Our stay started off a little stressful. Our flight was delayed so we didn't get in until 11pm. We used Ways (which is always pretty accurate) to navigate the island but the address given on listing was different. I had to dig deep in the app to find the correct address. The surrounding area is not well lit so it took us a while and lots of circles to find the place.
The open concept was perfect for our group. The master upstairs has it's own ensuite and the other two rooms share a bath. Since we a couple traveling with a small family this provided the privacy we needed.
The pool was great. The neighbors were not there so we had it to ourselves.
The location was great. Generally a 4 min drive to nice beach and amenities. The house handbook was very helpful with beach and restaurant info.
We had a few hiccups. The pillows are in need to replacement. Their time is up! One of the cabinet doors fell off it's hinge but Paulette fixed it the next day. One air conditioner was not working when we got there but Paulette fixed it the next day. The air con's are all different so it was hard to figure them out. The air con in the master only worked on one setting so I was up 4-5 times a night turning it on and off. We were aware of electricity fees and tried to be mindful. It still cost over $200 BBD for the week. Seems a bit much when we didn't run A/C so much. We did cook a few times and ran the washer/dryer a few times. Would stay again.

This was a fabulous property that catered for all the needs of our party (4 adults, a 3 year old and a 10 month old infant) and was excellent value for money. The ability to simply step outside onto the patio and into a wonderful swimming pool was just sublime.
Paulette, who came to clean and look after the property, was first class.
The location was quiet and easy to get to (excellent directions from the property manager) but you really do need your own transport if you want to get about. We had many trips to nearby Holetown and visited other parts of the island, always returning to a welcoming 'holiday home'.

The property is well maintained to a high standard, the pool is delightful, the villa is well equipped for both indoor and outdoor activities.
3.0 / 5.0
The Villa was lovely and overall we enjoyed our stay.
Just a few things that should be addressed by owner or property manager, the pool was extremely dirty and the jacuzzi didn’t work the pool company came once during our time, they were told to give the pool a good clean by us and did not.
The beds were not the most comfortable master bedroom was extremely hard and I like a firm mattress
and the couch in living room was not comfortable to sit on and low if you have bad knees hard to get up from! They really should replace some of the furniture.

Pros: location, spacious, comfortable beds, nice pool, quiet, felt safe (good security system). Very comfortable place to stay! Nice pool towels provided.
Good value for the price!!
Cons: clarity of listing; surplus charges for electricity - we always turned off AC when not in a room yet electricity was quite costly. Keep in mind- if you're using the washer and dryer or turning on the water heater for dishwasher or a shower - electricity costs apply!! Guest responsibility for household supplies was unclear.
A more detailed guest book would be helpful re: communication and guest responsibilities.
Pool Lights did not work - safety issue with young kids.
Limited number of towels.
I would recommend renting a car as there are no ammenitites within reasonable walking distance.
There is a nice market very close by on Sundays.
Enjoyed our stay. Would recommend.

This is the second time we have stayed at Dairy Meadows. Once again great communication from start to finish. The villa has everything you need and it is in a safe quiet part of the West coast. Thank you Dee and Fernanda for delivering a great service!!! We will be back for sure!

The property is spacious and clean. Communication with Dee (Owner) & Fernanda (property manager) was excellent. Even though it’s a little out of the way it was quite noisy with constant motorbikes on the nearby fields! The pool is huge and clean even though it looks a bit dirty! The spa in this pool wasn’t working. Also if you’re a sun worshiper this isn’t the place for you as you don’t get much sun around the pool and patio areas during the day! There’s limited space around the pool to put the sunbeds, but there’s some beautiful beaches down the hill so we didn’t bother with the pool much! Overall I’d recommend the Villa, but a car is a must 👍

Dee's property is superb. Thanks for a wonderful stay ! Location tucked away on the edge of Sandy Lane Golf Course. Superb for early morning strolls. The excellent Pool area offers all you need for those relaxing, stay at home days. All in all, thoroughly recommended.
Thanks again Dee, we'll be back.
Best wishes

Residence was gorgeous, well maintained, the pool was perfect for night swims every evening. Dee was very quick with communication and extremely friendly. Couldn't be in a nicer or more convenient location. Extended our stay quickly and with absolutely no issues. Can't recommend this place enough!!!

