High-quality accommodation with well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, fast wifi, and friendly owner. Excellent location for exploring the area. Definitely recommended!

High quality accommodation in a small village situated close to the coast and local attractions like Minsmere RSBP reserve. Instructions on how to find the property were great (appreciated the addition of What Three Words for a precise location) and Mark the owner was friendly and fast for any queries. Was nice to arrive to a supply of tea, milk, excellent apple juice from the property and some chocolate bunnies to prolong the Easter celebrations.
Living area was large with plenty of seating. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook if you don't want to eat out. Reasonably fast wifi too if you have kids like mine that like to be online or if you need to work.
Upstairs bedrooms were very comfortable with nice bathrooms including a rain shower for those of us who are taller than average. We all slept very well.
A shame we only had 4 nights as we'd have happily stayed longer to explore the area, including going back to Aldeburgh for more of the tremendous fish and chips.
This is my second attempt to review but it was nice enough to deserve another positive review :)

A good base
A bit isolated but it suited well as our dog had space to exercise - property is up to date and comfortable

Fab location, great property
It’s really an amazing location in the middle of loads of lovely stuff. Right in the countryside - and you can cycle/run/walk to the beach off-road. Very special.
Accommodation very nice also - well equipped kitchen, great shower in the family bathroom and nice outside space.
Would definitely recommend.

Idyllic Retreat in Suffolk
Beautiful Barn conversion renevated to a high standard, in a stunning location. Plenty of outdoor space for kids, the Tennis court was a real bonus. Perfectly situated for exploring Aldeburgh, Snape Maltings & Thorpeness. Very friendly owners, we had a super meal at the local pub The Parrot. Hope to be back next year

Great location, well equipped and spacious property. The owners were very helpful too.
We liked the location as it was remote but within walking or biking distance of several places of interest. We found a great local pub which was just over a mile away, the Parrot. There’s a lock up for the bikes which was very useful. The place has 2 king size rooms one en suite and the shared bathroom is very spacious. The owners stopped by to check if we needed any help, warm and friendly people. Lovely log burner too. Would definitely recommend this place and we will return.

The perfect base for exploring the Suffolk coast and beyond in a week
We enjoyed are first time visit to Suffolk and the accommodation at East Barn was ideal for the four of us and a very large greyhound. We were comfortable and found everything we needed and appreciated the welcome basket on arrival. Just a couple of suggestions to consider:
>A larger TV would be easier for everyone to view from the generous seating area
>The mattress in the master bedroom needs to either be turned or replaced. Sadly very saggy
Day trips to Snape Maltings, Minsmere, Dunwich and Southwold were easily reached from Knodishall and the bike rides in Rendlesham Forest are fantastic. We had a very relaxing holiday enhanced by a week of exceptional sunshine in October. Suffolk is truly beautiful, people are warm and friendly and we look forward to making a return trip one day.

A very comfortable house that is ideal for family and grandparents.
A well appointed property that was spotlessly clean and tidy upon arrival. A thoughtful welcome pack. Located within reach of all the attractions of this part of the Suffolk coast.
Nice enclosed back yard area where little ones can play with minimal supervision.
Only downside - internet very slow.

We enjoyed 3 days at East Barn. It was very comfortable and well equipped. It was well located, close to Aldborough and Thorpeness. Highly recommended!
