About this cottage rental
Cozy room, with full size bed, own entrance, private bath, mini fridge,
microwave. Room is a converted garage, attached to the house, but not accessable to main living area. addition space in backyard, patio with comphy seating. Home is close to I-5 freeway, Downtown Salem, Salem Fairgrounds. close access to restaurants, coffee, parks, Bush Park, Minto Brown Park, Water Front Park, shopping, State Capitol Bldg. Farmers Market on Saturday ,downtown thru October. Coffee House is 2 blocks away, walking distance. great coffee and morning treats!
Suite was remodeled in March of 2020, New bath, barn sliding door, new front french doors, flooring, new back door, ship lap on walls, new paint. New heat and air conditioning, guest have control of heat and air.
New pictures of the remodeled suite are coming!, super inviting, modern Farmhouse look.

The owner and her neighbors were pleasant. The room was perfect for the two of us. Bed was comfortable. Water bottles, snacks and wine cocktails were a nice touch. We enjoyed our stay.

I hope this lovely oasis will be available next time I visit Salem because I don't want to stay anywhere else. Carly has thought of every need and amenity. Her sweet dog, Max, even curled up at my feet while I was reading. Need I say more? Because I certainly could go on and on! Thank you for a wonderfully perfect stay!

Carly’s studio was perfect for my weekend in Salem! Studio is as advertised. Cozy bed and bedding! Although I didn’t get out back there is an adorable sitting area. Easy check in and check out. Great communication with Carly! Close to downtown.

Our visit to Oregon was to visit a couple of garden farms near Salem. This location was perfect for us. It was a cozy place to rest at the end of our day walking the gardens. We enjoyed coffee in the morning on the patio and a glass of wine in the evening,

Carly was awesome. She left a light on for me and helped with the lockbox. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, bright and cheerful. I loved the private patio. It was so inviting. And the special touches such as water, coffee's, body wash, face pads, flossers etc. were such a unexpected plus. And the street the house is on was so nice a quiet. I am planning to stay there again. This was a very relaxing visit on a short timeline. Thank you Carly. See you again soon.

Spent the weekend visiting my girlfriend. I booked this place because it was 2 minutes away from her place and in a great location.
The room had everything I needed - a small desk to work from (wifi included), a fridge to keep snacks and drinks in, a comfy bed, and adequate storage and hangers for my clothes. The size of the room was perfect for my one-person needs. A nice secluded deck area in the back as well for some reading in the sun. The bathroom was great as well with plenty of towels to use. Carly also provided some complimentary gifts that were thoughtful.
This is a perfect spot to use a home base; either as a solo traveler or a couple. It leaves you wanting to be out and about, but also a cozy place to return and sequester in. It is in a quiet part of town and there was nearly no outside noise to bother. Many shops and stores are within a few minutes of driving.
Carly is a wonderful host and I had the pleasure of running into her before I took off. Will definitely be booking in the future!

What a perfect little set up. Clean and comfortable. My wife and I went to the Oregon Duck game and wanted to do wine tasting the following day. This spot was perfect! Right in the middle of the Willamette Valley. Living in Texas now however this quaint VRBO is right in the neighborhood that I grew up in. It was nostalgic and beautiful!

This is what short-term rental should be! It’s a converted garage, and the host lives in the house. I had complete privacy in this charming space—the host must be a decorator! Every detail was thought out and provided for. It was immaculate, cozy, luxurious, and affordable. I’ll be back!

We enjoyed our time in Salem so much. The neighborhood is so cozy and beautiful. I would challenge you to find a spec of trash on the streets. Our VRBO host was great. The room appears to be a converted garage and it's attached to the main home. They did a beautiful job and are respectful of your privacy. There is a super cute private patio which we enjoyed. They also provide everything you can really need, including fresh water, cups, coffee, Mini fridge with creamer, and little snacks. It was impressive and much appreciated. We did encounter a rather large spider when we arrived. Being from Cali we were a bit spooked....which set the Halloween vibe 👻 but really this place was perfect for the two of us and close to town. Just what we needed and we had a wonderful trip. Thank you.

We completely enjoyed staying with Carly.
She was very helpful with suggestions on how to enjoy Salem, and we loved her sense of humor. The studio is a bit on the small side, but easily manageable and very clean.
We would definitely stay with her again.

One of the best Vrbo's we've ever stayed in. Super convenient to downtown Salem, easy check in, check out, and so many thoughtful little touches in the room from extra towels and blankets to snacks and coffee. Charming neighborhood. Beautiful patio with gorgeous plants and view. Nicely decorated and well organized for a small rental. Within walking distance of fairgrounds in a pretty neighborhood. Quick access to main roads. Excellent referrals to restaurants. We had a great stay and found Salem to be a nice city. Plenty of things to do!

I came to Salem from 2000+ miles away to move my daughter into college. I'm so glad I found this room. It's close enough to campus that I could easily and quickly drive back and forth.
This room was everything as advertised and even better. The feel is very welcoming and homey. The space isn't huge but big enough for one or two people for a few days. Another plus is the beautiful patio with lots of flowers and greens. The back yard is very pretty. If you forgot any toiletries, the bathroom is well stocked.
Carly is very accommodating and easy to work with. I will try to book here again when I come back to Salem.

Beautiful Bungalow
Let me start by saying that this is the best rental I’ve ever booked! The neighbourhood is beautiful and well kept and convenient to everything. Pictures are true to advertisements and the owner thought of everything! What a pleasure to sit out on the back porch during the evenings to enjoy the landscaping decor, peace and quiet, and light breeze with no bugs. I can’t speak enough of this stay. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for two days while touring wineries. What a charming place! The beautiful back patio was a favorite place to start and end our days. We’d definitely stay here again.

Great Little Place
Bright well kept place which appeared to be an unused extension of the house. Lots of minor but usefully amenities such as floss sticks, cotton balls, water bottles, etc.. Yard is gorgeous for an outdoor seat but mostly (and fairly) sectioned off for owner use. Instructions for check out are written and posted. Quite small but has want you need for a quick stay.
Some cons include that you cannot access the back yard if someone is using the bathroom. Bathroom also not "soundproof" for those who are not more intimate. Overall a great place

This cozy getaway is perfect in every way. Carly has not missed 1 detail, and has created a relaxing environment to stay. There was every amenity that we could.d ask for. There are also some incredible restaurants in the area. We highly recommend this vacation rental

The bed was comfy, my date was cute. The property owner was very communicative and helpful. Only thing I would change would be better access to water (the bathroom sink was the only option for refill, but we were given water bottles.)
