About this apartment rental
Fantastic, top-floor, two-bedroom apartment in a beautiful, old building in the very, very heart of Dublin City. Dublin City is quite literally at your fingertips! This is the best located rental listing in Dublin - and that's no exaggeration.
________________________________________________________________________________
Top-floor, TWO-BEDROOM apartment in an Edwardian building right in the heart of Dublin city's old historic centre.
It has unique won't-find-anywhere-else views of Dublin Castle and City Hall, two of Dublin's most iconic historic landmarks. The building is on Dame Street in Dublin 2, and is just a couple of minutes (or less) walk from all of Dublin's historic, cultural, social and tourist attractions.
The apartment is full of history, tradition and character. It occupies the top floor of an old Edwardian building, located midway along Dame Street, which links Trinity College to Christ Church Cathedral.
As well as views over Dublin Castle and Dublin City Hall from the living room and one bedroom, the other bedroom looks west towards Christ Church Cathedral. Where else would you get it?
The apartment has been completely renovated in recent years (so has all the modern conveniences you could want, including fast WiFi internet connection, central heating, an electric shower and a fully-fitted kitchen), its original period features have been preserved (including solid oak wood flooring in the living room and bedrooms, granite stone flooring and a wonderful Belfast sink in the kitchen, and large sash windows in every room).
It has two bedrooms (one with a double bed, the other with two single beds), a decent-sized living room with a kitchen off and a bathroom.
Every room has large sash windows characteristic of the Edwardian era (early 1900s), so the apartment is full of natural light (if you're lucky, sunshine too!) from early in the morning until late in the evening.
Everything you might need (bed linen, towels and kitchen items) is provided, as well as a small library of books on Dublin. Free 30Mb Wifi.

The neighbourhood:
Have a glance at a map of Dublin and you'll see that Dame Street is right in the centre of everything that Dublin has to offer. Trinity College is at one end of Dame Street (3 minute walk from the apartment) and Christ Church Cathedral is at the other (2 minute walk in the other direction). On one side is Dublin Castle and City Hall, and on the other is Temple Bar.
All other notable parts of the city – such as Grafton Street area, St Stephens Green, Merrion Square, O'Connell Street – are within a 10-15 minute walk.
As well as being immersed in Dublin's history and culture, you're surrounded by the best cafes, restaurants, pubs and shopping in Dublin.

Getting around:
One of the things that previous guests have all remarked on is that they didn't need to use public transport at all - no buses, no trains, no taxis. Very genuinely, you can walk anywhere in the city centre within a matter of minutes. Dublin City is quite literally on your doorstep!
However, if you want to travel further afield, there are 3 taxi ranks on Dame Street itself (mere seconds away); there's a Dublin Bikes station across the street; dozens of bus routes within 50 metres; Jervis LUAS (tram) station is 5 minutes walk, and Stephen's Green LUAS (tram) station is 8 minutes walk; and Tara Street and Pearse Street DART (train) stations are both less than 10 minutes walk. If you're looking to travel out of Dublin, you can be in Connolly Station, Heuston Station or Busaras within 10-15 minutes. It's also a 2 minute walk from the Aircoach's Trinity College/College Green stop (Aircoach is an express airport-to-city bus service, which runs every 10 minutes and will get you to or from the airport in just 20 minutes).

Other things to note:
Standard check-in is at any arranged time between 3pm and 8pm. Because I can't personally do a check-in after 8pm, check-ins after 8pm are subject to a €50 fee to cover the cost of paying someone to meet you.
Standard check-out is before 10am on the day of departure.
If you're arriving into Dublin very early in the morning or departing late in the day, please consider the 3pm check-in time/10am check-out time before booking.
Unfortunately, there is no luggage storage facility in the building. For those who need to store luggage before check-in or after check-out, I recommend Tourist Office Dublin (almost directly opp. the Front Gate of Trinity College Dublin at 37 College Green, Dublin 2, which is a 2 minute walk from the apartment). They'll store luggage here in a secure lock-up for a small fee.
Please also consider that this apartment is in the very heart of Dublin City. Genuinely, its location can't be exaggerated - you won't find a better located rental listing in Dublin. There are hundreds of positives to this, but there a couple of negatives too: for one, there is no parking in the building (but if you're likely to need parking, let me know and I'll tell you the various options). Also, you have to expect that such a central location won't be exactly tranquil - there'll be the usual 'sounds of the city' and there's nothing anyone can do about it, I'm afraid! If this is likely to be an issue for you, let's talk about it before you book.

Fantastic location in Temple Bar with easy access to restaurants, attractions, and great communication with Garrett. Highly recommended for any length of stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Garrett's place for 3 nights! The apartment is in a fantastic location, right near the best restaurants in Temple Bar, and everything (including Grafton Street) is within walking distance. Check-in was super easy, communication with Garrett was great, and we had everything we needed during our stay. We'd highly recommend this location to anyone regardless of how long the stay - we hope to come back soon!

It was the perfect small apartment in the middle of everything. Good location. Just as advertised.

