We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful house.
Everything and anything you could need was supplied in abundance. We enjoyed spending time on the deck and walking the grounds. The location was perfect. Very close to everything. We will rent again.

We loved that the family has been coming to this home for generations. The trails through the woods, the quiet deck and secluded location all added to our delightful stay. We are booked again in October for "leaf peeping"!

The house was everything it was billed to be. Quiet, yet close to everything. Beautiful grounds. House well equipped. Had a wonderful time.

Wonderful old house with character, great beds, great fireplace, good kitchen (missing only a 9x13 baking dish - but we made lasagna in a round baking dish)!
We walked by the river in Great Barrington, visited the old courthouse/library/gallery in Lenox and walked Lenox in the rain then warmed up at delicious cafe Shots. It was just a long weekend, but we plan to return so we can explore trails on property and visit more local sights. Appreciate the welcome book/visitors guide provided by owners! This place feels like family, and I love the protection of the land.

Wonderful, quiet place that we thoroughly enjoyed with our dog Pippa. Minutes from Stockbridge and Lenox, but you really don't have to go anywhere if you want to escape! The owners are uber friendly, and they have created just the coziest spot with everything one would need. We will be back!

This is my second visit to the Redway House. The homeowner's care and attention to detail surpasses all expectations. You are left wanting for nothing as they anticipate your every need. I thank them for sharing their lovely home with my family during the holiday season. I look forward to our next visit.

The house was immaculate and had everything we needed!
We walked the trails on the property and sat out on the spacious back deck!
This property is a treasure!

Our family stayed at the Redway House for a long weekend in October and couldn’t be happier that we did. We felt remote and isolated which was so nice and relaxing, but we were only a short drive to multiple towns and events. The house was clean and so well stocked with everything we could possibly need (linens, toiletries, kitchen items, etc). Would definitely recommend staying at The Redway House to anyone looking for a unique getaway in the Berkshires.

Wonderful house and property that evoke another time when things were (or at least seemed) more tranquil. Great access to all that the Berkshires has to offer. Dog loved it too!

We were impressed with the property, the house, and quaintness of the place. It was a well preserved, older home with charm to spare. Every detail was attended to including phone chargers, flashlights, cushions, comfortable chairs, kitchen appliances, everywhere you expected one might be.
We all agreed that we slept exceptionally well. It was convenient to both Tanglewood and Lenox, as well as Stockbridge and the Great Barrington area.
We would definitely return to this cozy retreat.

The Redway House is charming and the property is gorgeous. Tad and his family go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The entire house is fully stocked with perfectly clean bedding, incredibly comfortable pillows, and all outdoor essentials. The property is huge and impeccably maintained, and the lovely trails are a huge plus. Lanterns light up the walking paths at night, and the location makes for a perfect night sleep because you cannot hear a sound out here other than those of Mother Nature. I highly recommend staying at the Redway House because of everything I said above, but also because of the location. I'm from the Berkshires and have stayed in a lot of different rentals and areas, and this is by far the most convenient location if you are visiting South and North County. Oh, and I forgot to mention our dog Ralphie absolutely loved it here. He had so much fun on the trails and laying out on the beautiful deck. 10 out of 10 - would recommend!

Our family felt so welcome at the Redway House. Chris and the family have gone above and beyond to make this antique house comfortable for guests (including solo female travelers), providing everything you could possibly need for a getaway in the Berkshires and making it easy for us to simply enjoy our vacation. We'll definitely be booking again when we're next in the area!

This was our second time staying and the Redway House, and it certainly wont be our last!. The home is super comfortable and it had a ton of privacy, super quiet area, you just hear the birds chirping... but at the same time you are close to Lenox, Stockbridge and Great Barrington, so it's the perfect spot to day trip around without going far at all. Plus the hosts are stellar, the house is stocked, even w spare travel-size toiletries (nice touch!), and they are very responsive and accommodating. Thank you for a lovely stay! Michael & Stephen

This property has so much to offer. We enjoyed the hiking trails and house itself, which was the perfect set-up for two couples and two kids (11 and 14) plus a dog. And you are only a few minutes from the heart of Stockbridge, which offers so much. Highly recommend!

