and pool table. Yes, there are a lot of signs and instructions posted throughout, but it didn’t detract once you read them. Properties have rules, no big deal. Most of the rooms and bedrooms had TVs, so those were nice for those who wanted to watch their own shows. As far as the air-conditioning goes, the lower level definitely was more comfortable temperature-wise, but the main level and kitchen struggled quite a bit with the heat, despite us keeping the shades closed and even running fans throughout. Not a deal-breaker, but it was definitely hot on the main level from the afternoon through the night. Communications with the owners were really good. One suggestion: new nonstick cooking pans to use.

This was a lovely house with a beautiful view and great for my large family. We all enjoyed the location, the beautiful sunsets, and the proximity to restaurants, stores, and nature. There were many things to do for all of us and we enjoyed the house very much. Very nice home, thank you!

We stayed here with our HS boys basketball team and loved it. Key points were large theater room where everyone could hang out. Great lawn for games. And big dining areas so everyone was together. The host was incredible and kind. We loved our stay!

First time VRBO user…We were a little nervous not knowing what to expect. We were looking for a place that could accommodate our large extended family with adults, youth and children and the home did not disappoint. Plenty of space for visiting and playing games together. The back yard is perfect for outdoor sports or games for the kids. The hot tub was a big hit during the cool nights, and the theater was very cool. Plenty of dishes and supplies to accommodate our large family. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

The property is great. Just be aware that there are out door security cameras at the house that make you feel a little uncomfortable.

We loved our stay here! The house was perfect for our large extended family ski vacation and was well stocked with everything we needed including multiple baby gates to block off the stairs, a portacrib, a high chair, a large griddle for cooking, crockpots, bbq, and plenty of dishes and glassware! I have never stayed at such a well stocked VRBO that made it very easy to cook meals at the house for our group of 17. The house is in a great location in Sandy on the “Sandy Bench”, close to necessities and a bunch of different ski areas. It was perfect for our ski trip! The owners were quick to respond if there was an issue or a question. I highly recommend this VRBO! Thank you for making our family vacation so easy!

Don't let the owner nickel and dime you - they claim they can keep your damage deposit for cleaning. I called vrbo and got it right back without a fuss. Place was cool.

The property was overall well maintained and very cozy. My kids, nieces, and nephews in particular had a great time playing games and watching movies. The kitchen was very well stocked for preparing our Thanksgiving and other meals. Beds were very comfortable and Mary provided plenty of supplies for our 4 day stay.
The home was described as a “luxury mountainside retreat,” and while the word luxury can have different meanings to different individuals, I thought much of the home was more rustic in design and layout. Fixtures and appliances were functional but not high end/luxury. The location was a bit out of the way, not very close to Salt Lake or the mountains but a manageable drive. The neighborhood was a typical suburban subdivision. Views from the home, particularly after the snowfall Thanksgiving evening, were beautiful.
Mary was gracious and made check-in easy and answered any questions promptly. Thank you Mary! There are a lot of signs inside the property - the instructions to some degree were very helpful (I.e. operating the theater room) but on the other hand others were redundant, unnecessary, and take away from the charm of the home. As a landlord for a rental property, I understand the concern to have visitors and renters treat your home with respect but as a host or landlord you just have to accept the inherent risk of leasing or renting out your property even when covering yourself contractually.
Overall I recommend this home for a family trip.

The property was deficient in many areas, the sofas in the main living room were worn, torn, and not one spring in them was in tact. Shocking to have such bad furniture in a home as nice that was well furnished otherwise. Upon arriving we were met with a barrage of 'notes' with instructions, restrictions, and other information that were not included in the listing including one that banned eating or drinking in the living room, home theater, and TV viewing areas. Nobody would have a gathering where people can't drink and eat snacks while watching a movie or TV - very disappointing. Had some of these notes been shown on the listing, I would have never booked the property. Finally, the home has a 'levels' concept in the living and some of the room flloors that are a real hazard as I found out stepping into a 'hole' and falling late in the evening the first night. The furniture was pushed out to the edge of one of the ''holes' (levels')- essentially a hole in the floor 8-12" deep in front of the fireplace etc. - it is not well marked, and I ended up with an 12 inch carpet burn on my forearm bad enough to scab over and hit my head on the chair adjacent. Frankly, if my wounds had been worse we'd be pursuing litigation. Very dangerous. Finally, upon checkout I received an email from the owner saying we had left the TVs on and hadn't 'stripped' the bedding from the beds as per the 'notes'. After all of this the deposit has also been withheld. SHOCKING!