Right in city centre, walkable you everywhere we needed to be. Garrett communicated quickly and thoroughly

We stayed 3 days, which was a quick visit, but I promise this location was PERFECT! We walked just about everywhere and saw as much as we could in the allotted time. The neighborhood is a little loud, but that is to be expected in a city apartment. Would definitely stay again if we are in Dublin.

This flat was serviceable and we were comfortable. Good central location to lots of sites. Directly across the street from Dublin Castle. We were a bit surprised at how dingy the place was though, which does not come through in the adorable pictures. The wood floors very worn, the bedroom carpet is threadbare, and the kitchen counters are wood and have a sticky residue. That said, bathroom was clean and bedding was clean. We were comfortable enough but would likely look for a newer, nicer place next time.

Lovely apartment close to lots of dublins attractions

The location was excellent. Close to bars and restaurants and many major sites. Having the washer/dryer was very helpful. Plenty of room to spread out.

Flat is very small. Double bed was a fouton and killed my back. Also had to wait to get in because maids locked a lock they shouldn't have locked. Waited for over an hour in the hallway for owner to let us in. Couldn't ask for better location though.

This apartment was the perfect size & location for the two of us. It was well supplied, comfortable and provided good views from the 3rd floor. Had both lift or stairs options. Felt quite secure. Garrett and housekeeper were super accomodating.
Dublin is very walkable and this apt is centrally located. We walked a great deal of the city. Taxis and buses were easily accessible for the apt. Essentials and shopping were very close by as well as several good restaurants.
Note - this is in central Temple Bar and is "city-noisy" . We expected the urban hub-bub of the day and found it quieted down later in the evening.
We highly recommend staying here - especially if you enjoy the city life. Thanks for making our stay so comforable Garrett!

A tidy property that had what we needed. Excellent communications with Garrett. It’s in the midst of the Temple Bar area so many choices for food and drinks. One night we heard some rowdy folks out when the pubs closed but we closed the window the next night. Overall a good experience

We enjoyed our stay in Dublin. The accommodations were very centrally located. Our only real complaint was that there was no explanation for anything (what to do with the garbage, where to leave the keys, what color key opens which door, how to get hot water etc). Also it would be very nice to have some extra towels, and some light weight blankets. The beds only had heavy comforters that made for uncomfortable sleeping as the apartment was very warm.

Great location walking distance to Temple Bar and other attractions. Check in instructions were detailed and clear. For the size of the space, it was a costly rental. During our first day of the stay, we learned one of the beds is not in great shape. My Dad sat upon it and the mattress fell through the frame. Evidently, this happens often and the property assistant gives it a temporary fix instead of the owner replacing the broken frame. My Dad could have hurt himself when he sat upon the bed.

We had a wonderful time in Temple Bar! This place is very centrally located and easy to get to all of the main attractions of Dublin. It was quite noisy at night but that was to be expected the host was wonderful and we loved every minute!

This was a very nice apartment centrally located in Temple Bar. It was clean and comfortable. The windows in the living room and both bedrooms were large with great views of the street and the Parliament house. The couch did fold out into a bed.
Garrett was a great host with terrific communication. I highly recommend this apartment.

The apartment was in a great location for walking to Temple Bar, St. Stephan's Green, Trinity College and Grafton Street. It was great having a washer/dryer. The building felt very secure. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This apartment was in the perfect location. We could easily walk everywhere, catch transit or connect with tours. The two bedrooms were perfect for my family and it apartment was more than stocked with what we needed to make our stay perfect.
The street view from the apartment was wonderful. We loved watching people in the morning and late at night 😂.
Our host Garret was easy to communicate and very prompt and helpful when we had an issue, which was no fault of his own.
I would highly recommend this apartment and we can't wait to return and book again!

Cute little apartment in the best location. You can just about walk anywhere. Download Free Now app for taxi! The owners were quick to answer any questions we had. And a cute little shop downstairs

We really loved this perfect apartment right in the heart of Dublin’s city center. Check in was smooth and easy and, it couldn’t have been easier to walk to everything we wanted to see! We wouldn’t hesitate to book again on a future trip!

Great location - everything as advertised. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone who is visiting Dublin and wants to be close to all the sights of Dunlin
2.5
What a great apartment to stay in while visiting Dublin! Just a few seconds walking to Dublin Castle or Christ Cathedral. Trinity College and the Guinness Brewery both in very walkable distances. The apartment was well set-up to cook and do a light load of laundry. We very much enjoyed our stay here, especially the early morning view City Hall, directly across the street.
2.5
Garrett was in constant communication and very gracious. Yolanda checked us in, helped with our bags and showed us everything. Location couldn't be better for walking to everything in Dublin, the apartment was clean, lovely, and just as represented, nice kitchen and bath with everything necessary provided - a nice extra. It was indeed a loud neighborhood on weekend nights, but that was clearly stated in many reviews so we were prepared for that. We'd definitely stay again and highly recommend!!
2.5
Great little apartment in a fantastic neighborhood. Garrett and Naill were wonderful.
