About this house rental
This brand new beautiful 4500 sq. ft. lakefront home sits on Norris lake near the Cedar Creek Road jumping bridge landmark in the popular Lakeside Estates. The Norris Nook is tucked into the wooded mountainside facing the lake for a panoramic view of the mountains and water. Our house will be mirrored off our other property Waker’s Paradise but with a few upgrades.
This 3 story open floor plan lake house is a large group vacationers dream featuring 9 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms (each bedroom has own bath) with 3 half baths and sleeps 32. Features 3 full length 50-foot-wide decks (that s 1500 additional sq. ft. of living space for your enjoyment) all with beautiful lake and mountain views. A large kitchen & family room on the main floor, plus kitchenette with bar on the lower level. A laundry room & family room on the middle level. A 2 story private dock with covered slip, electric outlets, dock furniture and a slide! In addition, we have a dedicated parking. Free internet, long distance and cable.
The main floor features a vaulted ceilings, granite counter tops, double wall oven, 2 dishwashers, gas range, and 2 refrigerators. For dining, you’ll have 2 large tables and a large island/bar with additional seating. The large covered deck overlooking the lake has tables, chairs, and a large commercial grade gas grill for large groups. There are 2 bedrooms with King beds & 2 baths on the main floor. The master bedroom walks out onto the large top deck and has a private bathroom. Finally, there is also a family room with a large screen TV and 3 couches.
The middle level features a family room with a large screen TV and 2 couches. Two rooms on this level have King beds, a private bathroom, and one walks out to the large covered deck. Another room includes a King bed with Full size bunks and Jack and Jill bathroom. The other room has a Queen and Twin bunks. The laundry room which includes 2 dryers and washer is also on this level.
The lower level features a large rec room with a Ping Pong table, Billiards Table, Air Hockey, a kitchenette with refrigerator, sink, ice machine, a wet bar and a half bath. There is also a TV room for viewing, gaming, and relaxing, with 2 couches.. There are 3 bedrooms on this level, 1 being a bunk room (King bed plus a set of Full size bunk beds w/ pullout twin) with a private bathroom. Another room includes King bed with a private bathroom. The other room includes a Queen bed with Twin bunks and a private bathroom. The covered deck on this level features a lighted hot tub, with an outdoor TV, and additional seating. This is a NON SMOKING home. Minimum age 27 years to rent.
Lakeside Estates is situated on 188 acres of scenic mountain land, and surrounded by a private cove on Norris Lake. Lakeside Estates features a gated entrance, pool, walking trail, private boat ramp, boat trailer parking, city water, minutes from several full service marinas and restaurants, and a short ride or drive to a golf course.
This part of the lake is considered seasonal water and prior to April and after September, our cove can look more like a river than a lake, there is no guarantee that you ll have access to the dock but the boat launch is available year round.

Well stocked large home for our group of 30. Location was perfect - close to several marinas to restock or grab lunch or dinner. Also just a few minutes to the closest store.
Definitely some wear and tear on a few things but nothing major.
Had an issue with outlets on the island and volume on the tv in the master bedroom- mentioned something to the property manager and electrical issue fixed the next day and new tv.
Excellent communication and response time.
We had a blast and would for sure rent again!

We have tried several family vaycay on various lakes, and this by far was our favorite ! Not only was the lake beautiful, but the house was perfect. All kitchen amenities were available, plenty of space to be together (or not) for the 10 of us. The very few things we notified management about ( nothing big) they arrived almost immediately to rectify the situation. We are planning to return next year!

We had four familes and this house was the perfect size for our group. We loved the location of the house being on a quiet river. The kids loved the slide and jumping from the dock. Everyone in our group agreed that this was our favorite vacation. The owners were very easy to work with. I

We had a large group of ladies together for a church retreat. This house was PERFECT!
Each bed had its clean and fresh smelling sheets folded and ready to put on the beds. This was great because I knew the sheets were clean!
Everything was clean and fresh. The kitchen was loaded with all sorts of utensils you could ever need, as well as enough dishes and silverware for our entire group. The two coffee pots and the Keurig kept us caffeinated.
The views from the decks - breathtakingly beautiful! It was still warm enough to take advantage of the private dock and slide!

