About this apartment rental
Westhaven 303S One Bedroom Studio with bathroom and kitchenette is a part of the full Westhaven three bedroom apartment within the Sky Lodge complex located next to the Binna Burra Mountain Lodge.
Westhaven is the top floor of the Groom Lodge building of the complex (third building from the top of the hill) comprising the separately keyed and rented:
• 303A Two Bedroom Apartment - with two bathrooms, kitchen, lounge, gas fireplace, laundry facilities, BBQ and NBN satellite access; and
• 303S One Bedroom Studio - with bathroom, kitchenette, gas fireplace, BBQ and NBN satellite access
If guests require more space than Westhaven 303S One Bedroom Studio, they can consider renting the Westhaven 303A Two Bedroom Apartment as separately listed on Stayz - or, if needing still more space or wanting the privacy of occupying the entire top floor of the Groom Lodge building, consider renting both 303S and 303A together.
Westhaven looks north with panoramic views over the hills of the Beechmont Plateau and Tamborine Plateau towards Brisbane. The tallest Brisbane city buildings can be seen on a clear day, and their lights on a clear night. The view can be spectacular during summer, and sometimes winter, during thunderstorms, watching the lightning strikes on the plateau.
The north east view includes the volcanic rock formations of Egg Rock, Turtle Rock and Ship's Stern. Further to the east can be seen the northern end of the Gold Coast with its high rise accommodation towers.
Westhaven is totally surrounded by the World Heritage listed Lamington National Park. Over 150 km of walking tracks can be directly accessed from Westhaven - with no need to get back in the car once you arrive.
Choose from a number of half day or full day walks in Lamington National Park.
The park vegetation varies from mostly subtropical rain forest containing pockets of ancient Antarctic beech trees, to open eucalyptus forest and heath land. Walk past caves and cliff faces. Go bird watching and look for native fauna, including wallabies and koalas. You may see a Lamington Crayfish in a stream, only found in this area.
Enjoy a spa bath after a walk. Then cook and enjoy a meal on the balcony with the BBQ. Or cook and stay warm inside, with the gas fireplace.
Visit the country towns of Canungra, Beechmont or Tamborine Mountain - with their surrounding wineries, restaurants, cafes and gift shops.
Usual travel times are 45 minutes to the Gold Coast and 90 minutes to Brisbane.
Visit the local market - the Beechmont Market on the 3rd Sunday morning of every month, near the roundabout at the start of the Binna Burra Road.
Visit other nearby National Parks, such as Springbrook National Park (including the Natural Bridge section in the Numinbah Valley and Tamborine National Park.

What a great place to unwind. Loved the location. Studio was spotless and well stocked with what you need. Binna Burra was not busy at all which was great. Host Mark was very helpful and allowed us to check in early and leave late which was meant a lazy sleep in. Overall 5/5 will definately return to do a few more bigger walks

We had such an amazing Easter weekend staying here. Got several iconic day walks completed and had dinner at the Teahouse on 2 of the nights, which was also excellent. Was thrilled to see Grooms Cottage converted to a bar and historical reading room - a chilled local cider is just what you need after a 5-hr walk!

Beautiful Place, host went above and beyond
The space is beautiful, well kept, clean and private. Close to the rest of Binna Burra lodge for eating/walks, far enough away to feel like we were all alone. Our host was very accomodating and even went out of his way to help us with some lost property after we were gone. Thankyou, we will definitely return!

Beautiful Binna Burra
A lovely little studio overlooking the amazing Numinbah Valley. Could have sat on the deck and watched the view with the clouds and birds all day. Great access to the National Park and lovely to see Binna Burra back in business.
