Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting.
The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island.
Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.

It was a very nice room, clean and nice bedrooms. The wifi password did not work and they did not have basic cable sports channels, we had to use our computer to watch the game that night.

We loved the location, view of the water, and the beach was perfect. The condo was well equipped and had diffident room. As it was our 40th wedding anniversary, we enjoyed the privacy. We expected peace and solitude. Unfortunately what we got was construction going on from 0800 to 1800 hours everyday. We couldn’t sleep in or even stay in the condo during the day as there was loud hammering and sawing coming from the neighboring condo. It was so loud we could watch tv or even hold a conversation at times. This made the stay less than relaxing.

Great view out to the beach from this condo, but the interior does need a lot of work. Hopefully the owners will recognize that compared to others in the rental program, they need new furniture (sink holes where people have sat on the couch); carpeting needs to be replaced; Dining room needs a light over the table; kitchen is in sore need of an update to "everything" from appliances to supplies.

We were referred to this location by some friends that have stayed there a few years ago. We were surprised as we have lived here for 15 years and have never heard of it. Boy were we shocked! We had the best time!!! Talk about the best place to go and unwind. We didn't want to leave. Our family was there, so we had all we wanted. We cooked and grilled didn't have to leave the island. Beach, pool, kayak and a little kite flying for our grandson. We have already reserved our spot for next year. So happy to have found Palm Island!

We loved Palm Island! We especially liked the laid back feel to the place - enjoyed kayaking, biking, walking the beach, and just doing nothing. The food at the restaurant was surprisingly great -- could have used a better vegetarian option though.The villa we stayed in was nice - the furnishings were wonderful. However, the blinds in the living room and one set in the bedroom didn't work which was a pain because we couldn't close them at night. Only other criticism I had was that the paint job in the unit was a mess. Little things like that ruin the big picture.Overall though we thorough enjoyed our stay. We wouldn't hesitate to return except we can't bring our dog.

Palm Island is a perfect getaway for those that want to disconnect from the world. It is a beautiful, quaint island that allows you to fully relax and breathe. The staff are very kind and helpful at the front desk and restaurant. There is only one restaurant and one ice cream shop which allows you to not worry about where to go for dinner, etc. A few of the staff in the ice cream shop (Coconuts) are not the most friendly but that is a minor issue compared to all that this wonderful getaway offers.

The staff were professional. The grounds were very well kept. Our villa had the smallest closet in the master and only 4 hangers. The paint in the master bathroom was bad. The microwave needed to be replaced as smelt burnt and missing the liner inside.

This is the most relaxing vacation, we loved driving around in the golf cart, the island was not crowed at all. We played tennis, bike ride. It was great because you didn't have to worry about finding a seat at the pool. The restaurant has the best food and prices are ok.

Very enjoyable, a lovely time in spite of the cold, windy weather. saved by the heated pool and hot tub. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Liked the co-op with IPFW internship program. Had a grerat time with naturalist Chris. Beach villa was spotless and fully equipped. Our only issue was the fact that we had to go up to 500 ft. from the unit in order to get wi-fi. We understand that the resort is working to resolve that.

My husband and I had been staying in motels one at a time while we drove down the Gulf Coast. They were getting more and more expensive as we got further south. I was afraid a Resort would be too expensive and too cruise-like. I found Palm Island Resort on trip advisor and decided to try it for 1 night. We loved it, and stayed 3 nights. The office was very accommodating. We loved the quiet, the lack of cars, and the real feeling of security there. We left because we had rented a house for the President's Week and were being joined by our children and grandchildren. That week is almost over, and we're going to try to return to Palm Island for a few days before we explore the Keys and then return home to the COLD!! Next year we're going to plan a longer stay on Palm Island.

We have been vacationing at P. I. for 15 consecutive years. This unit had the most comfortable master bedroom and living room. Unfortunately the master bath was similar to a cheap roadside hotel, the kitchen was outdated with paint peeling on microwave and donated utensils, and the guest room beds were designed for small children not for adults. Additionally, the guest bathroom was far superior to the master bath and the whole unit seemed to have been painted by a first time painter.

Our room was a little dated and in need of refreshing (bathroom and kitchen- although I suppose with granite countertops they consider it updated). Kitchen cabinet doors were loose, old (but clean) appliances, porch furniture had grime on chairs. The overall facility was amazing. Although I know others were there, you didn't see many people. Check in and check out was a breeze. Lastly, lack of wifi, although it said wifi available at pool...if it was there, it didn't work. If I were on a longer stay, I would certainly like to have it available.

We needed somewhere to stay for 2 days before our 3rd annual family presidents week on Anna Maria. For 3rd year we were able to stay in a lovely gulf side villa. We enjoyed the peacefull get away, bike rides and dinners at rum bay restaurant. We'll be back. Our only problem was that there was no mattress pad on bed, just a waterproof cover, making you feel sweaty. We solved problem by putting bedspread under bottom sheet. If we were staying for more than the 2 days we would have asked for a mattress pad

We were visiting to attend a wedding for a few days. The beach was beautiful & everyone was very welcoming! We would love to visit again, considering one-way flights & the ease of booking, however we would prefer a different villa due to dirty furniture, broken coffee pot, broken blender, chipped paint & wallpaper throughout the villa, & lack of cleanliness. If potential visitors are considering visiting, keep in mind frequent ferry rides, cooking & meal prep is on you, & no amenities are included.

This is the fourth time we have vacationed at Palm Island Resort. We enjoy the secluded beautiful beaches and great views of the sunsets. The grounds of the Resort are beautiful and well maintained. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the condition of the Beach Villa that we paid a lot of money to rent was not up to the standard we have come to expect. The appliances were old and 2 of the burners on the stove didn’t work. The furniture was old and needs to be upgraded. The television in the main room was very small by today’s standards and the picture quality was poor. The carpet was torn and dirty. The whole condo needs to be painted.
I would not recommend this villa without a very serious upgrade regarding the above issues.

The condo was a little run down. Paint job in bathrooms was amateurish at best (splashes of white paint on green background). Paint chipping in living room. The blinds in master bedroom has a missing handle so it was difficult to open/close; the curtains were not hung correctly. Shower head was cheap. Porch furniture was functional but worn.
Same for second bedroom. Additional sheets and pillowcases were on floor.

Taken individually, these items would not lead to this low rating. But taken a whole, the condo did not live up to expectations of the advertised "De Luxe" rental and did not warrant the price charged.

Excellent staff at the resort, especially the bellhops. Villa 3723 needed a few things fixed but was overall good but a bit tired. Kitchen was clean and well equipped. In the master bath, the drain was clogged most likely with sand and was very slow to drain. Standing in water. And in the master B/R, the center blind was missing a control rod to open or close the blind. Had to reach up and twist by hand.
