About this house rental
Baywatch Kingscote is a newly completed [January 2018] 6 star energy-efficient, 3 bedroom, self-contained holiday home, centrally located on the esplanade at Kingscote. Simply stroll across the road for easy beach access. The property boasts a large outdoor deck with 180 degree water views which can also be enjoyed from the kitchen and living areas. Bedding configuration consists of two Queen bedrooms [one with ensuite with double shower heads] and a 3rd bedroom containing 2 single-sized bunk beds [sleeping 4] and a cot. The kitchen has a 450 litre bottom-mount fridge/freezer, 900mm electric stove and gas cook top, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and kettle. There is a large TV with DVD player and DVD library, an 8 person dining table, highchair, and two large lounge suites complete the living area. The laundry is equipped with both a washing machine and dryer. Detergents for handwashing, dishwasher and washing machine are supplied. Outside you have access to a clothes line, BBQ and fish-cleaning table. Complimentary coffee, tea, sugar, bath/shower soap are also supplied. Wi-Fi is available at the property. With ample off-street parking and being close to all that Kingscote has to offer [pubs, restaurants, bakery, take-away food shops, chemist, Drakes Foodland, tidal swimming pool, local jetty and the famous pelican feeding] this is an ideal place to base your Kangaroo Island adventure from. Smoke free, no pets. Laundry/cleaning costs are included in the rental fees, no additional charges apply. Good, clean, tidy.. plenty of room, even had a hairdryer in each bathroom, iron, full laundry facilities..

As written in the visitors book by various guests there are several safety features which need urgent action. There needs to be a handrail to the steps to help people with mobility issues access the sliding door. There should also be a balustrade around the front deck, The entry to both the bathrooms has a tripping hazard which should be attended to even with some yellow tape.

Located close to the centre of Kingscote, perfect position to explore the island. Very quiet.
Baywatch Beach House with water views from the deck is a lovely short walk into the township along the esplanade pathway.
Dinning, lounge and kitchen is open plan. Comfortable and clean lounge with heaps of room for small to larger families.
Kitchen has gas top and electric oven great to work on. Small milk in fridge on arrival for that first cup of tea.
Beds and pillows are very comfy.
We loved our stay here and would highly recommend. KI is a great spot to explore. Owners are very welcoming and have set up the perfect house for an island getaway.

This is a great property centrally located and within walking distance to the town center if you are inclined to walk. Spacious and well appointed. Fans were a big plus as air conditioning is centrally located in main bedroom and living room. All the cooking hardware you need. Would have been nice to have just a few spices (onion, seasoned, or garlic salt/powder) and some condiments that don’t spoil but that’s a really minor thing. Really appreciated having the sandwich bags and plastic wrap.
Sitting out on the deck in the evening to have dinner was wonderful.
Loved the property and responsiveness of Andrew. Highly recommended. Thanks for the hospitality.

Lovely stay, beautiful views and very clean property
Just needs another chopping board for group cooking & larger quilt on the bed closest to the living area my feet were hanging out.

A convenient and picturesque location by the bay with everything a family needs for a comfortable stay. Even washing powder for some clothing rescue after a hard day's sand-boarding! A pleasant walk into town for supplies.
Also, sweet-tasting tapwater, which was an unexpected bonus!

Baywatch is just lovely . It has all the comforts of home in a relaxed setting . If you want beach, sand & water views , you have it in front of you . Close to supplies & a great location to use as a base while on the Island . Definately would choose to stay again if coming to KI

The beach is across the road and is beautiful. We went there every chance we had. The home has a well-equipped kitchen and a BBQ. The bedrooms are spacious, quiet and comfortable. The location is great for getting into the town centre and for exploring Kangaroo Island. We are planning to come again for a longer stay.

All the perks of a new property - spotless, full laundry, very comfortable sofas and beds etc, easy access bathrooms, and heaps of space. Good size deck. Felt v safe in the house too. Lovely owner responded immediately when I couldn’t work out how to use the window locks. 10/10 recommend.

Third bedroom is fitted out with bunk beds which fortunately we did not have to use. The house is close to shops, restaurants, coffee shops and pubs. You must try the Queeney hotel for a meal, fantastic. The owner was very approachable and I would recommend the house to anyone for a great holiday. Did I mention that the beach is right across the road!

Convenient and comfortable
I really enjoyed staying at Baywatch for a few days visiting Kangaroo Island. The house is a convenient 5 minute drive into Kingscote, is quiet, has a lovely outlook on a bay, is well equipped, has plenty of room and is very comfortable - everything you could ask for for a great place to base yourself on Kangaroo Island.

We had a lovely stay at Baywatch being able to sit in the lounge and watch the water was lovely.