We had an amazing time on our annual framily vacation! First time to this location and we will definitely be back! One of the most beautiful places we have been, the lake is amazing and our kids loved the nearby jumping bridge! House had typical rental wear and tear but worked perfectly for our large group!

The house was perfect for our large group - easy to spread out and supports multiple areas to congregate in small and large groups. The kitchen was wonderful and was stocked with everything we needed to prepare and cook meals for 26 people multiple times a day. The two-level dock was a hit with the kids and made for easy docking of our boats. Although the lake was busy during prime time, we were still able to tube and ski. For those of us needing calm water, the early morning and evening times were perfect with very little traffic.

Norris Nook is a wonderfully spacious house. We had plenty of space for our family of 30. The house has all the necessities for cooking and eating in. We spent most of our time on the decks, boys on the bottom deck, girls on the middle deck, and adults on the main deck:-)
The slide on the dock was a huge hit. It is now deemed as a necessity for us when looking for future houses.
The lake was very busy this week, but we enjoyed our time playing in the calm water around the dock after battling the tube in rough water!

We had a great stay. We had a group of 20 in town for a wedding at a local state park. House was very impressive. Very cute and comfortable. Well stocked for cooking, and double appliances. Because it wasn't a busy season we managed to park all our vehicles at the house. Only 4 spots normally guaranteed and overflow is not nearby. Drive in is very hilly, narrow, and dark, but the GPS got us there fine. Check in was a breeze. Garbage pick up was delayed but our message was acknowledged quickly and problem soon remedied. Game room was nice. No one complained about wifi so must have worked well. Beds comfortable and plenty of hot water.

This is our 2nd time staying at the Norris Nook. There were 22 of us and it accommodated us all and then some. We enjoyed staying once again. What a great home in an awesome location because we had 5 boats also.

Each bedroom has it's own bathroom, great for multiple families. Property is clean and maintained well. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking needs. Bring paper towels and toilet paper. Boat dock has storage with floats and tubes to relax in the lake. The lake is deep, bring a life jacket for the kiddos. We had an amazing time and the owner's hospitality was great.

Many comfortable spaces for lots of people and all ages. Plenty of areas to gather!! Kudos to a well stocked kitchen and lake float supply. Bring your own knives, these are dull. Lots of stairs both inside and outside (which we were aware of); however lookout for rogue nails and hold on tight to the railing during the top portion of the stairs that lean. From our experience neighbors are close and were loud.

Excellent property for family fun!
Our large family group has stayed at Norris lake homes for a number of years, and we were very pleased with Norris Nook. The property was very clean upon arrival, pictures were accurate from website. The owners were very responsive to a few things we asked about. Parking was one of the best of the homes we have stayed at. Book for your next vacation and you won’t be disappointed.

Our large family had a wonderful time at Norris Nook. The house I very well equipped and is well thought out! We rented two boats and had lots of fun tubing and water skiing!

Enjoyed the property and the facilities, but had one major problem. Son-in-law and his family were going to Florida for a week after this stay. They did not have enough room in car so they rented a small trailer. The trailer was broken into and about $1000 worth of equipment was stolen. It had a lock that was cut. The area was suppose to be gated, but the property manager did not ever lock the gate. He said it was not good for the motor to keep opening the gate. My son-in-law talked to the owners, the owner of Lakeside Estates and the property manager of the trailer area and got no satisfaction. The property manager even hung up on him.

We had 9 families at this home, along with 3 boats and there was plenty of space! Great location, beautiful home and lots of entertainment nearby. The kitchen area was amazing with lots of room to prepare food and serve food for 9 families.

We enjoyed our family time together at the Lakehouse! The bed space and bathrooms were fabulous for a group our size, manyvv BBC enjoyed the hot tub amenities and the fishing, we were off season so the dock wasn’t there for our stay. The game room was well loved and the kitchen was fabulous. The deck was great for relaxing as well. The only downfall was the many steps to the bottom level and to the water, but that was well known before our booking I just have old knees lol. Great rental!

We were looking for a place that had a lot of room and could sleep many of our family members and this place had so much space for everyone to feel comfortable and it was perfect for all of us to still interact with one another as a family.
