Apples is a wonderful Villa. Great location. Stunning pool. Stylishly furnished. Superb property manager and guest communications with the owner. Our stay could not have been better. 5 star highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. Apple's House is much more impressive than described in the listing. First of all, it is well-maintained and super clean. Kudos to Andrea who came in twice during our stay to perform housekeeping duties. She is friendly, passionate about her work, and does an excellent job. Second, check-in was super easy and was made even easier with the kind assistance of Julie, the house manager. Third, the property is large and comfortably accommodated our group of six. Four, a welcome package of basic necessities including bread, eggs, water, etc. are provided. Five, the piece-de-resistance, the backyard and pool, is nothing short of delightful. We actually spent a tremendous amount of time at the villa and the backyard and pool contributed greatly to our reasons for doing so. One thing worth mentioning is that the beautiful Caribbean weather provides a haven for bugs, roaches, mosquitoes, and the like, and Apple's House is no exception. That said, the brief encounter with the critters in no way detracts from the attractiveness and comfort of the home, especially since the sprays provided work effectively against them. In sum, another vacation warranting a villa rental in Barbados will definitely find me back at Apple' House.

Lovely home with a truly amazing pool. Great location with easy access to both the beach just 10 minutes down the road and the highway up the road for touring around the island.

We had a fabulous stay at Apples House! Everything was exactly as shown, beds were comfortable, pool and outdoor area was AMAZING. As a group that loves to cook, we were really pleased with the well-stocked kitchen. We cannot say enough good things about Julie, the manager - she was amazing throughout our stay. All in all it was a wonderful vacation.

My family has been coming to Barbados since 2013. We've stayed in several different villas on the east/west coast of this beautiful island. Appleshouse checked all boxes and we felt the price was reasonable for what was offered. I had some worries that sometimes are not talked about in reviews.
The villa is in a neighborhood, and with that we were worried about noise. Of course, Appleshouse has no control over neighborhood noise, (barking dogs, party houses, roosters crowing, vehicle horns beeping, etc)it can make/break a holiday. I'm happy to say that it was very quiet. The road is not busy with vehicle/pedestrian traffic. It feels very secluded. There are neighborhood dogs, however it seems they only bark when a family of monkeys are passing or when it’s dinner time.
The bedrooms have AC that work great. The beds were very comfortable. The ensuite bathrooms had good water pressure and the solar tank never ran out of hot water.
I was concerned about the kitchen/dining/ living room not having AC. This wasn't an issue because of the well thought-out design. Shutters/doors take advantage of cross winds combined w ceiling fans made the spaces very comfortable.
Julie the property manager was always available for questions, very pleasant and knowledgeable. Andrea the housekeeper was professional but easy going, a joy to talk with. She made us feel at home, worked around us seamlessly. The pride she takes in her work is evident. Thanks for opening your home to ourfamily!

We spent our family spring break (March 11-18) in Barbados - 3 generations: 5 adults and 2 children. Apple's House was simply fantastic. The villa is beautifully (but comfortably) appointed. We spent a lot of time in the covered open area between the house and the pool eating, reading, and watching the kids swim. Julie, the property manager, is delightful and was very helpful in arranging dining and water activities. The villa is a very short drive to several beaches along the West Coast and is easy driving distance to Holetown and Speightstown. We also spent a wonderful day driving to the East Coast and the Barbados Wildlife Preserve. We hope to return in the future.

We just had a wonderful family holiday with 6 adults and a 10 month old baby at Apples House. Communication from the start was outstanding. Julie the house manager got in touch early before our visit and arranged lots of things for us (cot, car hire, airport transfer, shopping, cook etc). Andrea the house keeper was so nice and friendly and Ryan the local taxi contact 100% reliable. The house is lovely, comfortable and well equipped. The patio area overlooking the pool has a great view out to sea and a nice place to sit and relax. The pool is perfect temperature and the 10 month old with us was in every day in his inflatable. There are lots of lovely restaurants very local (book early!) and plenty of places doing takeaway food. We found a car essential for supermarket trips, takeaway pick-ups etc being a group of 7. We used Ryan for getting us all to local restaurants and back a few nights. All in all a beautiful villa in a nice quiet location with friendly helpful support on hand. We couldn’t recommend this villa and the team highly enough.

