A few happy nights in idyllic surrounds

Great cottage in the most beautiful spot. Quiet and lovely to be able to hear the surf and be visited by wildlife. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to return in the future.

Beautiful earthy cottage full of charm and tranquility. Bushland environment put us close to wildlife and birdlife, walking trails to beaches & lookouts. Not overlooking other houses or tourists, which was great. Beautiful views, had breakfast on the porch every morning, whilst admiring the bird life. Very well appointed accomodation, spa bath was a welcome pleasure for relaxation, the most comfortable, firm mattress i have ever slept on. A delight to be here, we will be returning.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lin Cottage, the view over the bay and the wildlife around while we sat on the deck and relaxed.

A delightfully cozy cottage overlooking Devlin inlet and nestled in beautiful gardens. All of the comforts provided. A spa, a fully contained kitchen in a clean, fresh and tastefully furnished home.
The owners were lovely and friendly and we had the utmost privacy to relax and recuperate from Melbourne.

The cottage itself was clean, tidy and had everything you'd require, like kitchen, small dining setting , comfortable lounge with TV. The bedroom had a combined spa and shower and separate toilet. The bird life and other wildlife was lovely.
The key to enter was in a secure box and I had trouble getting the key out, I was successful after my 6th attempt. There's no complimentary coffee, tea or sugar so make sure you purchase the shopping before you arrive. I wasn't impressed with a half used bottle of off curled milk left in the fridge. The bedroom had clean sheets but I would advise to bring your own pillows as their pillows were hard the lay on. We had booked for 7 nights however we left a day early due to the fact there was nothing to do there. There are 2 grocery shops to buy food and plenty of places to buy alcohol but no place to buy new clothes. The time we were there, it was cold, wet and strong winds so we had no place to buy jackets. If the weather is nice you can fish or go for walks, maybe even canoeing but that's about it . If you want a quiet place to holiday well Mallacoota is for you. Sadly our stay wasn't that entertaining but you could mainly blame it on the weather. Oh yes if you are looking for a Chinese restaurant, go to Lucy's, best Chinese ever.
Sadly our experience staying at Mallacoota wasn't our best time so we will not return.

Enjoyed the bush outlook & serenity along with comfortable, well-equipped accommodation. Sitting on the deck with birds coming to the birdbath close by was a highlight.

The cottage was quite dark but very comfortable. Not as private as we thought with public path and picnic area at the front but still loved the serenity and location. Owners were very friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay

Lovely property in a lovely part of the world. I have never slept so well in a bed that wasn’t my own…I think because the bedroom is so dark. The wildlife was really wonderful, lyrebirds and possums on the porch and dolphins showing off at the beaches nearby.
A lovely peaceful place for recharging the batteries.

Beautiful cottage and great location. We had a fantastic time. The place was neat and felt like our own little hideaway without being too far away from everything. Would certainly recommend staying here to anyone.

Fantastic hosts, location perfectly within a short stroll to the town & coffee.
We had koalas walking within a meter from where we stood, kangaroos and a goanna walking down the path.
Unit was so comfortable, we are very fussy with beds & lounges and these were the best we have ever had…. 🤙

With beach, walking tracks, shops and golf club all within walking distance, Lin Cottage is the perfect destination for a couple staying in Mallacoota. The cottage is well appointed with full kitchen, large fridge/freezer, great BBQ and even a spa bath. The deck is a perfect place for meals, morning yoga and watching the array of birds visiting the birdbath. Optionally, meals overlooking Mallacoota inlet with picnic table is just meters away. Lin Cottage is a private and quiet space for relaxing and soaking up the Mallacoota vibe with friendly, lovely hosts.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very relaxing vibe overall, and all amenities were useful, except we tried searching the town for an oyster opener but couldn't find any. Very nice and calm weekend experience and we loved the spa. Will definitely come back if we get the chance.

Short getaway
Just a short distance from town but quite secluded and private. A very comfortable stay and lovely, helpful hosts who checked in every now and then to make sure we had everything we needed. Mallacoota was a long drive for us but well worth it in the end. A beautiful, relaxing destination. We would certainly go back again.

Lin Cottage was an absolute dream!
We loved our stay at Lin Cottage. The cottage is so cute and in a great location. It was quiet and private exactly what we were looking for. Everything inside was well thought out by the owners, there is helpful instructions within the house, a display book with everything you need to know about Mallacoota, books to read and a fully equipped kitchen. Highly recommend this property, especially as a romantic getaway!
Be mindful that phone reception is low in the location, Telstra worked most of the time but Vodafone had zero reception. Also, the property is street number 8 however the cottage is at the back of the property, with a separate drive way off to the side. We arrived in the dark and were slight confused for a little while, but we found it in the end and all was good! :)
Thank you to the owners for our stay! We will be back!

Fantastic place and location.
We loved our stay at Lin Cottage. Such a beautiful quiet place. The fires have impacted parts of the town horribly but it was still a great place to stay, visit and give back to the businesses and community. Can't wait to return to see how the area recovers and more areas open up for us to explore further. Thanks so much for having us.

Great Location
Exactly as the images on the listing. In a great location with great access to the beach. A nice private position

Well equipped, clean, and great location.
The cottage is in a great spot, walking distance from the beach and town. Close to the lake and plenty of bushland about.
Lots of wildlife, particularly good bird life around the house.
Kitchen is well equipped, even the knives are sharp.
Reasonably quiet, depending on who is staying next door at the Lin House. We had to deal with a little bit of noisy kid, family stuff, going on but really pretty peaceful overall.
Comfy bed and good shower.
Would stay again.
