This is aptly named a charming row house on Capitol Hill. My co-workers/friends needed to arrive in DC a day early to the CBC due to the addition of a White House visit at the last minute. We tried book other hotels but of course the cost of one night for all three of us at would have been four times as much for individual hotel rooms. Here, we each had our ownrooms with on suites and a half bath. We also enjoyed a full equipped kitchen and family room to celebrate a birthday. The only minor drawback was the TV access. In the time of streaming with limited cable, I would say bring your own Fire Stick so you can watch your familiar shows and movies. There no simple turn on the TV to a channel. Besides the minor inconvenience, a highly recommended stay!

We loved this property! It’s in a great location, quiet neighborhood. With much to go see close by, and lots of options for food. And you have everything away from home. We visited with our 3 daughters and they loved the house, the beds are comfortable and the place is clean. It is an old house that has been remodeled somewhat. It still maintains the

Very happy we chose this property. Barry was very responsive and replied to questions immediately. The location is fairly close to Capital Hill if you are ok with a walk there. There are lime scooters and bikes all over to grab as well. The parking spot is great out back but tight if you have a large vehicle. We did tuck a full size pick up in there though.

Communication throughout process was exceptional and house was indeed charming. Wonderful neighborhood, too.

This historic house was a comfortable place for us to stay for a few days. Everything was clean and in working order (with a couple of quirks one expects from historic homes, like floors that are slanted in spots). AC worked great, which was critical during the heat wave! I love that the Metro station and Trader Joe's are so close by, as is Eastern Market, which was fun to visit. Check out East City Bookshop, Le Pain Quotidien, and Labyrinth Games and Puzzles, all close to the Metro station.

The property was great for a Fourth of July long weekend. We were extremely thankful for a very cold A/C in the hottest weekend of the year and spacious bedrooms for all of our teenage children.
Hot water takes some time to kick on but eventually gets there!
We didn’t mind the walk to eastern market and navigated the city easily without a car.
Thanks again!

This is a charming row house decorated very well within walking distance to downtown Washington DC. There were several games the kids enjoyed playing and there were plenty of comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. We enjoy cooking and there were plenty of pots/pans and kitchenware for our group of 7. The owner thought of the small things like toiletries and dishsoap/trashbags/dishwasher detergent, etc to have on hand. Our minivan was a tight fit in the garage but we got it in there! The neighborhood was very safe with lots of families out in the evenings at Lincoln park. Overall a wonderful place to stay with kind owners that were very attentive. We will definitely stay here again if we return to the city.

The house is beautiful and in a lovely neighborhood. The house itself is an interesting mix of high-end classic finishes and assorted degrees of quality in the renovations and retrofits. The furnishings and displays are really interesting. We loved staying there and highly recommend.

The property is located in a quiet neighborhood and easily accessible to all activities. The check in process was easy and we were allowed access for dropping off of luggage for a few of us that arrived early. The rooms downstairs are smaller than the pictures present. We enjoyed our stay.

The property was just like the pictures. Really nice 3 story townhouse, well appointed bedrooms, comfortable beds and couches throughout, big kitchen to cook in, the whole 9 yards. Close to Eastern Market, which is open 8-6 most days, and not too far to walk to downtown DC action. Would stay again.

Our family really enjoyed staying at this house. It’s immaculate, and very nicely decorated. Great location in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. Eastern Market is a must visit on weekends and there is so much close by. I cannot emphasize enough the benefit of the private and secure parking. The beds were very comfortable. And each bedroom having its own bathroom is a huge plus when traveling with teenagers. Barry, the owner, is incredibly responsive. We had no issues at all, but when we had a question he responded immediately. Could not be happier with our stay and I hope we get to come back.

We’ve traveled to DC for years, and this is one of our favorite locations so far. The easy access to Eastern Market (food, shopping and metro) and walkability to Capitol Hill make it ideal. The setup was great for our group (5 women) - enough room to spread out, work, and relax - plus have social time. The neighborhood is wonderful - quiet and friendly. The host was great - very responsive - and access was simple and easy. Comfy beds and nice bathrooms too. We had a great stay!

Our 2nd stay at this lovely house!
We stayed at this house 3 years ago and were so pleased with our stay we decided to do it again. I was hesitant about traveling during COVID, but I knew this house would be immaculate and safe and we could walk many places.
Barry, the host, was extremely responsive when we had questions.
The location is perfect!
Loved that it has off-street parking.
Every detail was attended to!
I would definitely stay there again!