Nice property. Air conditioner worked well in every room and cooled down room quickly. Pool is beautiful. Saw one monkey on the fence in the morning. Dinner at Holetown was only an 8 minute drive and centrally located to get anywhere else on the island within 30 minutes. Nice place to come back to in the evenings after a long day at the beach

We had a great time here with our family, 3 children 18+. The house was beautiful and the pool was big and clean. We enjoyed ourselves for three weeks. It is advisable to rent a car because it is quite remote from shops and supermarkets and the like.

We had a wonderful time in Barbados! The beautiful home is in a very nice neighborhood on the west side of the island. It is close to beaches , shopping and restaurants. Our host Dee was very responsive and accommodating.

The house is very big, and lovely. Fernanda (the property manager) was wonderful. Met us at check in, gave us her number, and responded to all problems quickly. Example: I lost the key to the travel lock on my suitcase and texted her to find out if there were tools in the house. There were not, but she sent out a handy man the same day to remove the lock. Above and beyond what she needed to do, and much appreciated.
Downsides: I agree with what other reviewers have said. There is not a lot in walking distance. The water from the tap never gets properly hot. The jets on both the outside jacuzzi and the the tub in the master bath don’t work.
Upsides: The house is gorgeous and huge. The pool is wonderful. Most of the dive shops and at least one rum distillery tour will pick you up so you don’t necessarily need to drive anywhere. There are some outstanding restaurants nearby. If you want to see the whole island, just about anywhere is less than a 30 minute drive from here.

This villa was so much more than expected - felt at home instantly. It is clean and bright and has everything you could possibly need in a home away from home. The living area, kitchen (fully equip) and the 3 bedrooms are so spacious. The bedrooms all had walk-in closets and the bathrooms had huge showers. The outside area with BBQ was lovely, and the pool is amazing (pity the Jacuzzi wasn't working when we were there). Fernanda and Dee were both great with regards to communication. I would recommend a car as the villa. although in a a nice location, is not exactly close to the main hub of Payne's Bay. I highly recommend this villa as it has everything you would need for your stay.

Amazing Home
Dee and Paulette are amazing, they communicate with their clients very well. The house and pool are wonderful, it has everything you need. As stated before you should hire a car to take you around the island, especially to go to Oistens fish fry on Friday nights. I would also suggest you shop for groceries at Cost U less, prices are really good, and not far from the house. Everything you need is quite close.
Thank you Dee & Paulette for helping us make beautiful family memories!

Lovely big property with great pool
Had a very relaxing week here
Everything one needed in the house, as well as a superb 20 metre long shared pool.
We always had the pool to ourselves.
Only gripe was the TV was a little difficult to use although we did manage to to get Netflix and the sofa is in need of replacing.
Not really close to anything so a car, local bus or taxi is needed.
Other than that fantastic place and would recommend.

Perfect family holiday
We had a wonderful 2 weeks at Dees place. The pool is huge (20m) and we pretty much had it to ourselves. The kitchen has everything we needed and there’s a great bbq which we used many evenings and sat outside to eat. It’s about a 20min walk down the hill to Payne’s bay so you do really need a car but there’s an easy place to park just by the garage. There’s a fabulous farmers market next door at holders hill polo club every sun, we went twice. The house is nicely but sparsely furnished which was great for us with youngish children as there was lots of space and very little that was breakable! We would def return.

Great stay at this cracking property
From the point of booking to our departure both Dee and Fernanda were there for our every request. The property is in a very safe area with no worries regarding security etc. The wonderful beaches and restaurants on the west coast are minutes away. The pool area is great and the bedrooms and living spaces are perfect too. I would highly recommend this property! The cleaner (who’s name I forget) was very helpful and did a great job for us. Many thanks to all and I hope to see you again soon.

Perfect family property, loads of room and high quality finish. Great location. Property owner very attentive and helpful . We visit Barbados every year and this is a property we will definitely return to 😊

Great location but needs some TLC
The house is lovely but the furniture downstairs is in need of replacing and lets the house down. The towels and linen where really good as were the beds.
The pool is not private as advertised, but it is lovely. When we stayed no-one was next door so we had it to ourselves. There are only 2 rather sad sun loungers. The agent did bring cushions which was a great help. Located near to Holetown and all the fantastic restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay.

