About this villa rental
Calodyne villa is a cosy house built in a quiet residential area. It has a beautiful tropical garden planted with mango and coconut trees and its own private swimming pool.The villa is detached and has 2 double bed rooms on the first floor with both having access to a balcony from which one can enjoy a panoramic view of the Indian Ocean and the islands just off the main land. All 2 bedrooms have air conditioning. On the ground floor there is a good sized sitting room with a TV, DVD ,cable channels and a dining room with a round table which can sit 8. The kitchen is fully equipped and guests also have access to a 50MBS optic fiber broadband connection free of charge. There are 2 WC,s ,1 upstairs and 1 downstairs and one bathroom. A maid is at your service daily for one hour except on sundays . The centre of Calodyne Village is only 900 metres away and there is a small supermarket named Inter Mart. There is also a fruit and vegetable shop as well a a butcher's shop, a pharmacy , 2 restaurants and 2 street food shacks.Grand Bay the main city in the north is a 10 mins drive by car .In Grand Baie there are 3 big malls with supermarkets,shops and restaurants .If you want to take the public transport the bus stop is near Intermart and buses run every 30 mins or so. The nearest place of worship is a Catholic church in Cap Malheureux famous for its red roof

Amazing, so pleased we chose Cosy villa. The villa was extremely comfortable, spacious and very well kitted out, with a lovely pool that was cleaned and maintained daily. Phillipe was the perfect host, so helpful and attentive . Nothing was too much trouble and we were well looked after, especially during the cyclone. Phillipe went above and beyond what we would expect of our host. We were a bit concerned that Callodyne would be too quiet but it was a lovely village with excellent facilities that met all our needs - great food outlets including a new Deli, dive shop, supermarket. Car is needed for short drive to p
Pereybere where there is a good public beach. We would say this is the best villa experience we have had and highly recommend to others.

Great to have a home from home stay. Philippe is a great host. He took us to the supermarket on our first day & drove us to some local beaches. Always on hand if needed. We enjoyed our stay. Swimming pool was welcome in the heat.

Philippe is such a great host. Upon arriving he drove us around the area showing us stores, bakeries, beaches, etc. We even stopped by a bakery for some treats. At the villa he took time to show us everything and was always available for questions and help. The villa is very spacious and comfortable. This visit it was only the two of us but we could have been very comfortable with 4 more people. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked and there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. The bedrooms were large and had lots of storage. We also appreciated and enjoyed that the balcony off the upstairs bedrooms. We loved the area and being only a couple of blocks from the beach. We spent a couple of days literally doing nothing but relaxing at the villa beside the pool. There is something special to having the entire property to ourselves! We enjoyed the tasty mangoes from the trees in the back as well as making tea out of the lemongrass planted just outside the kitchen. Philippe hires a cleaning person to come daily, even to do the dishes, which is a real treat! One day Philippe came but to tell us we had a flat tire and loaned us the tools to change it (since our rental was missing the tools) and offered to help. We have stayed in dozens of places all over the world and would say that Philippe is at the very top of the list in the best of hosts out there. Thank you, Philippe! We hope to be able to return one day.

The villa suited our needs and we enjoyed exploring the north of the island. It was essential to have a car, although we enjoyed walking a short way down to the shore to see the fishermen bring their boats in. We were in Mauritius at the hottest time of the year which made the pool a very welcome asset. Everything at the villa worked well, excellent WiFi , good aircon.

We really loved staying at this tranquil villa! The place has everything you need and the owner, Philippe, is a very friendly and helpful host. The bedrooms are a good size with both ceiling fans and air con (we didn't need the air con as our visit was in the Mauritian winter). The kitchen has everything you need in it, microwave, toaster, coffee maker etc. There is a lovely garden with a great little pool. As others have said, the location is a little out of the way so a hire car is recommended. There are two very good restaurants within walking distance: a pizza place and Linda's Place which has excellent Mauritian food. There is also a lovely little beach within walking distance. By car, you can get to Grand Baie, the wonderful Mon Choisy and Troy Aux biches, all within a few minutes drive. Philippe can also put you in touch with a good car hire place with very reasonable prices. We've just arrived home but are missing this place already. Special thanks to Philippe and of course, Mary the maid :-)

Our stay 2020
This is a lovely , clean property set in a pretty garden with a pool. You need a rental car as it is a bit isolated. The Daily maid MARIE is lovely and the owner Philipe cannot be faulted in his care of the guests and the property. He managed to get us scarce flights home after the Covid19 lockdown. We had a lovely 6 week stay and we hope to return. Thank you.

