Lovely weekend away

Lovely small property, quiet area and close to the beach. Lovely for a weekend stay with the family and our dog loved the garden.

Perfect back garden and deck for our dog. Great location. Short walk to the bikeway/walkway to Pt Elliot.

Ok but a little effort could have made it amazing

I liked the pet friendliness and the overall size of the property

The BBQ was a fire hazard and it needed to be replaced. The overall cleaniness could be improved. The shrubs at the front of the property were so overgrown we were unable to utilise the double carport.

A great location,great back garden area,good bathroom,kitchen area good

Ceiling light in main bedroom didn’t work.Living room light too dim to read by so used a torch.windows didn’t lock.TV came on by itself in middle of the night.Had trouble with front door key not working but we fixed it.One cupboard door was damaged in kitchen.Some blinds didn’t work properly.Quilt covers and mattress protectors didn’t appear clean.(marks on bunk quilt)

Our stay.

The open space, the yard, the rooms and the amenities were great. Functional and perfect for our small family. The shower was amazing and a great temperature and flow. The location was beautiful and amazing and the home is taken care of well externally and its very cute and amazing.

It wasn't as clean as I was expecting or organised so I took it upon myself to clear out the cutlery drawer of dirt and grime, tidy up the cupboards and organise it a bit better and also clean neglected areas like surfaces i.e cupboards, under the couch, under the beds and the mirrors etc. Would have been great to utilise more fire wood especially in the cold, the cupboards and su h are peeling and also crooked so its slightly difficult to access. Otherwise a great stay.

Shocked on arrival as it was not as we expected when compared to other places we have stayed

The fire was nice

We had to clean the house on arrival, had to clean all the cutlery, glasses and dishes. We felt the linen needed a wash, the linen for the outdoor bed was not available. The provisions were quite poor from the quantity and size of cups to only enough cutlery for 5 at a time...just felt the entire house was under provisioned...we went out and purchased new glasses (left them behind), a lighter to light the fire, tupperware storage, mosquito coils (left them behind), gave the entire house a thorough clean and the outdoor couch is due for replacement I would suggest.

Bad

First I had to chase my deposit for 3 days with numerous call and promises of call backs, then being told it take 14 days!!!. Finally got hold of owner who accused our dog of chewing a coffee table, which was impossible given the damage and the breed, to then being told it was friends of the hosts dog. Then chasing payment yet again to be told it take 4 to 5 days to return deposit in a credit card. Add to this there was no outside mattress as advertised and the hot tap to outdoor shower is broken. This is not how you treat guests who've paid their money and deposit well ahead of booking and left the property in good condition. What a wrought.
