We arrived as a family of seven. Four adults and three young children. Cabin is very clean inside, with all the standard appliances required for daily living. Dishes, laundry, pots and pans, tvs and games!! etc. We were very comfortable as cabins go. Plenty of comfortable beds and storage. Generally a very pleasant stay. And would certainly rent again. Pricing was even fair. And fenced in for pets!
As constructive criticism may go, there could certainly be some minor improvements made. Dock has lost some flotation and isn’t as safe as it should be. Parts of ramp is unstable. The deck that wraps completely around house, has wear that is very visible. Certainly not barefoot friendly. Lots of nails popping out, and wood is showing some rot issues in various areas. It just needs nails fixed and resurface applied. To be safer to use. And the lake is down a fairly steep incline. Ok for most, but not so much for elderly. So beware of that, if you have personal mobility issues.
All and all we are very happy with the stay. And would rent again. So not trying to sound disappointed. Great family fun no doubt.

The log cabin is gorgeous (outside and inside.) It has a breathtaking view of trees and a beautiful lake view. The wildlife was spectacular, singing birds, squirrels and wild deer. The cabin inside is beautifully decorated to match the warmth of the wood interior and fabulous stone fireplace. The amenities were more than expected, they had everything you would need or want and much more. Our trips to Jefferson were fun and the food was great. Overall, we had a wonderful time and our hosts were very gracious. Super summer trip. Thank you!

We were visiting family for a funeral. This property provided a very nice tranquil setting to retreat to at the end of the day. The house has an abundance of natural light and beautiful scenery through every window. Plenty of seating on the full wrap around porch. Just wish we had time to enjoy all the amenities offered.
The stairs are a bit steep and bathrooms a bit small. Other than that, loved the house and really enjoyed our stay.

Such a beautiful cabin right on the lake. We all enjoyed ourselves very much. The cabin was neat and tidy. The upstairs room is a bit warmer than the downstairs but that is to be expected.

Absolutely amazing! Shannon thought of everything. We came for our 4th anniversary - the only goal was to find a place we could relax, hear nature, be in a quiet, wooded area, and be near water. This place checked all the boxes and then some. It was blissful to get out and fish, listen to birds, see lightening bugs, watch movies and even enjoy the rain while sitting on the covered patio. Our only complaint- we didn’t stay longer. Highly recommend!

We had made reservation last summer for this spring break. We looked forward to it having already stayed at the property. Unfortunately my father passed a couple of weeks prior. My father-in-law and uncle also passed the month prior. This property gave a little bit to each of us in our family. For me, it was the peacefulness of the lake and allowed me to rest after an emotional quarter. My husband and son bonded over fishing at the dock. My teen daughter had time to catch up with her friends over the phone. My mom and brother came for a day and enjoyed their time as well. If you need a mental health break, this is definitely the house for you. We will be back again.

Very nice cabin. We enjoyed the quiet time with family. Puzzles were put to good use.

We enjoyed our weekend stay at this cabin. It is in a very quiet and secluded area by the lake. The cabin had just enough space for us and was a nice place to return to after shopping and eating in downtown Jefferson.

We had a wonderful time despite the rain on our recent trip to Jefferson for Mardi Gras. This property has everything, including beautiful lake views, a great deck, and comfortable furnishings inside and out. A few details are lacking from the description and photos, and could be important to potential visitors: The stairs to one of the bed/bathrooms are extremely steep and probably not suitable for some older persons. Also, while the large yard is wonderful, the fence (though backed with wire fencing) won't contain ambitious smaller dogs. Our 16# shih tsu mix was able to go through without difficulty. If these things are not issues for you, you will love this place, any time of year.

Was very impressed with the house and all its comforts. Thank you for the extra propane bottles, they really came in handy in the evenings. Great location and beautiful scenery! Highly recommend to anyone, this is the place to stay if you want on the water. We had a great time, thanks again!

This is our second trip to the cabin and we absolutely love it there. We day tripped to Jefferson, enjoyed BBQing, and just let our dogs enjoy the yard which they think is their personal dog park. The cabin is so much fun that we sit on the deck and porch and enjoy nature and skip the TV. Love the cabin and our host is amazing. We would definitely love to come back.

Perfect size for a family of 4-6. The cabin is fully stocked and clean, and the property is well kept. The beds are comfy and the ac was cold during our July stay. We didn’t use the “garage/movie room” but went in and looked at it and it was nice. Garage has a big projector screen complete with plenty of movies and a dart board and a couple of bunk beds if someone wants to crash. There’s a marina with a boat ramp maybe a half mile down the road if you need to launch a boat or grab some night crawlers or beer. Jefferson Tx is 15 minutes away, and lake Caddo is about 30 minutes away. Both beautiful places to look at while your here. My family had a great time and would definitely come back. Thanks for letting us stay!

Unfortunately we had a bad storm come though both of our areas and we were unable to go. Shannon was so kind to give us the option to cancel. This would have been our second stay at this property. Some friends and I are booked in October for a girls trip. We are so looking forward to it. I highly recommend this property and this fabulous host!

This is the best place we have ever stayed!! So comfortable, and peaceful!! The fenced in yard for out border collie and the kids was an awesome treat!! My husband loved he didn’t have to launch the boat everyday but could just pull up to the dock! The grandsons and their cousins fished and swam off the dock ; and we fed the duck !! My grandson cried when he had to leave because he said he was having so much fun ; it was so peaceful to drink my coffee off the deck gazing out to the dock and water and one morning went down and drank it off the dock swinging my feet over the water. We had a storm blow up on Saturday but it went away just in time for us to fry our fish and eat outside in the coolness … wish we could have stayed longer .. but we will definitely be back …. Great fishing in this lake !

This is our second time here and it hasn’t disappointed us yet. Came here to fish and hangout with my family. The wrap around porch is great. Kids loved playing around the house, the swing set, CLIMBING ROPE and spacious yard. We brought our dog last time but not this time. We regret that we didn’t bring her….the fenced in lot is a plus for your dogs. The dock was fun… my family loves to fish (3 daughters (8-15) and it was room enough for everyone to cast. It did storm and power went out but what can you do about Mother Nature. Luckily we just got done cooking. Wifi and tv were very spotty. So if you plan on being on devices … good luck, it’ll work but not so well… all in all this is one of our favorite spots to come to. Oh and it’s pretty private… I like that I have enough separation from other neighbors and such.

This is such a lovely home on beautiful property. Even though we could see neighboring houses we felt very secluded which is what we were looking for. Will be renting again if they’ll have us!

This lakeside haven serves as a nice family stay for nearby college events. Lots of space, lovely water views and nature, great outdoor area for grilling and spending time with loved ones. Everything you need for making a meal, keeping up with laundry, and managing your stay. We had a great time catching fish too. We also loved the friendly kitty that visited throughout our stay, nicknamed somehow Mr. Pancakes.

And the cottage was nice and rustic in such a beautiful nature setting. We met up with family nearby and they came by to visit briefly and we’re taken with the charm of the place.
