Queen room(double) was well equipped with towels, Toiletries (full size), mini fridge, hair dryer, full size mirror, iron and hangers (microwave and utensils available in the dining area). The entire room was clean and beds were comfortable with nice white crisp linens. Front dest staff was friendly both during daytime and late night. Room had a neat movable desk that was convenient. Very safe location near Lawrence Police Station, and great proximity to food chains and retail stores. Approx 15 min drive to Mass street.

Great location, close to restaurants and a Sprouts grocery store. The hotel accommodates travelers with pets. Nice room and a very comfortable bed. Big TV with plenty of channels.
Disturbingly loud air conditioning and no way to shut it off or quiet it down. No microwave or a coffee maker and the refrigerator in the room did not have a freezer compartment.

Location
Housekeeping had rude housekeepers, who refused us Service

Front desk lady was nice and the shower was hot. TV was nice.
Strong musty/mold smell throughout . I had to check out and didn’t even stay overnight the smell was so bad. Bed uncomfortable. Super thin linens. Loud tv around me but it had to be loud because the heater was so loud. It was way over priced. I will not be back and I will not recommend. Awful.

Handicaped room. Plenty of outlets tho unable to dim overbed lights or able to leave entry light on no drinking containers ie cups/ disposable glasses
See above. Just suggestions for improvement.

Rooms were really comfortable. Nice living area and bathroom size. Breakfast is also really good. Staff is super friendly. Really treat their guests right. Women working front desk were very outstanding.

Breakfast was excellent, bed was very comfortable.
When checking in the front desk lady double charged me. When I questioned her about it, she said it was for incidental and it'll refund at checkout. It didn't and now I have to wait 72hrs for them to figure out what happened and refund me

Pretty clean. Good location
Room was tiny. No closets. Poorly thought out. There was no place to put our clothes let alone our other things. It was extremely difficult to maneuver inside our room. The bed is the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. There were not enough outlets. Some of the outlets were broken or defective. The plugs would fall out of the outlets.

Clean, overall the staff was friendly.
I was charged $50 for my service animal. When I called back to ask about it, I was told that I needed to show them my pets papers (which is illegal for them to ask for).

Staff was so friendly!
The AC unit made an obnoxious rattling noise all night

Breakfast was typical "free breakfast" included at hotels - bacon, small omelets, yogurt, cereal, coffee. It was fine, nice to have.
No complaints - friendly staff, clean & comfortable stay, perfect location for what we needed.

Tyrie was very nice and he tried his best to help us but he was the only one there at the front desk.
We were in room 222 and our TV was not working. Long story short Tyrie at the front desk was the only one there and the weekend we stayed was the Taylor Swift concert and the Tru Hilton was booked. We were there for my granddaughters KU Volleyball camp. Since our TV did not work our whole stay Tyrie said his manager was going to give us a $40 credit to our hotel bill. I called 3 times and the manager kept saying that she would take care of our refund. We still have not gotten our refund.

Susan was a great help to us while there. The staff was really nice and the hotel/room was clean

Breakfast was okay
When we arrived at the hotel they did not have our reservation. I don’t know if it was a problem that was the fault of the hotel or a problem with Booking.com. The air conditioner was very noisy. The cleaning staff did not pick up dirty towel, clean up the bathroom, or make the bed. We also had to call to the hotel staff during the night because of the noisy people in the next room. They also had a game room in the lobby and that was extremely noisy.

I like the location and restaurant downtown
The room was not cleaned and I walk to Walmart to get supplies to clean my room just didn’t look clean and I asked for housekeeping to freshen up my room never came. I had to asked 3 times for washing cloths

Staff was friendly, hotel was very clean and cozy!
There is no vanity mirror to do your makeup :/ most hotels have it installed in the bathroom but this one did not.

Disappointed in the breakfast options. Room was a little small. Blinds where previously broke and not fixed.

location
We got in late and they had given our room away, couldn’t get two queen room unless we took one with broken shades that blocked light. A King size bed for 4 adults over 5’10” is not the same as two queen beds. I had booked two queen rooms several months in advance. It was a hassle at 11pm. My daughter had a volleyball tournament the next day. At $200/night it was expensive for what we got. The table between the beds was very narrow. the shower shel was falling off and mildew had gathered there. I will say that they weren’t planning on renting that room due to the condition. We were aware of the shade problem but agreed to take the room to get two beds. The lobby bathrooms were in disrepair. One was out of order and one had a cracked tank lid that was broken off in the floor.

Staff was friendly
We didn’t have any hand soap or body wash. There was hardly any toilet paper left and no available refills. There was hair all over in the bathroom. And we paid $300 a night!!! It was our daughter’s graduation, and we fill prices were raised knowingly due to graduation weekend. For the price we paid, everything should have been clean and stocked.

the air conditioner in the room was broken. I told the front desk about it the first night because I was so cold. they kept making promises and excuses and never got it fixed. finally the last night I asked for a portable fan and I finally got it. it was a miserable stay
The morning lady who worked the breakfast was also very rude. she came up to me and told me there was a 2 pancake maximum. just because I am a bit heavy I thought it was extremely degrading

The breakfast was good. The location of the hotel was in a good spot with plenty of restaurants and shopping around it. The room was nice and had everything in it that we needed for our stay. In all it was a decent experience and I would stay in another Tru, but would explore other options.
I had a wash cloth that was wet, that was folded in put in with the clean towels. This wash cloth was not mine. Wall paper was peeling off the bathroom walls. Towels were used to block a window leak in the dining room, and it looked like it had been there for a while. There was no toilet tissue in the lobby bathrooms. One of the toilets was leaking out of the wall water source and was being caught by a plastic cup.

The breakfast was great. The location was close to where our daughter works and lives.
The AC/heater was making a loud noise and the night light in the room was out.

Room way to small for price of room

Nothing
Filthy there was every type of hair all over the room. Bedding was stained, dead skin cells around edge of bed. TV had a white smeared coating all over it. Walls were so thin you could hear room next to you. They said they were going to comp a room at the Hampton, but charged me anyway. Terrible business. When I called back about the charge the manager Liz was extremely rude.