7 adults (parents, offspring + partners) for 7 days. Pictures reflect the spectacular view, and how charming Apple's House is - though in person even better! Hosts and staff very helpful and responsive, everything promised as described or better (eg. kitchen). Definitely need a car, not a practical walk to beach, but the views and sunsets, plus early morning monkey visits (shy, trees left of the house looking out to the sea). We all enjoyed a half-day catamaran/snorkeling cruise, and the wildlife preserve at feeding time (2pm) was surprisingly entertaining even for adults (tortoises, monkeys, peacocks, deer around you, totally comfortable with your presence). Agree with others comments re: excellent nearby restaurants, though we mostly ate at the house. Likely the best location we have stayed at across the Carribean (of several).

From the time we arrived until we left, we felt very comfortable.
Julie the house manager was so obliging to our needs, nothing was to much trouble.
Andrea was very thorough in her cleaning.
Not sure why a previous review complained about always having someone at the Villa, we most certainly did not experience this.
Julie made it very clear who would be attending and when.
We only meet Andrea very briefly as she was leaving and never saw the gardener or pool man.
So to the Villa it is a large comfortable Villa with a very private outdoor space, the pool is excellent with a shallow area that’s perfect for cooling down without the need for any effort.
There is plenty of space for 4 couples to enjoy there holiday without being over crowded.
There’s everything you would need if you feel the need to cook for yourself, we didn’t !
Please use the house notes as a guide they are excellent, Ryan the recommended taxi contact was very good, never late once and we used him every day.
There are plenty of very nice restaurants about, but be prepared they aren’t cheap, but that said what would you expect from a top class restaurant on the beach in Barbados !
We used the following during our stay,
Lone Star, The Mews, Sitar, Pepenero and Fusion Roof Top restaurant.
All of which were very good. My wife is vegan and they all made it very easy for her to choose something off menu.
All in all we had a great holiday made even better by this amazing Villa.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The pool area and view of the Carribean is stunning. The staff were friendly and Julie the house manager is really kind and helpful. Would definitely return.

The house was as described and we had no issues while we were there. Everything worked, the house staff was polite and communicative and the pool was FANTASTIC. A nice perk was how well equipped the kitchen was.
We did have the pleasure of seeing a few monkeys around the property which was cool as well.

January 2023. The Apple House manager, Julie was very prompt and efficient and we received ample instructions and information about the property before arriving. Overall, the house was perfect for a family of 7 adults. The covered porch was a comfortable place for meals and evening lounge.
Places we recommend are 1. Lunch at Animal Cave and also went to Bathsheba on the same day. 2. Lunch /sunbathe at LaCabane at Batts Beach. 3. 3-hour snorkel and boating with Shawn at sublimewatersports.com 246.260.7715. He can't be matched. Very private and takes you all around. Boat held us all comfortably. Def skip the tourist-crowded catamarans. 4. Lunch or Dinner at Sea Shed at Mullins Beach.
The house has some lovely eclectic artifacts and has a lived in feel. All of the beds are very firm. We used minimal AC at night and nothing during the day. January seems to have lots of rain, so we only had a few good days of sunshine. The pool was too cold but was a nice view and ambiance. (There were no functioning pool lights as noted in the photo.) No mosquitos noted this time of year. One sweet monkey did grace us with a few sightings. Neighborhood seemed quiet and safe but not visually equal to this house. The 'walk' noted to the beach was unrealistic for most and no sidewalks on a narrow road. Would not advise. It was not a concern for us as we had a car. Mullins beach is very small and given the range of beaches would advise checking out several on the island. Pebble Beach was pretty and had rentable chairs as did most beaches. . We travel to many islands and found this trip to be one of the best with access to fresh seafood and very kind locals.
We would recommend this house for families who spend evenings at home and are interested in having day trips to explore the area. Allow 45 minutes from the airport to arrive at the location. We prefer Premier Hosts as they typically do meet expectations and have accurate descriptions and supporting reliable reviews.

