Paola contacted us before our arrival and sent us all information about check-in and tips about the area/restaurants. The apartment had reserved private parking spaces nearby, but there was no problem to park even in the public parking lot right next to the house. The location is perfect, right in the center of the town. Paola welcomed us in the wine bar located on the ground floor of the accommodation and offered us a free welcome drink. The apartment is very spacious and equipped to a high standard. Overall, the stay exceeded our expectations.

There are two apartments on the site - a one-bedroom with a small balcony overlooking the large church and town square in front of it, and a two-bedroom apartment with similar views from each bedroom (without a balcony, but with a very nice, sun-filled patio are at the rear - ideal for drying washing on the convenient clothes rack, or just enjoying the table and chairs for a relaxing drink).
The apartment was sparkling clean, with new bathroom facilities which worked well (sometimes an issue in historic places in Italy). Everything was ultra-clean and there were lots of little extras - oil and condiments for cooking, ground coffee, a welcome bottle of Prosecco, fruit and water, paper towels, foil, tissues, sanitiser - they were all there, with a range of utensils for cooking. There were handy brochures, which opened up to us the magnificent scenery and range of spectacular buildings in the vicinity - which we explored with interest and enjoyment.
Paola, the hostess, could not do enough for us, and was very friendly, attentive and efficient. She lives in the apartment above and also works in the wine tasting room below - which serves a generous platter and range of Proseccos - well worth a visit.
We stayed in mid-June. There were lots of mountain bikers riding through the town and on the roads around it, but there seemed to be relatively few tourists - certainly not such as are found at the major attractions of Italy. We enjoyed this "authentic" atmosphere, and the country-side, with towering vine-covered hills and magnificent vistas.
There could be a little road noise during the day, but it didn't worry us. The double-glazed windows could have been shut had it been an issue, and it is quiet through the night. The washing machine and drier being in the entrance way for the three apartments was slightly unusual, but they were very easy to use.
There was nothing that we didn't like.

Simply wonderful- would highly recommend a stay at Piazza Marconi. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, leaving prosecco and water in the fridge and coffee and fruit out for us- such a lovely touch which we were very grateful for! The location is brilliant, parking on the road was never a problem for us. Fantastic!