Thank you for letting us stay in your home for our family get-together. It was great to find a beautiful place we could share. Our favorites: One son loved the spiral staircase, the spaciousness of the bedrooms, and also said the master bedroom lay-out was great. My husband loved the high ceilings and the feeling of openness. One granddaughter’s favorite was the pool table. A grandson loved the "rounded stairs with a hide-away at the top". Another loved the pool table and the theatre room. Another granddaughter loved the spiral stairs and a grandson opined that the spa was definitely the best. But the eldest grandson countered that the pool table was really the best! A young grandson loved the bean bag and the hot tub. The eldest granddaughter loved that – in spite of all the people – she could still find privacy. A daughter-in-law loved the windows and all the lights. And I fell in love with the large pantry! All that space!! Life will never be the same.

We’re a traveling 7v7 youth football team
From Hilo, HI of high school and intermediate student athletes. Our primary reason for travel is to take student athletes from home and bring them face to face with colleges, recruiters and other high school performing at a higher caliber academically and athletically than what most of our community youth are expose to and give them the opportunity to hear and see first hand what it takes to prepare for life beyond high school.
The amount of space and amenities within this home made it easy for the whole group to stay together and feel at home away from home. We were able to hold group meetings, cook and feed our entire group and the boys not feel displaced. Neighborhood and neighbor were also great and made us feel very welcome. It was truly a wonderful experience for our group and we appreciate the time we were given during our stay!

My friends and I have taken an annual snowboarding trip for the past 8 years, so we are no stranger to renting out large houses.
This house was well kept and in a good location, however the amount of instructional notes threatening back-charges and surveillance on the property was a little unsettling. It should be noted that the camera monitoring the rear entry also monitors the hot-tub area. While we were assured that this is not monitored unless there is a problem, it still felt like this was a bit of an invasion of privacy. It became a bigger issue when the motion detection light on the camera started activating every time someone moved in the hottub though. At one point a friend of mine threw a towel over the camera in an attempt to prevent the light from activating and shining in our eyes. This triggered an alarm with the security company (which we were not aware the camera was connected to) and a call from the owner asking what was going on. It was a little stressful to say the least.
There are also a lot of notes with instructions, some of which imply there will charges to the security deposit if they are not followed explicitly. All the cups are inventoried and the appropriate numbers listed in the cupboards. While some people may enjoy this level of instruction, our group found it a little over-bearing.
There was also a point at the end of the trip where there was apparently an issue with the security system. It was assumed that we had unplugged a component of it in the garage and were told we were going to be charged $200 if the device was not plugged back in and the security team had to make a house call. One of our party still at the house was fortunately able to document that the device was indeed still plugged in and that resolved the issue, however that was not something I wanted to have to worry about at the airport.
The host to her credit is very easy to contact and communicative, and the place is well kept and clean. The issues mentioned above resulted in a more stressful experience than I was hoping for though.
3 Stars.

The property was just as it was photographed and served the purpose of us getting to and from the ski hills quickly. It was a sufficient number of rooms for our party and great to have a large hot tub after a long day of being on the ski hills. On the other hand, I really feel like previous guests. must have been so disrespectful to this home. The owners checked in on us a few times about closing the hot tub lid after a few minutes and about grilling outside the garage. There are notes and cameras everywhere to ensure people follow the rules and it was clear we were being monitored. Again, I think others ruined the homeowners peace of mind but hopefully our group brought back some of that for them. Finally, we are thankful they found and returned a bracelet one of us lost during our stay there, as well.

Annual ski vacation with family friends. We had 11 adults this year. Had hoped for 16, which we would comfortably have had room for. Especially nice ot have living spaces where we could all be together in the evening for games and sharing our ski stories from the day. Very convenient to Snowbird, Alta, and Solitude. Probably more places, but those are the slopes we enjoyed this year. Also convenient to airport, and grocery. Beautiful home to enjoy treasured time with family and friends.

Wonderful and comfortable house with plenty of space for our group of 16. Mary was very communicative about check-in and the oven being out of commission. Closest to Snowbird and Alta, but easy to get to the other ski resorts.

We stayed here 2 years ago and loved the house. The pool table, theater room, and the large dining table were perfect for our family. The projector wasn’t great 2 years ago, but it’s updated now and looks great. Mary was easy to communicate with.

The layout of this home was perfect for our large family celebration for Xmas. The teens loved the basement - theater room, pool table, bunk room and hot tube. We had 10 adults and 8 kids. The kitchen and dining area was great for eating, games, puzzles and art work from the kids. The house was decorated nicely for Xmas. Skiing was close. The owners were responsive and very easy to work with. We enjoyed our time with family and would recommend the property

This was a great place for our retreat. There was enough room for us and short drive from Provo. We especially love the theater room, we were able to do most of our trainings in there and used the backyard for our team activity. We also love how easy it was to communicate with Mary before, during, and after our retreat. She was the best host!

We enjoyed our stay but were a bit frustrated by all the rules. The backyard was lovely, it would have been nice to have a few lawn games provided for use by the family. Lots of extras in the pantry, thank you!!
