About this house rental

House at the foot of the Medieval City completely renovated. Industrial atmosphere and modern comfort. Only 150m walk from the big city, 500m walk from the city center. Right outside the bus stop that crosses the city. Private garden with trees not overlooked (possibility of parking). Crossing, very bright. Possibility to visit everything on foot. Shops 50 meters away, butcher, fishmonger, supermarket, hairdresser, bank, pharmacy, restaurant, pizzeria, newsagent, etc. Free on-site parking. Large garden with barbecue, lounge and table to eat outside. Fully equipped as new. Quality bedding. Bed linen and bath sheets provided. Flat screen in each bedroom. Any comfort, any mobility and all conveniences that place. Rental of entire accommodation. Sleeps 6 max: 2 complete bedding, 1 sofa bed 120 (1 pers) and 1 inflatable mattress. The city and these ramparts at only 150 meters. The town center 500 m away with its market 3 times a week, its Unesco-classified canal, with a ride on the water, visits to cathedrals and a museum. Only 3km from the large nautical base of Cavayère, for young and old ... Carcassonne, between the Corbières (Village of Lagrasse) and the Minervois, this region offers various sumptuous landscapes, the Cathar castles (history), and a good number of family activities.

Super séjour

Super séjour

Nous sommes arrivés un dimanche pour une durée d’une semaine. Le propriétaire était présent, il n’y a pas eu d’attente. L’appartement se trouve dans un petit renfoncement assez classique des anciennes bâtisses. On entre sur un jardin entretenu avec un beau volume (barbecue, table pour manger et petit salon de jardin). L’appartement à l’intérieur est magnifique, on voit aisément le volume de travaux nécessaires pour un résultat aussi propre et soigné. Les pièces ont un beau volume, on ne se sent pas à l’étroit (nous étions 3). Le propriétaire a été d’une grande sympathie, nous prêtant un lit parapluie, une chaise haute, table à langer et jouets pour le petit. Autre marque de sympathie, nous avons été accueilli avec un panier garni de quelques produits locaux. Pour finir, la cité médiévale, l’atout majeur de la ville de carcassone ne se trouve qu’à 3-5min à pied. Nous y avons été quasiment tous les jours en plus de quelques lieux environnants (Dont Lastour, très belle randonnée à faire). Bon séjour aux prochains.

We had a great time at Sarah's property. It was a little hard to find but that was down to us not being able to use the sat nav properly and the house is tucked away at the end of a quiet lane. The location of the house was perfect. Just 5 mins walk from the old city and at the top of Rue Trivalle so an easy and historic walk into the newer part of the city. The house is better than the pictures, with good sized rooms, air conditioning in both bedrooms and the open plan living/dining room. The garden was an extra bonus, a lovely spot for breakfast and an evening drink. Sarah had supplied a lovely welcome basket of local food and wine which was a real help as we arrived on Bastille Day so not much was open. All in all it was a lovely stay and the house provided everything we needed plus more, would recommend.
