The cabin was cozy. Super quiet. Lots of room ! However, the recreation areas listed aren't actually for the public and they are located over 2 miles away from the cabin itself anyways. We had a lot of children with us so we were looking forward to having somewhere for them to play and swim. The power also went out and we had to check out early.

No response to our problems. No second key. No reliable hot water. Non working dryer. Inaccurate lock box description, inaccurate description about the steep incline one lane parking for four cars, this house should change their description or they should not be listed.

Beautiful, affordable spot to see some snow while avoiding Tahoe-Omicron crowds. It's a short trip to Spicer Sno-Park and Bear Valley, and minutes to Calaveras Big Trees State Park, all of which we enjoyed. Better equipped for people who actually cook than most every other house we've rented (i.e. Dutch oven, sharp knives, and mercifully a non-Keurig coffeemaker AND pour over Melitta pour over cup). It's a great value, as there is a lot of sleeping room for large groups. We LOVED the firm mattress in the east-facing master; the other main adult bedroom has a slightly softer one, so there's probably a fit for everyone. Great showers (temperature and water pressure) and excellent, very powerful wood stove. We'd love to return with friends.

This property was being managed by Vacasa. Which had terrible customer care. From the get go Dryer was broken, which if you go to the snow your clothing is going to get wet. I placed several calls to Vacasa to see if they can take care of the issue. The local Vacasa management team made poor excuses then flat out ignored my calls. The weekend of our stay had record snow fall levels. Cabin had no shovels or any tools to help clear out snow from entry way. I had to go down to Arnold to purchase a shovel at $60. That was after I had to call AAA to help pull out my 4x4 Jeep from the steep driveway. Later in our stay several trees fell and road to Camp Connell which shut us out of the cabin we had to stay in Arnold for 2 days. There was no internet service and on and off power for 2 days. I called Vacasa to try to get help retriving sme of our property from the cabin. I was then threatened by the Vacasa rep that if we did not remove our belongins we would be charged a lost and found fee on top of the cost to ship out our things back home. Luckily the road opened for one day and we were able to get our stuff. we ended up leaving 2 days early. Warning do not book any properties managed by Vacasa, They are just there to take your money. Property is not well maintained, equipment is old and not working. And worse of all if you are left in a dangerous situation they leave you to fend for yourselves and will take additional money if given the opportunity to do so. Also cabin floors are old and very loud, Hot water runs out quickly, Dryer does not work, No shovels or tools to remove snow. Very bad and rude customer care.

Good location but small home and small kitchen. Parking was an issue.