Quaint historic home in the center of everything
What a gorgeous house! We loved the trails, the beautiful large backyard, and how the house was situated in the middle of the woods. BUT drive only 2 minutes and you're at the heart of stockbridge. We enjoyed going to the museums, gardens, and various hikes in the area, as well as the local swimming lake.
The kitchen is wonderfully appointed with everything you possibly need. We did stay over a 95 degree weekend and the ACs were not set up yet, and the house got very hot quickly so we left the house early, but that was not through any fault of the home.
Beds and linens were very comfortable (minus the 95 degree weekend :) ) We enjoyed the cozy dens and deck as well.

RedWay All the Way!
Sometimes you need to really get away. You can do it in this charming old house, nestled in the Berkshire Forest on 100 acres. We had so much fun. We cooked. The organic markets are close and plentiful. Everything we needed to enjoy ourselves was provided. The most considerate hosts of any rental we have ever had. Come to the woods and have fun. Walk the onsite trails. Drink wine on the deck. We heartily recommend RedWay House as an antidote to this crazy world. Even though it is so close to Great Barrington, Tanglewood and everything. Have Fun!

Enjoyable stay at The Redway house
We really enjoyed our long weekend at the Redway house. Check in was simple and everything was very clean on arrival. The house itself is a charming antique home on a quiet road surrounded by natural beauty and the owners go above and beyond with little touches that make for a great guest experience. The walking trails and back deck overlooking the yard were our favorite parts of the property. Location is perfect too.

Beautiful house in great location
This trip was awesome because the owner was a great communicator. Please know that Tad/Jason are the contacts. Tad sent a pdf that had every detail imaginable for a superb stay at the house. The rooms were clean and the house was like a walk through time with lots to explore on the 100 acres including trails throughout.
The fireplace was amazing-beautiful and warm. The town of Lee had a cafe serving crepes and the town of Lenox had beautiful houses to explore. Interesting history in the Berkshires. I recommend this property and bring your warm layers for some great outings!

Non Starter
Upon entry the house was not clean and had an awful, gagging smell. When we tried open windows to air out the house the sills were filled with dead flies, moths and cobwebs.
The kitchen had no unusable space on either the counter tops or the cupboards for our provisions for a stay of two weeks. One of the bedroom closets allowed no space for clothes because it was totally filled with a bed, pillows and blankets.
Under the kitchen sink was especially unsanitary including a moldy, rusty dish rack and used latex gloves! Used food left in the refrigerator and freezer.
We tried to contact the property manager twice and on both occasions his voice mail was full.
To say the least we were extraordinarily disappointed. We left for home.

Book Now & Book Often
This spot is a real gem - an adorable, quirky and completely stocked house set on a knockout property of 100+ acres full of trails and bucolic solitude. After a weekend spent chasing after squirrels, chipmunks and anything else that moved in the woods, our mutt was as tired and happy as we've ever seen him. Big thank you to the family for sharing such a treasure.

Just perfect
We loved staying st the Redway House. A perfect combo of historical character and modern amenities, the house is very well-equipped and comfortable, as well as the right size for our family of four. The kitchen had everything you’d ever need, the bedrooms were well kept, and the deck was wonderful. The house is centrally located yet quiet and peaceful. The owner was responsive and helpful. We very much enjoyed our time in the Redway House and hope to stay there again.

Charming, quirky cottage features great bedding, modern kitchen appliances, and a really nice deck overlooking the backyard and woods. Three bedrooms, but only 1 and 1/2 baths, so be prepared to share. Located on a dirt road with 4 other houses, convenient to Stockbridge and many attractions.

As good as advertised
We had a wonderful time in this classic old house in a beautiful, quiet setting. Parts of the house are more than 250 years old, but have been renovated with all the modern conveniences we've grown to depend on, plenty of outlets, wifi, A/C etc. The hosts provided loads of useful information and really made us feel welcome. Our dog was super happy here also.

Stockbridge
House was clean and well stocked. There was only my wife and I so we just used the king bed which was comfortable. Baths were clean and plenty of towels. It was unfortunate that we visited during a 90F heat wave and the window air conditioner was ok for the bedroom but undersized for the first floor area

Property was charming and very well equipped, we had everything we needed. The welcome packet was thoughtful and very useful and there was a great deal of attention to detail throughout the house. Girl's weekend in Western MA
We had a wonderful stay at the Redway house in Stockbridge in October 2019. I stayed over a weekend with three friends and we went to Kripalu for the day. The property owners were very responsive and clear with instructions. The house was very clean and well organized. The owners even provided delicious cookies for us! The house is fully stocked with everything you will need. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay in this area.
