Durmast House is a handsome property reached at the end of the drive. The house is set in 4 acres of garden designed by the famous Edwardian designer Gertrude Jekyll and which is listed in the Hampshire Register of Historic Gardens. Guests are welcome to wander around the garden. This comfortable flat has accommodation on two levels and is a generous size. From the entrance hall is a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast table and four chairs. On the first floor there is a large sitting room with a three piece suite and a more formal area. Adjacent is the bedroom with double bed and fitted wardrobes with an en suite bathroom. There are lovely views of the garden from these rooms

Absolutely wonderful! Property delightful and the owners very gracious and welcoming. Beautiful gardens and ideal if taking your pooch🐶. Great location for the new forest and beaches. Will most definitely go back in late spring

Despite the horrendous rain we had a lovely time. I can see the garden will be beautiful in a few month - it was just starting to bud while we were there. The short walk to the pub was enjoyable (bring a torch), and Burley village is very friendly.

A very nice apartment. The wing of an 18th century Manor house with a beautiful garden. Large and comfortable. Very quiet location but convenient for new forest sights and coast. Everything provided but shower gel, salt, pepper and cooking oil would have been welcome.

We stayed here for 5 nights over the Christmas period including Christmas Day. We were very pleased with the accommodation - very spacious, quiet and lovely and warm! The host, Philip, was very friendly but not intrusive in any way. The location is perfect for exploring the villages in the forest and for forest walks. Parking is right outside the door so very easy to unload the luggage. We hope to revisit at some point as we had a great time. Thank you, Philip.

We spent a lovely 10 nights at the flat listed. Beautiful location exactly as listed. Hosts were living downstairs and always available if we needed anything.

hold a mysterious quality.
The flat was elegant and cleaned to a high standard.
I had the best nights sleep ever on a super comfy bed.
The bathroom is delightful and I much enjoyed my bathe.
We really enjoyed our walks and the local pub in walking distance from the property at Burley. It is easily accessible to the New forest.
I would highly recommend.

it would have been nice if there was more information about places to visit good restaurants and pubs in the area that allow dogs and not just a list of dos and donts.
also there is a dressing table but NO plug socket so i was unable to do my hair.

My wife and I stayed here 2019. Pre covid, we managed to get back this year. Truly a home from home! In fact, better, our garden is not a patch on this one! Great location, great accommodation, great hosts. We will be back!

Beautiful location, so near New Forrest walking paths. The apparent is cosy and very inviting, the owner who lives on site couldn’t be more helpful. The gardens around the house are beautiful and so peaceful, we will definitely go back

I thoroughly recommend this very comfortable apartment within a beautiful setting. The garden was magnificent and tranquil, and the hosts very helpful and friendly. Also very accommodating to my two dogs. I will definitely return.

Wow ! 😊 Durmast House is the perfect location for a stay in the New forest. The apartment itself was lovely and we especially enjoyed the luxurious bathroom and the lovely large roll top bath. The gardens are beautiful even in February and we hope to return for a follow up stay later in the year.

This is a very comfortable warm cosy apartment set in an amazing property and gardens of Durmast House , the host Philip and Margaret could not of been more welcoming and helpful.
A lovely large very well equipped kitchen on the ground floor then upstairs to living room bedroom and bathroom, all very light and airy with amazing views of the fabulous garden .. of which we were welcome to explore . . We wanted for nothing !

The property was excellent, reception room upstairs, one bedroom with, large bathroom with bath and walk in shower, dinning room and kitchen downstairs. Outside has beautiful gardens and the host’s were very good and their dogs were lovely. Location was great, lots of walks in the new forest and a short distance to Burley village. I would highly recommend

Had a wonderful stay at Burley. Apartment was really comfortable with everything you need for your stay. Owners are really friendly and made us feel really welcome and were always around if needed. Fantastic base in New Forest with horses etc all around.

Top quality. Very clean and comfortable and convenient for walks. No need to take the car if you are wanting to walk in the Forest. Very helpful hosts sharing their amazing garden with us.

This is a beautiful flat within a very lovely house and stunning garden, which you are very welcome to explore. Garden lovers will be in seventh heaven.The flat is warm, spacious and had everything we needed. It was well equipped and lovely and clean. It has some beautiful period features, especially the bathroom, which has a wonderful roll-top bath and lovely vintage sink. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly to both us and our dog. It is in a great position - 2 minutes walk from a fantastic pub which served delicious food and close to the village with lots of amenities. We had a marvellous week and would gladly book again.
