About this cottage rental
Redbud Cottage is a fully furnished non-smoking cabin, able to sleep six adults and set amid our 160 acre nature preserve near Arkansas' lower Buffalo River. Turkey, deer, rabbit, and an occasional fox are some of the common visitors to our land, and wildflowers and mature trees populate the rolling hills and deep hollers. We can be easily reached from major highways to the north or south, and many of the areas foremost attractions are nearby: America's first national river - the Buffalo River at Buffalo Point, Indian Rock House bluff shelter, and the historic mining town of Rush. The world- famous White River is about a half hour to the north, as are Bull Shoals and Norfork Lakes. Two towns famous for musical and recreational entertainment, Mountain View, Arkansas and Branson, Missouri, are a scenic one hour drive. And for those who only wish to relax and recharge amid the natural beauty of our Ozark hills and lovely Redbud Cottage, we offer a spacious screened deck, covered picnic area, outdoor fire pit, and complete privacy.
The cottage is well furnished, very private, and includes convenient outdoor outlets for overnight electric vehicle charging. We're in close proximity to the Buffalo River at Buffalo Point park and also the historic mining town of Rush, and access to Redbud Cottage is along our private and well-maintained one-mile gravel road. The cottage has two double beds in the lower level bedroom as well as a queen bed in the upper level loft. A futon couch in the living room folds out to a double bed, as needed. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, pots and pans, and cooking utensils of every kind. Both the stove and refrigerator are full size, there is also a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and the kitchen table seats six. Bed linens, towels, pillows and blankets are supplied. The bath is a tub and shower combination. There is a charcoal grill in the yard, but please bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid. Enjoy our screened deck, covered picnic area, and outdoor fire pit and there is ample level parking for vehicles, canoes, and other outdoor gear. The cottage is air conditioned for your comfort, and gas heat assures comfort year round.

This was the second time we’ve stayed at Redbud, and it was wonderful. I love the remoteness and beauty of the whole Buffalo National River area.

We spent Christmas and it was a stress-free time. We enjoyed the Coziness of the cabin, the privacy, and yet a short drive thru the winding roads. We enjoyed a drive to Bull Shoals, a wonderful meal at the Gaston Restaurant. Steve was so inviting and made sure we had what we needed for our stay. I would recommend you to book a stay with Steve and his wife and enjoy nature at its best.

Owner was very helpful and super friendly. Everything was just as described. Very clean and had enough space for our 2 small families to be together.

This property is very private and nearby all the river points and not to far from town. The owners are very hospitable and friendly . The canin its self came with a lot of amenities and thoughtfulness of the family . Such as games, a fire pit, and outside lights . 10/10 experience. We all agree for the price it was well worth it . Thank you owners for all your kindness and hospitality!

Great place to stay with kids! Cozy house. Near the house, there is a lot of free space where children can play games. It's easy to get to. Very close to Buffalo River, and shops. We really enjoyed walking at night and admiring the night starry sky! Quiet, calm, and safe. Friendly and attentive hosts. We highly recommend it! Hope that we can go back sometime.

Beautiful cabin with everything you could possibly need!

The cabin and surrounding property were an excellent choice for what we were looking for, which was peace and quiet. It was very enjoyable to watch the deer walk into the yard and to sit at the fire and view the beautiful stars. The only noises we heard while sitting on the screened in deck were the acorns dropping from the trees and an occasional bird chirping. Our host, Steve, visited and offered to help in any way he could. He helped us obtain a fishing guide when we were unable to use our phones. Our guide, Willard, was just awesome! Steve is a very friendly person with so much knowledge of the area. This piece of paradise is perfect for those who want to stay in a beautiful, clean cabin with everything you need, as well as the peace and quiet you may be looking for. We can't rave about it enough!

Easy process and check in was great. The cabin was clean and accommodating.

