About this cabin rental
Welcome to The Round House at Indian Cove! The Round House offers the convenience of location paired with the experience of a secluded tree house-like mountain retreat.
The 1,600 sq. ft. dodecagon frontier inspired cabin and the 8 acre wooded camp is yours to enjoy during your stay. The cabin includes all of the modern amenities you could ask for other than a dishwasher, but don't let that hold you back from that one-of-a-kind blue ridge experience! Plus, you can bring your dogs with you!
THE CABIN
Step back in time to when the Cherokee roamed Appalachia. Upon arrival, you pull into a towering canopy of oak and maple trees and onto a winding driveway. Follow the "To House" sign over the wooden bridge and up to the cabin which is perched overlooking the property. At the top there is parking for two vehicles.
Although the dwelling is not built with the traditional river cane, plaster, and thatched roof, it will transport you decades into the past, and it's in that moment that you realize you've made the right decision to stay in some place special...
You've traded in new and cookie-cutter resorts for a unique experience, perfect for a couple getaway or a group of friends.
The upper level has two bedrooms, full bathroom, kitchen (with modern appliances), a cozy living room with wood-burning fireplace, and our favorite area of the cabin – the wraparound deck – which is equipped with Adirondack chairs and unspoiled views of the wooded wildlife sanctuary. You are encouraged to refill the bird feeder to catch glimpses of several birds species, our local family of blue jays and even white squirrels, stopping by for a snack in the morning and afternoon.
Head to lower level using the staircase located off the kitchen (use the rail!). At the foot of the stairs you're now in the "Secret Place". Formerly Chief Ralph's workshop, the work bench has been converted into a laptop bar. The noise of hammers and axes is now replaced with silence making for the perfect spot to relax in the rocker with a good book.
As you make your way further you'll find largest bedroom, The Sleepy Hollow Suite. It offers guests the largest bedroom on the property, featuring a queen-size bed, sitting area with a sleeper-sofa, and private half bath, along with access to the laundry room containing a full-sized washer and dryer. The primitive wood stove that once heated the area is now permanently retired for safety reasons. As you exit the double doors you'll be greeted by a porch swing, picnic area, and fresh mountain air.
Throughout the cabin, you will notice unique accents and stonework, all of which were designed and built by Chief Ralph. Stone steps, hand laid by him, lead you back up to rear entrance.
THE GROUNDS
The Round House is located on the north side of Hebron Mountain. The Mountain is historically significant. Legends handed down tell of a cave high on the mountain with awe-inspiring views that was used by the Cherokee Indians to hold their religious rites and ceremonies. Later, early road builder, Solomon Jones (1802-1899), raised his family and created one of the first tourist attractions in the area -- an observation tower -- atop Mt. Hebron. He surrounded the tower with fruit trees and a vineyard to provide refreshment for his guests. One visitor to the Solomon’s pleasure aerie was George Vanderbilt who, from that vantage point, first beheld Mount Pisgah. Vanderbilt found the great mountain irresistible and purchased more than 100,000 acres along its wooded slopes and built the famed Biltmore.
During your stay at The Round House you (and dogs) can explore the mountain side via the two walking trails (keep a lookout for the red and yellow arrows). The Red Trail begins near the back of the cabin and ends near the bottom of the driveway near the garden. The Yellow Trail begins near the entry of the property. It takes you across a small footbridge and ends at the large granite rocks where Willow Creek enters the property. For safety reasons we ask that you wear jeans or other pants while exploring and please keep children away from the locked green maintenance shed and the root cellar which is no longer usable.
Before the end of your stay, be sure to leave us a message in the "Be Happy" journal. We'd love to hear from you!

We came up from the Dallas Texas area to spend some time with our two sons that live in the area of this Great Cabin. Most the time when you use a regular hotel for vacation you have to spend like all your time away from the hotel in order to enjoy your vacation, staying in this Great Cabin we never had to leave the cabin at all. In fact from the time we arrived till it was time to go our vehicle never moved an inch. This Great Cabin is the vacation, just add people. The views are priceless, the sounds of nature are like a relaxing concert of peace, the smells of the woods set your senses into a relaxed state. We loved our stay and hated leaving, that never happens staying in a hotel. Try a night or two and you will find all i say is true.

No views, musky smell inside, the trails that were described, were a joke and dangerous, the tv reception was awful and very aggravating. Stairs leading down to washer and dryer are too steep for an elderly person. Will not be going back.

This was such a cute, cozy cabin. We had a great time and it was so nice to sit out on the porch. I feel like the owners did a great job making everything super cozy, especially by providing firewood for the fireplace. Would definitely recommend, it was great for my small group of friends.

Vrbo is so easy to use. Even if I book a place and cancel within their guidelines, it is easy to do.