Somebody tried to break in while we was there
The first night a stranger knocked on the door saying he needed help after that I had to prepare myself for whatever carbs days so I called the host and told her about the situation he said that never happens there and I asked about the alarm system she say yes it worked she said they would call her two days later me and my wife just got up 8:30 in the morning The alarm system we had set on stay went Off I told my wife to stay upstairs I ran downstairs prepare for battle the door that goes for the pool area was wide open somebody had to pull it open because I locked everything up that night but the locks were no good somebody was praying on us so the host told me she got the call from the alarm system she told him everything was OK without checking and see what we OK well before we got there we was in quarantine in a hotel for two days and she called me many times to see did we get our results back yet I told her no but she could call me when the alarm went off that was suspect so after I checked out the rest of the Rooms downstairs and make sure what your body hideing in one of them I went back upstairs I told my wife pack up we getting out of here so we had a check in a hotel I never do a villa again scared me and my wife both

Wonderful back yard and pool
Overall we enjoyed this property as it met the needs of our family. We all agreed the back yard and pool were by far the best features. The inside of the house, while good, is starting to show some wear & tear as a vacation rental. Also on the plus side the property manager and owner were responsive to our mid-stay comments, and the property manager even kindly found us on the way in and helped us find the home (our GPS was taking us close but into the middle of an adjacent field). Some reviewers have said you could walk to the beach - and we suppose you could given it is about 1 km to Paynes Bay Beach (which is worth a visit) but the road is generally absent sidewalks.

Great for price!
This property is really nice and spacious. Great location just a few minutes from Holetown. Pool was amazing and very clean! Was bummed that Jacuzzi didn’t work but enjoyed the pool and patio area daily. The much needed air conditioner worked great and kept us nice and cool during the day and at night. The property manager Rachel was super nice, gave us great info and suggestions as well as handled any issues that came up very quickly. Overall the property was pretty clean however the furniture could use an upgrade. Master bedroom and bathroom were huge and I loved the balcony overlooking the pool area.

A dream
Long story short - 10/10
The checkin process is very easy as there are keys in the lockbox. Still the property manager Rachel came to see us the first evening which was nice because she gives you tips about the surroundings. Location is brilliant, especially if you rent a car everything can be reached within minutes (shops, beach, restaurants downtown etc.) While driving around the golf course in the neighbourhood you can see lots of wild monkeys. The house itself is incredible, havent been to such place yet. It is so spacious and provides everything you need. And as mentioned in other reviews, although the pool is shared with the house next door we havent seen in a whole week single person there.
Wow thats probably the longest review i ever wrote but it just came out by itself, if youre seeking accommodation on the west coast you just found one you definitely wont regret.

Last minute trip
Our stay was great. The neighborhood was great and convenient to the grocery store and other attractions. Rachel, the property manager, was friendly and gave many great suggestions for dining. The house was spacious and inviting. My fee recommendations are to leave instructions for the tv with the wifi information, open the windows before occupation to air out the house and update some of the furniture and linens/towels. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back in July. Thank you Rachel and Dee.

I will definitely book this again, fabulous place with everything you need, we like to chill and this was the best ever

Amazing property
The house was spacious providing everything we needed located in a lovely area of Barbados. The beach was a short drive and roughly 10 minute walk with a petrol station and supermarket close by also. The pool provides a great environment for families due to being so spacious and private, despite the neighbour having access to the pool. We were able to use the pool privately our whole stay and would definitely 100% recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in Barbados. We shall be returning ourselves in the near future!

A Wonderful Property
The property was ideal for our family of five; plenty of space inside the property and a huge pool.
The pool was shared with the neighbouring property however that property was empty throughout our stay.
The Owner, Dee, was very responsive and the Property Manager. Rachel, was efficient and very friendly making sure that the check-in process was straight-forward and that we enjoyed our stay.
A 10 minute walk down to the Coast gives access to Paynes Bay, various restaurants and regular buses travelling both north and south.
Overall, we would highly recommend this property.

Dee’s property was so lovely to stay in. The check in was easy and Rachel gave us
Dee’s property was so lovely to stay in. The check in was easy and Rachel gave us Loads of advice on where to eat and a map etc.. we spent many days chilling by the pool and have a few movie nights in the spacious lounge, cooking in the fully equipped kitchen was a delight. Everything worked perfectly.
We didn’t hire a car and would just walk 10 mins down the hill and catch the local bus, which was so much fun as the music was playing and If you’re not sure where you’re going just ask, everyone in Barbados is so friendly, Payne’s beach is a 10 min walk. As is the Roti hut & Daphne’s for sunset cocktails. I would highly Recommend this place & we’ll definitely be coming back.