My two best friends and I had the most wonderful time at this cabin. We all left wanting to come back and bring our families. The cabin was remote and so peaceful which was EXACTLY what we were looking for. We all had great cell phone reception as well. The drive to the cabin was lovely!!! We had privacy, yet we were in close proximity to Yellville where groceries and other necessary items could be obtained at the local Harp's (if from out of town, consider stopping here to stock up).
We enjoyed exploring Rush and hiking the Clabber Creek Trail (a must see). We also visited the Buffalo River Point Overlook Trail (gorgeous views).
The cozy, vintage feel of the cabin is very inviting. We enjoyed coffee on the screened in porch and visiting around the outdoor fire pit.
The owners were incredibly helpful and easily accessible by phone call, text, or email. I would say they had the best communication of anywhere I have ever stayed. We were very pleased to get to meet them.
If you are looking for a laid back weekend with beautiful scenery and privacy, THIS IS THE PERFECT PLACE!!!!

If you are looking for a quite rural getaway you found it.

If you are looking for a place that is quiet, beautiful and restorative, then this is it. The cabin and property has everything you could possibly need for a stay of a couple of days (like us) or an extended stay of several days or more. Nestled deep into the property you are rewarded with the solitude this location Gove you. We brought food but did make a run into Yellville13 miles away once to pick up some additional provisions. The location is ideal for any number of outdoor activities: hiking, floating, or kayaking. Take your time and enjoy this place.
The accommodations are quaint, and fastidiously attended too. If you are seeking a resort like experience, this may not be the place for you. However, if you are wanting a place to smooth out the rough edges of your daily routine, then this place is for you. When you walk up the ramp and through the clean and open screened-in porch a door leads you inside and you are met with an open and good-sized kitchen with dining table and chairs. Plenty of elbow room. A bathroom is centrally located on the main floor is clean and efficient. A nice-sized living room with television. There is even a small reading nook. Off the living area is a bedroom with two double beds. Up the stairs is a vaulted ceiling loft with a double bed. I knew this was my kind of place when I saw a copy of “A Brave New World” sitting on a shelf.
Outside there is a covered picnic table and kettle grill with everything you need except charcoal. Bring some and use the handy charcoal chimney. Across the way you’ll find a large metal fire pit. If you think about it, it’s kind of perfect.
I can’t say enough about Steve, the property owner. We met him shortly after we arrived and he was just a really cool person to meet. He was genuinely glad that we were there and was a gracious and informative host. We are already planning to return in the spring when the dogwoods look like snow. I can only imagine what this place would look like when the leaves turn in the fall.
This is the perfect getaway for a couple or couple of couples. Thanks Steve! Looking forward to visiting you again.

Adorable cabin secluded in the woods. Private, peaceful, and perfect. Clean and had everything you need to just get away and relax. Very close to Buffalo River floating. Nice owners responded quickly if needed but also left you alone to enjoy your stay. Had an amazing stay!

We really enjoyed our stay in the woods. It is remote, so make sure to bring the supplies you need. The host Steve came to greet us and told us about the property and directed us to some fun outings. The area is beautiful.

The cabin is very secluded and set up with a grill and campfire spot. It is close to the river and we loved staying there! Very nice cabin and Steven was friendly and ready to be of assistance if needed. Would love to go back again!

This place is amazing! It is nestled in the trees on 160 acres. All you hear are the soft sounds of the forest. My favorite part is the absence of outdoor security lights, allowing an unobstructed view of the night sky. The cabin was clean and comfortable. My goal is to come back in the fall or early spring to enjoy that screened in porch and outdoor firepit a bit more.

First off the price is amazing, then the road to the cabin was awesome, almost off-roading but not quite, then pulling up to the cabin, sure it’s older but it’s super clean, then open the door to be amazed at how well it’s kept, it’s set up great, everything you need even satelite tv for the kids. I highly recommend staying here, a short drive to the river, even shorter drive to the old abandoned town Rush, the owner Steven was great, thanks again, we’ll be back for sure!!!

Anniversary Getaway
We celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary in this peaceful mountain getaway. The cabin was just as described and the perfect weekend escape.
