Beautiful Lopez Island four bedroom home at the top of a hill with a spectacular view overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Fisherman Bay. It's a private view home nestled on 15 acres of land that deer and bald eagles love to call their home. Plan to have a great time hiking, biking, flying kites, playing horseshoes, shooting hoops, or simply enjoying a stroll on the beach - the beach is only a short 15 minute walk away. Enjoy the sound - while beach combing or just relaxing, watching sea birds and seals as they enjoy the surf. If you love privacy, beautiful views, relaxing, and breathing the salt water this is your getaway vacation home. Additionally it's a perfect vacation spot to spend with friends during the 4th of July! The Island has lots of fun activities, a unique flea market and it's topped off with a fantastic fireworks display that our home overlooks. If you need transportation, Lopez has a transit bus and also a Destination Driver for hire (similar to a taxi). If you wish to rent a bike contact Lopez Bicycle Works - I believe they meet ferries, and will take bicycles to the ferry and have them waiting for you upon your arrival. It's approximately a 11 mile bike ride from the ferry to our home. Lopez is a great island to tour by bike, it has few hills, beautiful views, plus two great state parks (Odlin and Spencer Spit) that have wonderful sandy beaches. The Islander Lopez Resort is a great place for dinner or docking your boat. Prior to our arrival, Nola was responsive to answer questions, and the check in process was simple. Once there, we confirmed the home had an incredible view so getting into the island spirit was easy. We felt like the home had plenty of room to accommodate six adults. Plus, it had all the supplies we needed. No person complained that the house didn't have "this or that" and we cooked a couple of nights. I think you will be happy to book this home, just like we were.

Great location on Lopez. We biked to a few different beaches and enjoy lyes the view from the house. The fields were beautiful to celebrate the spring for Easter. The house had everything you might need and had more than enough room for two families. Thanks for a great stay!

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Appreciated responsiveness of host when there was an issue with the downstairs heat throwing a breaker. Wifi was easy to connect to although outside connection seemed a bit spotty at times. View is phenomenal. House is very private.

vey nice stay oh, Thursday night a loud buzz or grinding sound came from the heat vent near the dining table and lasted for maybe 20 seconds until we turned the thermostat down (it was at about 60 degrees). Later we turned the heat on and there were no new sounds Thursday and Friday, we left on Friday afternoon.

This is the second time we've booked the house for a weekend of riding around the island. Spacious house to fit all five of us, superb location with a beautiful view and one of the most affordable rentals on the island. Plan on coming back again next year.

Nice views and a great location, but the cleanliness was questionable. Dishes were not clean and cabinets were sticky. The biggest problem was the strong odor in the basement level. We opened up the windows and tried to air it out, but only had limited success. It made sleeping difficult and all of our clothing absorbed the odor. At time it just smelled musty, and other time it smelled of urine. Not a pleasant stay

The house was clean and in great shape with an incredible view. The property is private and has plenty of space for outdoor activities. The home is in a good location, close enough to town to be convenient but far enough away to remain private. Very happy with our stay and would love to stay there again.

This house and the entire property is so beautiful! It was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The view was absolutely wonderful too. We stayed for 5 days and had a wonderful time exploring Lopez Island. We will absolutely be staying here again in the future. The homeowner (Nola) has done an excellent job making her house an ideal place to stay for one's vacation!

We loved this property! Big beautiful house! Close to everything but set back on a large lot with plenty of privacy. Very spacious. We loved sitting on the large deck for meals, watching the wildlife on the property, and watching the ferries go by. Had great communication with the owner. Will be back for sure!

This property is everything advertised and the photos are accurate. Plenty of bedrooms and big beds. It is very well stocked with kitchenware and outdoor grills which is important because there are not a lot of dining options on the island. Unlike some short term rentals with lightweight budget furnishings, the furniture is substantial and comfortable. The view of the bay is great and we enjoyed walking out on the peninsula and renting bikes from Village Cycles. We bought pellets for the Traeger grill at Lowe’s on the mainland and our brisket turned out great! The host was very responsive and we would definitely recommend her place.

Our stay on Lopez Island at Nola's house exceeded every expectation that we had. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. The view was absolutely incredible. We could have just stayed on the deck the whole time and been perfectly content. It was easy to find. The beds were comfortable as was all the other furnishings. When we come back to the San Juan Islands, we will definitely try to stay here. Thank you for providing an amazing home base for our family vacation!

My mom, sisters and I had a great getaway! This was our inaugural Girls Trip…No husbands, no kids…drank wine, watched movies, played Yahtzee and enjoyed each other’s company! We laughed, cried and just relaxed all weekend. It was the perfect stay. We all would love to do it again!

This was a great property for our family vacation. Beautiful views, nice yard for playing soccer etc., deer in the field and eagles in the trees with a wonderful view of the water. On a private road so very quiet and no traffic. Kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed this house where we could all get together.

We all had such a wonderful time exploring Lopez Island driving, biking, and hiking to some really fun beaches. The little ones up to the oldest enjoyed being outside as much as possible, playing basketball, washers, sitting by the fire pit, badminton, and running around just having fun and enjoying the incredible scenery all day and especially the evening watching the sunset. There was so much to do…….the TV was never mentioned! Nola was very attentive to anything we asked. All in all it was a great vacation that all 12 of us enjoyed

We had a wonderful stay at Nora’s beautiful home. It has everything you need plus more. The view and deck are perfect for a relaxing vacation. I have been coming to Lopez for over 40 years as we have family that live here. I will stay here again when we come back. It’s close to the Marina and village. Thank you for a excellent stay…only problem is it wasn’t long enough!!

We enjoyed our stay for the most part, but since the house sleeps 12, we wondered why only about 2.5 of us could take a hot shower??? Cleaning service needs to give attention to the bugs and dirt under and behind couches. In spite of these few negative things, we did enjoy our stay. The view from the living room overlooking the bay is spectacular! It is a peaceful and cozy get away.

We arrived in the evening and had just finished dinner when there was a power failure. It looked like it affected much of the island and it was very windy outside. The power came back on at midnight - a good thing as it was quite cold in early March. The next morning we were able to appreciate the beautiful scenery surrounding the home, the eagles, the view of the water in the distance. My husband hiked to the spit which we could see from the house. The home itself was very clean and well-equipped with everything we needed.

We loved it!

It was our first time visiting Lopez Island and we had a great time here. The house was cozy, there was plenty of sitting room for everyone in both the dining and living room, and the views were gorgeous. The property was expansive and our children could explore without us running into any issues. The landscaping was also immaculate. The linens were clean, there were plenty of towels, beds were comfortable, and there were blankets everywhere. Be sure to bring butter, or oil if you plan on cooking. There is a small variety of spices, but we didn’t use them because we brought our own. We felt safe and relaxed here. The host was also quick to respond to my messages before our stay. We will stay here again in the future! We really loved it.

My wife and I enjoyed our first time visiting Lopez Island and the greater San Juans. The view is even more breathtaking than can be shared in photos. The house itself is quite dated, but charming in a weekend at grandma’s type atmosphere . The house was clean and quite large, although we only used the upper floor as it was only the two of us. If you stay here, make sure and read the book the owner has left on the side table in the living room. It provides a history of the property and the family who settled in the area. I really enjoyed learning of how and why people settled there, and the interesting anecdotes of life on the island in the early 20th century.
