About this apartment rental

Spacious open plan apartment is conveniently located a few minutes walk from the downtown activities in a quiet residential neighborhood, "On the Hill". The apartment is up a flight of stairs among the trees. Off street parking is provided. Many amenities provided including almost any kitchen item you could need, electric grill, washer and dryer, WIFI, Roku TV with lots of free shows and movies and live TV for news etc. (or bring your streaming log in and log into your own Netflix, Hulu etc.) DVD player and a selection of DVDs. Central air and ceiling fans make for a very comfortable hideaway in warm weather. The outdoor deck is nice for comfortable evenings enjoying the electric grill and patio furniture.

Climb the stairs to the outdoor deck and enter the open plan apartment through the sliding door. The kitchen and dining area are to the right and living room to the left as you enter. There is a small laundry room off of the kitchen. Down a short hallway is the bathroom with walk in shower. And at the end of the hall is the bedroom with queen bed and desk. It is a very light and airy apartment with many windows throughout to enjoy the trees and surrounding gardens, but with appropriate curtains and blinds to provide privacy as well.

This is a no smoking and no pets apartment.

We are quite booked up, but here is when the apartment is still available so you don't have to keep plugging in dates: August 4-6, 25-27, 29-September 3rd, September 6-11, 20-the end of the year.

We are following the guidelines of the CDC and WHO in our health and safety practices ...

-Contactless check in and check out. We unlock the unit for you earlier in the day and leave a key for you to use. Then you leave the key and the place unlocked, and if possible give us a call when you check out.

-If possible we wait several hours or a day to go over and clean after a group has left to let things settle.

-Then when we come to clean, we open all the windows and turn the fans on to air out the place.

-We wash the sheets and towels with hot water.

-Then we clean everything like usual.

-At the end we go around with the WHO recommended type of disinfecting bleach (not laundry bleach) mixed with the recommenced ratio of water and disinfect: counters, faucets and taps and shower controls, handles of appliances and doors and cabinets, light switches, AC control, lamps, remotes, soap dispensers, TV and DVD player and Roku box, info book, key, and where people frequently touch the windows and blinds.

Exactly what we love about staying local instead of at a hotel. Close to everything in Saugatuck, but feels slightly tucked away. Artistic touches, while still perfectly minimal decoration. Clean. Host was great. Would recommend for two guests.

We had a great stay! The 1 bed apartment over a detached garage was perfect. The place was clean and within walking distant to shops and restaurants. Aaron was informative about amenities and kept us up to speed on check in times. We would definitely stay again. Thanks Aaron

The property is excellent. Layout is spacious and comfortable. Full compliment of amenities. The location is quiet and secure and a short walk or drive to the waterfront and shopping district of Saugatuck. The host is responsive and the owners live next door which we consider a plus. This property is very highly recommended and we would stay there again in a heartbeat.

My mom and I came up to Saugatuck for a girls weekend and this place was perfect! We walked everywhere from the house. We really appreciated the late checkout on Sunday so we could enjoy more time there.

Mim’s place apartment is the ideal rental for a couple looking to enjoy Saugatuck. Very well kept, easy walk to downtown, but away from the noise when it’s time to relax. We definitely plan to stay here again on any future visits to the area.

Nestled in the midst of a hilltop Saugetuk neighborhood was the immaculately landscaped Mimi’s. It was a peaceful, quiet and comfortable one bedroom apartment with all amenities as described and pictured. We give it a AAA rating and would not hesitate to book again.

My boyfriend and I travel to Saugatuck every October for the beautiful scenery and to enjoy our favorite area. Mims Place was amazing and just beautiful- and the street was so quiet. We never heard another car! We walked to town every day and enjoyed the neighborhood. We had tea on the deck amongst the trees and relaxed for our long weekend. We definitely want to visit Mims Place again!

Walking distance to Saugatuck shopping and dining. Located on a nice quiet street with porch that is beautifully shaded by mature trees. Sitting on the porch was such a serene experience. The place was well maintained, cozy and comfortable. We will definitely b stay here again. Owners were very responsive as well.

Best part is the full size W/D so you don't go home with a suitcase full of dirty laundry. Only wish is a Queen size bed instead of the Full Size. Great place and would book again in a heartbeat.

The property is a perfect location. Close enough to shops and restaurants to be able to walk everywhere but far enough away to have quiet and be able to relax. My partner and I spent Thanksgiving at this property this year. It was a great place, spacious and clean with everything you needed. It was a nice quiet neighborhood with easy access to downtown. Fantastic Stay! Generous sized apartment above a 3 car garage... with full sized kitchen, full bath, large living room, great second floor deck. Literally 1.5 blocks to the tourist area (chain ferry, restaurants, coffee, shopping), but away from the crowds. Great neighborhood for walking. Host could not be better!