Unique, cozy cabin
Loved our stay! The cabin is small and is nothing fancy but offers comfy beds and plenty of room for a family of 4 with two teens. Everyone had their own bedroom. Living space (living room/dining room/kitchen) is open offering plenty of room to gather. Bathrooms are very small, especially the shower but functional. Loved using the downstairs as a 'master suite.' Private, wooded setting close to all the outdoor adventures and downtown Hendersonville. Enjoyed the deck each morning and evening. Driveway is quite steep. Not a problem in the spring/summer months but could be tricky in the snow. We hope to return.

Great location and peaceful setting
The Round House was perfect for us for a weekend trip to Hendersonville/Brevard. I very much enjoyed sitting out on the deck and watching the birds and enjoying the peacefulness.

The Round House
The house was older, everything looked original. Did have stainless appliances. The deck was in disrepair, rotted wood, nail coming out. The house smelled of mold when closed up, dehumidifier in basement,

Beautiful change of scenery
My family and I decided to visit the Hendersonville area to enjoy nature and visit some local breweries in town. The "Round House" was very comfortable for our group. It felt secluded and had some pretty trails along the property, but it was still convenient to town. We would definitely stay again!

Excellent Place to Get Away
The property was wonderful - clean and so many little touches that made our stay comfortable. Brad and Allison were wonderful to work with and gave us many good recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area. The place is in a beautiful setting - off a main road - but close to downtown Hendersonville and things to do in the area. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to get away from things and relax.

Excellent base camp
The Roundhouse was wonderful. It’s tucked away in the woods surrounded by nature. Very clean and we had everything we needed. We were able to cook all of our breakfast and a couple dinners. Brad and Allison were great hosts! Very responsive! Thank you so much for a great vacation!

Great getaway
Great cabin for a reasonable price. It was just me, my mountain bikes, and my pup but the cabin can certainly accommodate more. Clean home, great location for me, and property with short walking trail. Appreciated the Keurig machine and full set of K cups, especially after realizing I forgot to bring coffee. Will return!

Roundhouse = Mold n old n ugh 😩
The location for us was great but that was it. I spent way too much money for this dive. As soon as I walked into the house I smelled mold n mildew. The stink varied from room to room but my 40 years in residential remodeling is enough experience to make the call - mold.
I could not stay in our bedroom without the windows open. I even left a day early because I couldn’t sleep well.
To add to the outdated mold invested home, there is hardly any water pressure.
I sent a text to the owners, informing them of the problem but received no reply.
I would NEVER stay at this home again nor, could I recommend it. A motel 6 would be an upgrade.
I would like most of my money back on this bad purchase.

Love The Roundhouse
Beautiful property in the woods not far from Hendersonville. The home is really cool (it’s really round!!), well appointed (they have everything you might need), and has a fantastic deck for grilling and after-dinner drinks. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks to the owners for making their beautiful home available.

Our wonderful NC vacation
We had a great time at the cabin! It was very secluded and relaxing, but easy to get into downtown Hendersonville. We were there for 5 weeks, and I really felt at home and hated to leave! Our hosts were very accessible and friendly, with recommendations on restaurants, places to go, etc. It was a wonderful vacation!

The Rustic Round House
Pretty much as expected. Great Wi-Fi, easy access, all new appliances, quiet neighborhood (i.e. no neighbors). Great location for visiting the surrounding area: Asheville, Parkway, Hendersonville, Brevard, Saluda, hiking, etc. "Rustc" - no dish washer, no "cable" (internet streaming only), beds not very comfortable, furniture in living room could be more comfortable. No welcoming or info book.

Love The Round House!
This place is amazing! It is tucked away between Hendersonville and Brevard. The house is in such a beautiful setting with eight acres and a beautiful stream running through it in a clear field where you could sit out and get some sun. I had such a fun time being in the Treetops and having birds come to the feeders and then at night we had little flying squirrels that came up to visit the feeders. The house is in not only a great location but very historic and clean. I will definitely stay here again! And the owners were so easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Thumbs up for a wonderful wonderful place!

Wonderful 'Tree House'
Delightful rustic octagonal wooden house in the middle of the woods. So different/ perfect for a mountain getaway. Easy distance from many places to visit including Flat Rock, Triple Falls, Jump Off Rock, Tryon and of course Hendersonville which is only 7-10mins away ( perfect to stroll around and many restaurants). The house is at the top of a steep unpaved driveway - no problem for our SUV though. The house was cozy and had everything we needed. It was just my husband myself and our two dogs. Bathroom is small but everything works and is clean. So nice to sit and read in living room with the sun coming through the trees.
Would go back 😊

Great rustic cabin in the woods conveniently located to town, national forests and many attractions. Nothing fancy but very well equipped with everything you'll need to feel right at home and great deck up in the trees for relaxing after a day of hiking or sightseeing.

Cozy place to stay
The Round House is a unique and cozy place to stay. It offers enough room for 8 people to stay in 3 bedrooms, 1 of them with a sleeping couch. The location near pittoresque Henderson is very convenient to go to Hendersonville, Brevard, Asheville and Pisgah Forest.
