Great price for the home and location. Being able to walk to the beach was nice.

Location was convenient and house was roomy.

This was very enjoyable. The AC unit was overtaxed. Emptying the bucket 3 times a day a nuisance. Everything else was good enough to overlook that we would stay there again in a heartbeat

This was my first vacation on Cape Cod, and I was hoping that the house would live up to the images and description online. I was pleasantly surprised on all accounts. The house was needed as a pin and very clean, the yard was shady and spacious, the beach nearby was perfect for days when we didn’t want to drive to a bigger beach. The location was convenient to mini golf, restaurants, shops, and of course other nearby towns. I was a little worried about the house, not having central air, but the air conditioner in the main bedroom and dehumidifier provided more than enough pool. There were also box fans in every room that helped keep the air moving at night. Nothing bad to say, honestly!

Perfect location to be close to a few towns and explore. We needed a place close enough to Hyannis’ car show but also allowed us to explore other spots. Gray’s beach was beautiful and Englewood was a great smaller beach to start off the morning. The house seemed to have everything we needed

This was central to everything we were interested in! Great place for small groups

House was in a nice neighborhood , walking distance to beaches. Perfect size for us on an oversized lot with nice deck. Well stocked and clean.

It is obvious much has been done to the property, kitchen, bathrooms, tree work. It is a nice home, but on a scale of 1-5, I would rate it a 2-3. It wouldn’t take much to improve that; new glassware, new silverware, new pots and pans. The beach chairs were worn out and broken. We bought two new ones. Much of the furniture was old “leftovers “, especially the bedrooms.
Air conditioning units are small and inadequate for the spaces.
As I said, we didn’t hate the house, but we were a bit disappointed. Location was very good.

Not ready for prime time
The house itself was cute but upon arrival the WiFi did not work. My husband was able to fix it. Also, the TV did not work, which was no wonder because the cable box, HDMI cord, power cord and other equipment was strewn in a heap on the stairwell behind the TV. When I called the property management company (Vacasa) i was told it would be submitted as a priority ticket and someone would call within an hour, neither of which happened. It was eventually fixed. Ice maker was reported not hooked up at all and that was never fixed. Couch in photo of listing did not exist. Instead we got a futon with the comfort level of a frat house. Please also consider having some lamps in the house, particularly on the nightstands in the bedrooms. One outlet in the main bathroom also did not work. Outdoor light at side door was installed upside down and blew out during our stay.

Clean & Bright!
House was very clean & bright! Central to many places. Wonderful neighborhood to take a walk and even see the beach & water. We really enjoyed our stay!

Nice home and location
Home well kept and furnished. Had a musty smell though and bothered those with allergies. Needs remediation from moldy basement.

Good overall
Overall, it was a good experience in the pandemic. The place was clean. There were a few things that we couldn't get to work, but we made some work arounds. Tried to inform someone through vrbo, but never heard back anything. There should be a contact person if there is an issue on the property, that doesn't involve police. There were no emergencies, but we could have used some extra explanation on certain things.

The place was way too hot. The AC sucks. It was very dirty , vomit all over sofa. Not clean
The place was dirty. Blood on the wall. Sofa had vomit on it. And it was too hot. Bring another AC unit for the window. Sofa bed is awful worst bed I have slept in. Kitchen was nice. Lots of dishes and pots and pans and spices and everything you need to cook all week. Yard was nice. Outdoor shower awesome. Kitchen table is awful only 3 chairs and old and dirty

For a summer vacation rental. To inly have partial a/c is unacceptable. It was 89 degrees
When we arrived at 5 the home was so hot we thought to go to a hotel. The house was nice but made for a very uncomfortable stay.

Nice place
Great location, very clean. Check in process was very easy. Only complaints were that the day we arrived and the following day were very humid and this house only has partial air conditioning so the house didn’t cool off completely until the outside humidity went down. Also, there is a musty smell coming from the. basement that kicked up my allergies. Otherwise, a very nice, clean and comfortable place, with a nice deck and big back yard.

RENT ELSEWHERE
Home did not have Wi-Fi for the 5 days we were there. We also did not have heat on 1 of those days. Kitchen was nice and clean, but unit could definitely use some TLC. Peeling paint on ceiling at entryway door and by one of the sliders. Also, you can visibly see what I believe is sheet rock tape that was not properly skim coated/finished on ceiling as you pass from the piano area to the hallway. We have rented a few vacation homes and experiences were positive. This by far was the worst.

Meh
This property is listed as A/C but in the house description actually notes it is "partial a/c" which means one bedroom has a window unit (not the other two) and the main room of the house has a swamp cooler so it removes humidity and will cool you if you're sitting in front of it but does not in fact cool the house. So if you are wanting A/C this is not the house for you. There are a number of maintenance issues that need addressing (I will follow up with VRBO) but for potential guests I think it is important to be aware that there is a very strong mildew musty smell in the house that is coming from the basement and the doors are so swollen with humidity that they do not shut, so if noise or privacy is a concern for your group this might not be ideal. The beach that is walking distance is quite small and has 100+ boats parked in the bay. It's fine but driving to Seagull is much nicer and does cost $20/day to park. The house was at least clean, even if not well maintained. I would not choose to stay there again.

Cape Escape
House is beautiful, but 2 of 3 bedrooms did not have air conditioning, one shade in each Queen bedroom was somewhat tattered, and back deck screen door came off track regularly. Again, house is beautiful, and very clean.

Nice for a family trip
The house was nice, clean and well stocked with the comforts of home. We went in June and it was only partially air conditioned so I’m glad it wasn’t humid. There were fans in a closet. Kitchen was new and had a great washer /dryer. My kids enjoyed the yard. The walkable beach was small but would be good for young children. I would stay there again. The only minor things that i would change is I could not find a hair dryer which was a bummer. Maybe it was in an odd place , I found 2 irons though. The other was , as 6 people in the house, it rained so we ordered food. The dining table is very small and only seats 4. It would have been nice to all eat together. Overall a good experience!

Three bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of room. Lots of light. Big yard. Quiet street.

Very comfortable stay!
We stayed in this house for a couple of days in April and I am glad I picked this house to stay! It is at a convenient location - a few minutes away from the beach, has stores nearby for emergency supplies (I had to run a quick errand since my kids forgot their toothbrushes :)). It had adequate kitchen supplies to cook a meal. My kids enjoyed the piano and they even have a few board games (although we didn't use them). Overall a very good stay! A minor quirk - the deadbolt on the main door didn't work very smooth.