Wow just wow!
What could be better than spending Christmas on the wonderful island of Barbados. Just when you think it can’t get any better, you arrive at Apples House.
Everything about Apples House is superb.
The accommodation was immaculate with everything you could need to enhance your holiday.
From the patio, the view across the pool to the ocean is spectacular and a delightful place to enjoy a sundowner at the end of day.
If you can bear to tear yourself away from the house there are many terrific restaurants just on your doorstep.
We particularly loved Local & Co, Sea Shed and Lone Star.
We enjoyed exploring the island as there are many interesting places to visit and all are within an easy travelling distance.
The house manager Julie is very friendly and helpful and was happy to recommend trips we might enjoy e.g. a catamaran trip and local restaurants. Andrea really looked after us in the house and made our stay extra special.
We highly recommend a stay at Apples House and hope it is not too long before we can visit again.

Beautiful well maintained property very much a home from home. Was perfect for us with adult children (pool could be an issue for small children). Had a wonderful stat with great communication from owners and Julie who looks after the property. Highly recommended.

We have just returned from a fantastic 10 days at Appleshouse. The house is beautiful with every home convenience and so quiet and peaceful. Superb restaurants are within a short 5 to 7 minute drive down the coast road in both directions, and we had great meals at the Sea shed, the fish pot and Lone Star Restaurants. We also had many enjoyable meals using the barbecue with freshly caught fish and the covered terrace providing a wonderful tropical venue. No issues with mosquitoes during our stay.
Julie the house manager was a great resource and we used her concierge services for booking a catamaran trip on the Tiami and for booking restaurants. Also Andrea the housekeeper ensured that the house was very clean and well prepared for our arrival and her regular visits ensured that the house was always clean and tidy during our stay.
Thank you for the use of your wonderful house in paradise.

We checked in Monday and checked out Friday, the stay was miserable. It was my birthday and anniversary trip. Repair man, housekeeping, house manager, pool guy, gardener (everyday one of them), no privacy.
No air, except bedrooms, very hot in house, it was raining everyday so couldn’t keep one side of house open for airflow. Windows in kitchen had to be shut when rains and were falling apart, Pans, pan scrubber and under sink disgusting, bathroom smelled so bad couldn’t use it, silverware drawer smelled of mold and the one above it. Water sitting under sink and dirty, mosquito haven from the sink. Bit all the time INSIDE, not much outside. Someone’s sock under bed. Must pay for electric if you over use it.
Fan didn’t work over bed, jacuzzi tub isn’t for guests, not allowed in garage, but that’s where ping pong is, no beach chairs. While house Mananger communicated w us, she was condescending over our issues.
The owner seemed to fend for the house manager and not his guests.
While he refunded part of the money, it doesn’t make up for our misery the first week at his house. Quote from owner: this isn’t a hotel it’s my home.
Then why rent it???

I am very nervous writing this review as when I forwarded the review I intended to write the landlord (Charlotte) messaged both on VRBO & on my mobile extremely rudely with threats that VRBO will take this review down as they would not want to lose the landlords business. As a quick summery we have submitted a complaint to VRBO & also via our credit card company we used to pay with regarding our experience. We booked this place for 22 nights paying thousands we then paid and extra as they agreed to let 4 family members stay, the kids got bitten to pieces because of mosquito larve around the garden which the house manager was refusing to acknowledge the problem, before we even arrived because we mentioned we were getting married we were accused of wanting to host parties, we were getting continuous rude messages from the landlord with accusations& petty things such as toilet roll a day before our wedding, the villa is extremely tired not true to its description although the pool & view over pool amazing, lots of amenities falling apart which when we raised the issues was always told was not this way before you came, unfortunately there is limited text on this review we will leave a more detailed review with pictures on the google listing ‘apples house barbados’ overall I cannot recommend doing business with landlords like this our wedding trip should’ve been the most special trip of our lives and it was tainted by the horrendous treatment we received from both Charlotte and the house manager Julie, I wish I could post pictures & screen shots of both the villa & the messages I have received personally.