Beautiful home, perfect location
This is a beautiful home, in higher end subdivision. Our family of 5 stayed there for 9 days in April. The first thing my kids did was jump into the massive pool. Rachel, the property manager was there to greet us shortly after arrival and go through a few logistics. She quickly responded to our inquiries. The kitchen is well stocked with ample cookware, and there are lots of towels and linens on hand. Washer and dryer were handy and they even had a portable clothes dryer outside that was great for wet towels. We understand that a maid service is provided for extended stays. The hot tub wasn't functioning but nor was it promised in the description. Air conditioning is provided throughout the house and particularly in all bedrooms, making it comfortable for sleeping. It was nice to sit out on the upper balcony and watch the kids in the pool. Could even get a glimpse of the sunset from there! The unit is a duplex with a shared pool but we had it to ourselves the whole time. The house is located conveniently to amenities i.e., neighborhood bakery, ice cream shop, roti shop, grocery stores. It was just a short 5 – 10 minute drive away. We did not avail of public transit. We also felt it was well positioned, centrally located in Barbados, with the south coast (beaches, Oistins, St. and Lawrence Gap, and Bridgetown) (25min drive), Harrison’s Cave (15min), west coast beaches (3-20min), Holetown (5min). Other close amenities include the sandy lane golf course and a polo club. We have no reservations recommending this home and its owner to future renters. Enjoy Barbados!

Great property in a nice location just outside Holetown.
We had a great two week stay at this property. Although semi detached with a pool shared by both properties, the other property was unoccupied giving us private access to a very large and well maintained pool and pool area. The pool cleaners came twice while we were there.
The house itself was spacious, very clean and was part of a smallish development, within walking distance of the Sunday farmers market at the polo ground. Everything we needed was available - towels, kitchen equipment etc. It was handy to have a washing machine and drier available also. The cleaner came a couple of times over the two weeks and was excellent.
The property manager (Rachel) was very helpful and sorted out a couple of minor issues really efficiently.
Location was good - a walk to the shore was around 15 minutes, perhaps 40 minutes or so into Holetown itself. The drive was a couple of minutes into Holetown - the back road takes you straight to the supermarket and carparks in Holetown. Taxi journeys varied between 30 and 35 BBD one way.
The beach we used most was Paynes beach which was great and only a 5 minute drive away. Parking was very easy next to the petrol station. Bed and umbrella hire available and the Gazebo bar for good value lunch and beers.
Another good day out was the Animal Flower caves at the top of the island where you can swim in the caves.
We had fantastic meals out at Tides, Daphnes, Seacat and Nishis all within a 5 minute drive. Not so great at the Beach House. For early evening drinks (and takeaway pizzas) Zacchios is ideal.
On a couple of days we bought fish from the Fish Market which is near the bottom of Holders Hill and cooked back at the house. Great selection and good value.
We had great communication throughout from Dee the owner - very helpful

What a great stay at a great spot!!!
We just returned from 10 days at Dee & Steve's place...perfect location....quiet peaceful and yet minutes from Holders Hill Sunday farmer's market, the shops, restaurants and beaches. We loved having the pool to ourselves, the garden, the home was spacious and my 9 year old loved it! Any issues/questions and the property manager Rachel was on it...she is minutes away so helpful so kind! Dee was in touch to ensure we had all we needed! We loved the Boatyard Beach Park, the Animal Reserve, coastal drives, St. Nicholas Abbey and their new historic railway train. The views from Cherry Tree Hill are amazing as is the Morgan Lewis Windmill...all not far away. We even took in our 1st polo match a few minutes walk away! Our last dinner was at the Roti Den.....yum and good staff! Brought home lots of yummy Bajan hot sauces to keep my fond memories fresh! Head to a Jordan's Grocery Store for the best selection! Also if you hit the Speightstown Jordan's store about 5:15pm you can sit on the rocks and watch the best sunset ever as their parking lot faces the sea! Bajans are so good, so kind and warm! Can't wait to go back....thank you all!