Villa typique située dans un endroit calme, a un peu plus d'une centaine de mètre de la mer.
Maison superbement bien entretenue par la sympathique Marie.
Equipement complet et en bon état.
Chambres et living spacieux, même si nous avons passé notre séjour principalement sous l agréable véranda.
La sympathie et l accueil de Philippe Lesage était au dessus de nos espérances. Petit bouquet de fleurs à notre arrivée ainsi qu'un repas et des boissons fraiches.
Toujours discret, aux petits soins pour la piscine et le jardin mais toujours là pour nous renseigner en cas de besoin.
Aimait de nous faire également découvrir les spécialités locales en provenance directe de son jardin.
Ce fut un séjour très agréable en plus d'une rencontre chaleureuse avec des personnes on ne peut plus sympathique.
Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

A lovely villa with a top host!
First of all I would 100% recommend the Calodyne Villa. It is a lovely holiday home with an adorable back yard with a pool and sun lounges and a lot of space for relaxing. We had a lovely lady come and keep the house nice and tidy for us. We are extremely glad to have stayed at this Villa. What made our experience even better was definitely our wonderful host Philippe. We could not have asked for a better host. He was always ready to help us with everything and solve any problems we ever had. He is very quick to respond to phone calls and messages. He makes sure that everything is okay with the guests. He even welcomed us with a lovely meal on our day of arrival. On top of everything we were lucky enough to be in Mauritius for the mango and avocado season and Philippe would always suprise us with fresh fruit straight from his garden. Thank you so much for everything! Overall our stay in the Villa exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for a relaxing stay in Mauritius you will definitely love Calodyne Villa.

Private,well equipped villa
Everything you need for a self catering holiday is provided. Philippe, the owner, goes over and above what is necessary to make sure that you enjoy the time in his villa. He lives next door and cleans the pool every morning and waters the garden every evening so is always at hand if needed. Very, clean and comfortable. Well recommended.

Magnifique location
Magnifique location, idéalement située près de notre site de kitesurf à Anse la Raie. La maison apporte toute les commodités nécessaires, le confort est parfait pour 6 personnes, la piscine et le jardin sont très agréables. Le ménage est réalisé tous les jours et Philippe nous apporte les précieux conseils de visite de l'ile et d'excursion ou encore de restaurants.

We were 2 adults and 1 child (5 years old) that spent 4 weeks in January in this lovely house.
The house is well equipped and has 3 large bedrooms with air conditioning with comfortable double beds.
The grounds were lovely with a large garden surrounded by hedges and garden walls which made it completely private.
The patio was spacious and beautiful with tables, chairs and sun loungers.
The pool was big, warm and absolutely beautiful with a nice shadow in the afternoon.
Philippe was an outstanding host and had good advice on what to know about this beautiful island. Philippe advised us about a car rental company we were very pleased with and private parking was just outside the door.
During these 4 weeks we explored the whole island by car and quickly found that we had chosen to live in the right place on the island with the finest beaches close by.
We had an absolutely wonderful holiday on Mauritius, much thanks to this fine house and lovely pool.
On the next trip to Mauritius, this property will be our absolute first choice.

3 wunderschöne Wochen
Wunderschöne 3 Wochen durften wir hier in Calodyne verbringen. Für Selbstversorger ist das Haus ideal. Die Küche ist sehr gut Küche. Ein Grill ist auf der Terasse. Der Supermarkt ist leicht zu erreichen. Ein Auto ist trotzdem gut, auch wenn regelmäßig Busse nahe am Haus halten.
Es ist sehr ruhig und abseits der Hauptstrasse. Gelegentlich hört man am frühen Abend Musik vom Hotel in der Nähe, was uns aber nicht störte.
Wir können das Haus sehr empfehlen, da es alles für einen schönen und privaten Aufenthalt bietet.

We had a great time here, Philippe is a very friendly and caring host, gives a lot of valuable guidance for the stay, including rental car reference, and excursions. The house is very well equiped, you will find everything you need, comfortable beds, terrace, balcony, aircon in the bedrooms, cleaning service daily, calm surrounding. Nicely positioned for excursions on the entire island and nice beaches and shops close by. We will come back here again :-)

We were the first Dutch people in the villa, the owner lives next to the home and speaks perfect English, is always available and ready to help a hand. He's friendly and sweet and made sure that we were comfortable. He also arranged a car for us and we had a perfect holiday :) thank you so much! Tolle Unterkunft, entspannter Urlaub
Wir haben auch unseren 6. Aufenthalt in diesem Haus in Calodyne sehr genossen. Mit unserem Mietauto konnten wir alles sehr schnell erreichen - die Strände in der Umgebung und die gut sortierten Geschäfte in Grand Baie. Für Selbstversorger ist das Haus hervorragend ausgestattet (Ofen, Grill etc.) und lässt wirklich keine Wünsche offen. Pool und Garten sind super gepflegt. Philipp, der Vermieter, kümmert sich um alles und ist sehr sehr hilfbereit. Wir lieben die ruhige Lage und die entspannte Zeit im Garten.