Family Time
We had a lovely stay with family visiting from different parts of the world. We shopped for and cooked most of our meals and enjoyed dining on the terrace every day/night. Lots of time in the pool! Overall an excellent experience. The house is spacious and comfortable, the bedrooms all set up nicely for our group with just the right amount of privacy for everyone. We all enjoyed our stay!

What a well-appointed home!
We booked Apple's House for our annual girls' weekend. The four of us were impressed by the property and they incredibly well-appointed bedrooms. All were comfortable, furnished beautifully, strong AC, and you could tell that this is a wonderful, family home. The living area is spacious -- opening the French doors on both sides of the house is a must or the heat is tough to deal with. The pool and terrace are amazing and certainly where we spent most of our time. Julie the house manager is incredibly helpful and really made our stay easier and quite pleasant.

APPLE'S HOUSE IS FAB!!
The villa is amazing and has everything you could want with a holiday home. Great seeing the monkeys around the pool(fantastic by the way) in the mornings. The only thing I would say is a car is needed as there is nothing really on your doorstep and walking to mullins beach is approximately 30 minute. Grace the housekeeper is amazing and so helpfully with any advice when asked nothing was too much trouble. If using taxi's which we did I would recommend Ryan's taxi services as he is so reliable and very reasonable as other taxi's couldn't always find the house by address given. Felt slightly let done with the villa manager as only couple points of contact but I would say that would be my only negatives

An amazing house with incredible views to the sea
The perfect place to enjoy an idyllic sunset.
Sitting up in the hills, Apples House is in an ideal position for everything. Lovely neighbourhood and a short drive to many gorgeous beaches and close enough to Holetown and Speightstown for amenities and restaurants.
The house is beautifully furnished and with lovely artefacts inside and in the garden. It is really well stocked - from all you’d need in the kitchen to pool and beach towels. Comfort in every room from beds to sofas. The pool has been incredibly well-designed for all ages and with beautiful dark blue tiles which appear almost purple in the sunset.
We had a fantastic 10 days eating some great food, drinking rum punches and going on various trips. Would recommend a catamaran outing swimming with turtles, ship wrecks and lunch on board, being entertained by the friendly crew. We had a delicious cooked dinner made by a local chef who delivered to the house.
We didn’t want to come back. Everyone we met was so friendly, helpful and generally delightful!
We were so well looked after by Julie and Grace, we didn’t want for anything.
Thank you Charles and Charlotte for the loan of your beautiful house. We’ll be back!

Fabulous Property
Just spent a fantastic week at Apple’s House. The house is lovely and of a decent size which was more than big enough for 2 couples to have plenty of space. However, the star of show is the pool and views which are spectacular. You are a short drive from glorious beaches but we were more than happy at times to spend our days around the pool and sunset was an event every night.
House manager Julie was very helpful, and chef Rashida cooked us some fabulous dinners.
The house is located in a very quiet neighbourhood and I would definitely recommend it as the prefect place to come and relax and chill out.

Really nice house, great pool, quiet and relaxing
All good. Never met the property manager but the ‘maid’ was really helpful. Maybe just me but expected a bit more interest from the owner/local host (we were never asked whether everything was ok) whilst out here, but no complaints. Harry the maintenance man shouted at me when we arrived because we were earlier than expected but not quite sure how or why that was my fault. But as I said, lovely house, really enjoyable stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at your home. It was very lovely and well cared for. The evenings on the lanai were very peaceful and calming. My 2 sons really enjoyed the pool and my oldest learned to swim. Thanks for an awesome experience❣️

Wonderful house with the most amazing views
We stayed at Apple house with my parents and our two small children. The house is full of character and wonderful features. The property faces West so the sunsets are breathtaking.
The house is very close to some wonderful beaches (Gibbs and Mullins) and some great restaurants.
We were looked after by Grace, the housekeeper, and Harry, the handyman, who made sure the house was always clean and any minor issues resolved super quickly.
There was not so much garden space to run around for our little boys but it didn’t matter as the pool was big and deep enough for them to swim till their hearts’ content.
We couldn’t recommend this place enough and hope to be back one day.

