an absolute gem to stay here, secluded and quiet yet close enough to all the necessities such as get shucked oysters, the local pub and winery, and the general store accompanied with a kitchen well appointed enough to cook in daily (and i'm a bit fussy with that) but suggest you do a shop before arriving on the ferry as there's not a lot available at nights

A great, tranquil location with superb sea views, and we were blessed with a beautiful sunset on both of our nights.
The raven that woke me up early both mornings with its tapping on the windows! ;-)

Was in a nice location. Was in our budget.
Nowhere to hang my dresses - no coat hangers in the property at all.

Wood burning stove and plenty of wood
Location, views
Sounds insulation between rooms not great, including between bedrooms and bathroom
WiFi access would be ideal

The serinity, views and shower
Fireplace air inlet broken so by early morning the house was cold as.
Had to go online to work out how to use bedroom heater. We only got that working second night.

The ‘shack’ was gorgeous in a great location; had all the amenities with beautiful views straight onto Little Taylor Bay; we had read the visitor book so knew to expect the 8AM window tap from crow & were delighted by our morning possum visit - the shack had a ‘time stand still’ type quality - stop & enjoy
We love a real fire but found lighting damp kindling & damp wood a smoky challenge - maybe supply some fire starters or tell people to bring them.

We loved staying at this quirky round house! It appealed on the website, and did not disappoint, as the location and views of the harbour were fabulous. We enjoyed the tranquility of sitting on the deck watching the water, as the tide rolled out and revealed amazing sandbanks to walk on. Inside, the living area provided a wonderful sunny, warm space to relax in, and the water view from the bedroom was delightful.
Perhaps some steps from the deck to the grass would make access easier, and safer.

Waking up to the stunning view of Taylor’s Bay was like nothing else! Those big beautiful large glass panels around the cottage gave perfect unobstructed water views, and the deck was very much utilised for morning coffee, cheese boards, wine and oysters galore!
The property felt nice and private, couldn’t see the neighbours at all!
Plenty of space, the main bedroom was huge, the kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils needed, and it was very useful having a washer/dryer in the bathroom. Couldn’t fault it… was a top location… half way between the neck and the light house, close to the pub, and was pretty much a central point to all the places we wanted to go. Had some little wildlife friends visit in the evening!!! Wish we had stayed longer! Thank you for having us!!

The property was charming with fabulous views to the north and west, a brilliant bay stony beach and sunsets were amazing.

The location was very quiet and peaceful, with lots of wildlife to observe. There was everything you required while on holidays, even an iron. Having a fire was great as the weather was cool. We enjoyed the surroundings of the cottage with lots of trees and views. Nice spot for bird watching. Should've brought the binoculars.
The price was a little expensive compared to other Bruny Island houses.
The rooms were a good size. The doors leading out to the front deck could have been more secure. There wasnt a step off the deck.

Lovely location and house.
House was a bit "worn" in one small place - door handle on the door to the back patio was broken and the door does not close squarely. Bathroom could do with some heating (perhaps ceiling heat lamps) as bathroom was freezing and located too far from the house heaters to gain any heat.

Views from the cottage. Kitchen facilities.
Bruny Island itself is beautiful & worth the visit.
The house was absolutely freezing when we arrived. It took 4-5 hours to warm it (& us) up after lighting the fire.
There was a breeze coming through the 2 doors at the front, as they don't shut properly, and therefore they don't seal. You also have to force them to get them open.
Muddy driveway, which is difficult when unloading car.

A very comfortable, well appointed cottage in a stunning location. Warm as toast inside with the fireplace complimented with the modern kitchen. The deck overlooks the bay which was great at sunset.
