I visited for a quick retreat, and picked this cabin because of its proximity to Calaveras Big Trees State Park. The cabin is as-described: good kitchen, comfortable beds, nice views. If you stay here, check out the South Grove trail, it's the best in the park (and it you're here for multiple days, save that trail for last).
I am very glad I read the reviews. I saw another reviewer's warning about the driveway. If you rent here, arrive before dark, seriously. I got in fine because I came in the afternoon, but navigating this Z-shaped driveway after dark would have been dicey. A photo of it in the ad would be nice.
All in all, a quiet, clean, well-appointed space in one of the prettiest spots in California! Had a nice time.

Enjoyed dinner on the patio with the great Forrest all around. The beds were comfy and the showers were awesome. The house had everything we needed. Definitely would stay here again.

This was our second time staying at this cabin. Very cozy and the perfect size for our family. The kids loved the rope swing and hiking down to the creek. Has everything you need for a quiet getaway surrounded by forest. Close enough to town, quick drive to Calavaras and the beautiful scenic ride to Bear Valley.

I loved this cabin. It’s got a very warm wooden feel to it. I loved the fireplace. The kitchen was easy to use.
The driveway is quite steep and I can’t imagine how anyone could drive up it when there’s snow or ice on it. Thankfully, the snow had mostly melted at that elevation when I arrived. But a short drive up the mountains towards Bear Valley provided lots of snow to enjoy.

We stayed there for a few nights and had a great time. The cabin was clean, and spacious. The view from the deck was awesome and he grill made the experience even better. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows very soft. The only thing to complaint about is the downstairs shower and sink don't drain properly and it needs fixing. Other than that our experience was very good and will be staying there again.

We liked the cabin. It was well supplied/equipped, the local team was readily available. It is about a 35min drive to Bear Valley - we would book again.

Great back deck looking over miles of forest. 3 cozy bedrooms. The driveway entrance was terrifying.

We loved our stay at this cabin! Used to visit Blue Lake Springs as a kid and was wonderful to share with my kiddos! The Stiles cabin was so cozy and charming! Loved seeing the pics on the walls of the building process! Overall we loved our stay and can’t wait to return in winter to visit Bear Valley to ski!

The place is perfect for a week end get away. Everything we needed and felt clean and comfortable. Only issue was the broken toilet seat and the drive was difficult to access.

Cabin itself is cute and access to HOA pool for fee made it ok BUT… the furniture is filthy, the cabin was dirty, sheets dirty, in summer the cabin is VERY warm, the driveway was super steep requiring you to back into it to insure you can get out, outside area isn’t kept up (random stuff like shovels/sleds/tarps/coolers/dirty rug/ dog poop/ random furniture/ sketchy stuff no unsafe stairs, etc.).
If your expectations are set accordingly you can enjoy the cabin.

What a wonderful little cabin. Beds are comfy and warm. Very clean and tidy. If I owned this cabin I would update the living room furniture and have safer chairs at the table.
Games and puzzles missing pieces, time to update the games.
These are all very simple fixes.
We will return none the less.

Nice outdoor deck surrounded by trees. Disappointed in accomodations i.e. propane for BBQing low to empty when tried to cook the first night and grill dirty and not been cleaned, outdoor furniture cushions old, dirty, worn, torn. Spent over an hour upon arrival taking all outdoor covers off and setting up outdoor furinture to be able to enjoy the deck. We were surprised that this was not set up for a planned arrival. Glad I brought beach towels- we used to cover the cushions to sit on. Disappointed with the cleaniness of the Indoor carpet- it had multiple dark stains- looked like pet accident stains, rocking chair arms dirty and old, couch dirty, pet hair. Ironic that the sign at the door requests you to remove your shoes indoors. We didn't feel comfortable NOT to wear shoes on carpets. Kitchen, bathrooms, linens, towels very clean. The empty propane tank replaced the 2nd afternoon upon request. Driveway to property is very narrow with careful parking and backing up. We were glad we came in summer as this would be hazardous during the winter if there was snow and ice. We spent most of all our time on the outdoor deck, which was quiet and serene with exception of loud distance music played by neighbors on Saturday night.
Overall, we made the best of it and enjoyed the trees, but we would not go back for the expense of the rental.

