About this apartment rental
This stylish holiday apartment is fabulously located - just off the seafront in central Eastbourne, close to the beach, pier and iconic bandstand, and just a few minutes walk from the theatres, restaurants, shops and train station.
Set within an imposing, Grade II listed Regency townhouse, this raised ground floor apartment retains the glorious high ceilings and sash windows, yet is contemporary in style.
An open plan living space is spacious and inviting. The kitchen is ultra modern with gloss cabinets, a ceramic hob, integrated oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. A separate utility cupboard houses a washer dryer.
The lounge area boasts a three-seater sofa and armchair in front of a wall-mounted flatscreen TV - perfect to unwind after a busy day exploring. The dining table is strategically placed next to the French doors, which open to your own private patio area - although you may wish to eat al fresco if the weather is kind.
The apartment has two bedrooms sleeping up to four. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and an ensuite shower room. The second bedroom is a twin and there is a family bathroom with huge bath and shower over.
WiFi is provided, plus all towels and linen (please bring your own beach / swimming towels), and in cooler months you'll appreciate the underfloor heating throughout. Parking is on street and we can provide permits for just £2 per day. While this is a ground floor apartment, please be aware that there are around five or six steps up to the front door.

Location very good, spoilt by being unable to get comfortable. Settee, chairs and beds, amongst the the most uncomfortable i have ever sat on. This on top of being unable to park outside anywhere near where we were staying for first 24 hours, even though i'd paid for it. Overall, never again.

My husband, toddler son, and I stayed at the 2-bedroom Gresham Flat for just under two weeks in the month of October 2022. The flat had the rooms, spaces, and amenities precisely as described in the listing and as represented in the photographs. I have used vacation rental services for years, and this flat had the best equipped kitchen by far. The availability and quality of cookware, utensils (both cooking and eating), kitchen tools, etc. were clearly thought through with comfort and ease of staying in mind. There was even a small set of plastic plates and cups, which were a welcomed addition for my toddler. In addition to the kitchen, small details all around the apartment (location/quality/comfort of lamps, chairs, beds, etc.) were clearly given much thought and all contributed to the overall experience. Upon arrival, a large and organized binder of information was available for the renter's reference - the scope and details of what was included were incredibly insightful and helpful (i.e. where is the nearest grocery, recommended restaurants, medical care facilities, etc.). Talk about setting up renters to have the best experience possible. The property managers of the flat were exceptionally responsive and clear in their responses to me before and during our stay, which further contributed to our family's comfort. We would come back again, no doubt, and my husband made it a point to mention that we should try to get this specific flat again if we ever return.

Good location for town and beach but the lack of privacy at the rear of the apartment was a problem. This could be solved by blinds which would prevent the people in the hotel at the back seeing in at night. The kitchen was great but there were a few cleanliness issues which could have been solved by a more thorough vacuuming. Although there were some issues we enjoyed our stay in Eastbourne.

Simply ideal
The flat is superbly appointed to a high standard and included everything we needed; the patio is a lovely area to relax and a real bonus whether having breakfast or after the beach. It was ideally situated for us, both near the town and the beach.