Barbados splendor
Appleshouse is an awesome house with spectacular views!!! We all thoroughly enjoyed our time, even dealing with a pandemic and Covid testings. What a better place to quarantine, beautiful pool with the best views. We enjoyed the terrace every morning waiting to catch a glimpse of the monkeys. Harry did an awesome job making sure we were taken care of. The neighborhood was very safe, we felt very comfortable. Such a wonderful place to get away from TVs, cold weather, just chill out and relax!!!! We would all definitely return to Appleshouse!!!! Highly recommend this property!!

Travelling during the pandemic, we were keen to still make our annual family holiday a good one, and it was! Apples House is in a very peaceful area of Barbados, and the view is absolutely jaw dropping. Due to the lack of noise, you’ll see monkeys in the nearby trees, bats at sunset, and fireflies at night - what a sight! The interior is equally stunning with a lovely family room (fan-cooled only, no A/C in this room) and then 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (all individually A/C cooled) which were great places to cool down after a long day outdoors. The pool was a game changer - lovely to wade in during our business calls and swim laps in the morning. We loved using the BBQ to cook up some fresh barracuda and wahoo that we caught at sea.Internet-wise, the speed was good enough to have two of us on video conference calls at the same time, but I wish I had brought an Ethernet cable for a direct link or a wifi booster, as the bedroom furthest away from the front door has v weak signal - will bring next time!Charles and the team were insanely helpful both with pre-trip preparations for covid screening and all requests whilst at the house. I would highly recommend anyone to hire a car whilst there - and let Julie the house manager create the booking for you to get the best price. They’ll bring the car to the house for you! We’ll definitely be back as we’ve found our ideal place for winter sun and an escape from the UK!!

Fabulous stay at Apple's House
We had a great 2-week stay at Apple's House. The house is well laid-out, with ample space in each of the rooms, but the real attraction is outside; a fantastic swimming pool is the center-piece of an incredible garden oasis, with views over the Caribbean Sea. What an amazing place to unwind. Watch the birds, the bats, the stars and fireflies, whilst relaxing either in the pool or on the well-equipped patio.
There are plenty of restaurants within a few miles of the property, regardless if you want top-notch cuisine or local Bajan food, and if you don't want to leave the house, there is a great BBQ to cook some fresh fish for your dinner. We loved Barbados and loved Apple's House.

Wow. What a find.
Apple's House is an oasis of calm. Such a lovely environment for a restful holiday. Spacious airy and extremely comfortable. Loved the idea of bedroom wings at either end of the house. The pool and view were stunning. Ernesta Julie and Harry were fantastic in ensuring our holiday would be a memorable occasion. Barbados is beautiful. Definitely recommend a car. The Cool Runnings Boat Cruise was brilliant. Thank you.

Loved our home base
Apple's House was the perfect home base for our family while in Barbados. Plenty of space for the group to spread out. Lots of comfortable living spaces. Easy for us to work on laptops in the shade while kids were in the pool. Excellent location for us to explore from. We'd love to come back and spend more time!

My Happy Place!
I traveled to Barbados with my girlfriends to relax and celebrate my birthday. We had an amazing time! The pictures do not fully capture the beauty of the Apple House, and the hospitality of its owners and caretakers. You feel welcome from the moment that you arrive, and have all of the comforts of an amazing property that you don't have to share with 100s of "guests." We can't wait to return!

Wonderful villa
This was our 5th family holiday in Barbados, all of them in villas on the West Coast, and this was the best villa of them all. The villa is superbly equipped, very spacious, an excellent swimming pool and the most superb views.
Charles, Harry, Julie and Ernesta were all wonderfully helpful and went way beyond the call of duty. We cannot thank them enough.
We can thoroughly recommend Apple's House and hope it is not too long before we pay a return visit.