10 jours au Paradis !
Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances en famille avec nos 2 enfants grâce d'une part à la bienveillance de Philippe qui a été d'une extrême gentillesse tout au long de notre séjour et aussi par le fait que cette maison est tout simplement géniale ! grande, propre, agréable, rien ne manque, les lits sont confortable, il y a la clim et les ventilateurs pour ceux qui n'aiment pas la clim. Marie, très discrète et très gentille, vient faire le ménage tous les jours (sauf dimanche et JF)
Le jardin est exceptionnel : bien entretenu et quel plaisir et régal de pouvoir y manger les fruits comme mangues et noix de coco !
La piscine est très bien, bonne dimension et propre.
Au niveau localisation, la maison est bien située (non loin des plages, de Grand Baie et facile d'accès par la grande route pour se rendre dans le sud de l'ile).
Bref, à recommander les yeux fermés et nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Merci encore à toi Philippe, ce fut un réel plaisir de faire ta connaissance et nous n'oublierons pas ces moments de partage.

Très bonnes vacances
Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans la maison de Monsieur Lesage avec nos trois enfants de 7, 4 ans et 3 mois. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la piscine, impeccablement tenue, juste en face de la terrasse, le jardin rempli d'arbres fruitiers, la pièce de vie, aérée et spacieuse
Monsieur Lesage s'est montré très attentif au bien être de ses locataires et a fait en sorte que notre séjour se déroule à merveille.
Merci à Marie pour son sourire et sa gentillesse, son efficacité dans le rangement et le nettoyage de la maison.
Nous avons visité et apprécié le jardin botanique de pamplemousse, le Morne-Brabant, Chamarel, les plantations de thé, le musée du la canne et du sucre et le château de Labourdonnais et bien sûr les nombreuses plages où l'in peut installer sa serviette sans payer de transat et sans être continuellement sollicité: Flic en Flac, Wolmar, le Morne Brabant et bien d'autres...

The Villa was very good!! Me and my girlfriend (and since our stay she is my fiancee now) enjoyed everything!!! It was so nice to have a house with a pool and a very nice garden for us! Back again for the 5th time ...
Back again for the 5th time ... what does it mean? No, we are no relatives and it is not the only accomodation in Mauritius :-) Still we love this house and all the amenities in the peacefull surrounding and we enjoyed our stay as much as the last times. There is nothing you will miss if you like to have a cosy accomodation with selfcatering possibilities and if you have a car (you should have) it is a perfect location for nice daytrips to the beaches that are pretty near. Excellent!!!
We had an excellent 2 week stay in this beautiful villa! A perfect house for the 4 og us. Plenty of space and nice rooms. The children (9 and 11) loved the pool. Fantastic garden with fresh fruits on the trees. The house, pool and garden was kept nice, tidy and clean at all times. A quiet neighbourhood. A 10 minute walk to the local grocery store and only a short drive to most all attractions (shopping, beaches, activities and more) on the north side of the island. We would recommend renting a car when staying here. Makes getting around a lot easier but it is possible to make due without.
Thanks to Phillippe, the owner and excellent host, who was very helpful in every way possible! From simple questions to car rental reccomendations. Also thanks to Maria, the maid, for a luxury we are not accustomed to!

Superbe séjour à ne manquer
Nous avons séjourné 10 jours a calodyne avec notre fille d'un an. Cette villa est idéale pour des vacances reposantes et la piscine pour se détendre. M. Lesage a été de très bons conseils (bonnes adresses et visites) et nous a réservé le meilleur accueil. Marie la femme de ménage est une dame très charmante qui a même gardé notre fille durant un après midi où nous nous sommes échappés pour un moment de détente dans un spa à quelques kilomètres. Bref une location à ne pas manquer avec un propriétaire qui a su rendre notre séjour des plus agréables. Nous espérons revenir à calodyne villa au plus vite ! Merci encore à M. Lesage pour son accueil si chaleureux plein de petites attentions qui sont si agréables.

Très jolie propriété, agréable et soignée
Nous y avons séjourné 11 jours au complet et avons eu droit à un accueil très chaleureux. La maison est très agréable et le cite très calme avec une petite plage à proximité. Endroit très propre avec un entretien journalier très soigné, 6 jours sur 7 avec la possibilité de bénéficier d'un repas tout prêt typiquement Mauricien en rentrant de votre journée (contre paiement). Un beau jardin avec en saison les bananes et ou papayes directement de l'arbre ! Petite épicerie et boulangerie à proximité et également un super resto "Chez Linda". Pour vous déplacer dans les environs, la possibilité de prendre les bus, taxi ou pour les téméraires, louer une voiture (conduite à droite !). Il y a des plages magnifiques partout. On ne peut que vous recommander ce charmant petit endroit.

Clean and very well maintained.
The villa is in a quiet location and is very well equipped and well maintained .there is all you need including a Wifi and a friendly housemaid Marie. Very close to all facilities about 15 mins drive to Grand Bay with great shopping centre,restaurant etc. Their is also a supermarket within walking distance with a large choice of groceries and good wine from South Africa. The owner Phillipe is a friendly chap who will recommend you on places to visit and things to do. My husband and I would gladly recommend this villa