Close family, from Spain were in town for the holidays and we wanted to share our love for the Sierra Nevada in Arnold. We have stayed at this cabin before. It is a very cozy place to be, especially when the weather is less than desirable! It comfortably slept 4 of us and a baby. There is enough room for 7 however. Full bath and a King bed option upstairs is awesome. Cabin is just a short drive to downtown Arnold. Bring your own firewood to this cabin, as it is not provided. If you go up in the winter, make sure you have a 4 wheel drive, or carry chains because the driveway is steep. Enjoy!!

I loved how clean the cabin was and I loved how is in the middle of the woods.

Cute and comfortable. Was a bit warm without air conditioner. Information on how to access the trash container would have been helpful. Twin beds have dangerous frame sticking out.

The property management was unresponsive to issues we had during our stay. They did not leave the pool information although a pool and private lake are advertised.

Absolutely great property. We have been coming up to the Mountains for 20+ years and this was one of the most memorable stays. Great accommodations and amenities.
Comfortable, cozy and exceptionally clean! We will be back! We highly recommend this cabin for your Arnold stay.

Stiles mtn hideaway had everything we needed for a comfortable retreat to the woods. We loved waking up to the forest dappled with sunlight and sipping our morning beverages on the patio, listening to nature and just relaxing. It was fun to take the short drive to Arnold and Murphy's, as well as check out Big Trees and a rim trail that wasn't far away. Would definitely recommend and come back for another visit! Thanks so much for sharing your lovely cabin!

Lovely Cabin
We loved the house and location! The fireplace and wood was really nice, and the tables and chairs on the deck were comfortable. We appreciated the swing and and the sleds that our kids were able to use. The only minor complaints are that there was very little toilet paper, just barely enough to get through our stay, and no extra garbage bags at all. We texted about these items too and never heard back. But overall we loved the house and really enjoyed the stay.

Filthy place. Covid Cabin
Filthy carpet and furniture. Chair broken in front room. Duvet cover on my bed not washed. Wash door won’t close. Outside deck seating had coffee spill marks still from previous occupants. Do not use this company!!!!!!!!

Great for winter, not summer
Nice cute cabin in the woods. Might be great for winter, not so much in the summer. No A/C at all. I misread that when renting. It was 91 degrees in the house when we got there at 10:20 pm at night. It was miserable. House was dirty, carpets were nasty.

Beautiful Mountain Views
We had a fantastic time. The cabin looks out on endless Pine tree forest. There was a large deck that gave plenty of space for my twins and sisters twins to play and still be within our sight. It was exactly what we needed to unwind and enjoy nature.

Stiles Getaway
This cabin is so nice and quiet! It was nice to relax on the deck and listen to the birds!!
The driveway can be tricky, especially at night! Hard to see! But once you know when to go real slow and look for it, then no issues!
The cabin was very clean, with the exception of the carpet! Really has a lot of big stains!

Perfectly equipped and quiet
Located on a more travelled road, but you'd never know it. Private deck, perfect amount of sun and sharde, excellently equipped with everything you need for a night or a month and plenty of space once inside.

Beautiful cabin in the trees
Beautiful cabin, in a peaceful area surrounded by trees. Fast reliable internet if you need to work, and a nice deck to sit outside and enjoy the scenery.
Only negative was the cleaning hadn't been done very well when we arrived, but the owners/manager fixed that the next day.
Would definitely stay there again.

Nice little cabin in the woods
Cute little cozy family cabin. Obviously has been well loved by the owners and was fun to explore the books and nooks in it. Updated bathrooms were great.

Comfy cottage in the woods
The house and property were lovely. However, I booked the cottage/house specifically for the wood-burning fire place. When we arrived after check in (4:00 p.m.) by the time we unpacked and began to start the fire place, there were NO matches, NO starting logs, NO paper. I was extremely disappointed that I could not build my anticipated fire!! We did not have ANY cell phone reception. We were never told only Verizon works in Arnold. The landline phone that is in the house DID NOT work at all. The house was lacking instructions on where to put the garbage (NO instructions whatsoever) There were no coffee filters for the coffee pot. I had to use paper towels. There needs to be more attention to details with the amenities. The property management company came over to give fire place supplies and fix the television, connected the landline phone. We had a great visit in Arnold. It snowed and the view from the beck is beatiful.
