The property was great. Everything worked well. The golf cart was helpful & also saved $ from renting one, though we may not have opted to do that as we ended up driving to the public access beach. It was too hot to use the hot tub. 4 those looking @ this home, the downstairs worked well for a family with kids - a private queen bedroom (though it was small for a queen) & a bathroom, 2 couches (1 a sleeper), & a bunk with trundle. All sound from the 2nd floor was amplified - chairs being moved across kitchen floor was loud enough to wake us from a sound sleep. Normal footsteps sounded like stomping. We ended up using ear plugs & keeping the fan in the bathroom on. Also, there is no covering on the door window next to the bunk, so we used a personal sheet to block this, as the sun rose at 5:30 am- bright & very hot. The Beach was an entirely new experience for us seasoned Floridians. All within walking distance was "private beach" with entire ocean blocked off with single umbrella/2 chair rentals for $80/day. The small public access beach also had these. You cannot be against the ocean until after 5 pm, when they remove these rental umbrellas. They are placed so close together that it is actually intrusive to walk between them. Tents allowed only on back 1/3. There were 5 rows of people from dune to ocean, packed in tight. There were helicopters flying above, & airplanes, and everyone's music competing. It was not a relaxing beach. Loved the house, not the beach.

We enjoyed the different levels of space for our fun family getaway!! The beach was easily accessible, the pool was enjoyed completely and the hot tub sealed the deal!! We cooked on the grill for burger night but also enjoyed several local places for awesome seafood!! Thank you for a great time!!

We enjoyed staying at the house. Everything was as advertised. The beds were comfortable and kitchen worked perfectly. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had. The beach towels worked great. We’d definitely use the house again!

Property was lovely and absolutely as described. The house was very clean upon arrival and Joan checked in with our group a few times during our stay. This was a top notch rental!! Perfect spaces for group gatherings, whether you want to sit by the hot tub, in the game room, in the living room, or in the dining room! Our party of six had plenty of space for socializing. The beach was a short ten minute walk away and the house had a wagon available to help get our stuff to the beach. What a great stay…thank you Joan and team for the memories!
Note: Make sure to pack a laundry and dish washer pod - these are not included with the amenities and are required if you use any dishes or beach towels. The house does come with dishwashing liquid soap, but who wants to wash dishes by hand on vacation? Haha! You can also pick these up at the local Publix.

This house was great. We spent 5 days here in early March for spring break. This house is giant and can sleep many many more people than what we had (5).
The golf cart died while we were there and the owner found another one within 24hours. The “heated” pool was too cold to swim in, but the hot tub was fantastic.
One bummer was that you could not leave the golf cart at the beach. You had to drive your family, unload beach stuff and then drive back to the house and walk to the beach. There was a parking lot, but it was just as far a walk as the house. This really was like a 5-10 minute walk.. at most.
Overall, a great vacation.

I can't say enough good things about our entire experience at this very nice home. Joan made the entire vacation experience from setting up the week and through the pre-vacation, the week in Destin, and the close out very nice. The home provided all of my children's families
enough space to enjoy each other in the family space, yet privacy on the upper and lower floors. We loved the beach and the use of the golf cart is very much appreciated.
We played family games in the evenings after the long sunny days on the beach. It was a vacation that I believe my kids and grandkids will remember with fond memories for many years to come.

Loving Beach Life was everything we expected it to be! The house is beautiful. We had 14 adults and there was plenty of room for everyone. The location was very safe and secure. We had a couple minor issues and Joan was very prompt to respond. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Destin!

Really enjoyed my stay but what set it apart from other places I’ve stayed is the responsiveness of the owner and maintenance crew for a couple of small items and any questions.

The house was beautiful and functional. Joan and her property manager were great to communicate with . The beach towels and toys were greatly appreciated. Getting beach equipment, toys, and people to the beach on the golf cart was a bit of a chore; there is no parking for the golf cart so you must take it back to the house and walk back. It's only a ten minute walk, so that wasn't bad. We had very small children that limited our beach trips. Lovely home.

Owner communication was great. House was clean and comfortable with everything you need. Having some beach items already available made packing for the trip much easier. Would have given 5 stars except some of the bed sizes were smaller than listed. Some beds listed as queens appeared to be full size beds instead. The hot tub was older and did not work when we arrived, but the owner handled it as quickly as they could. I would have appreciated some compensation for the days we did not have the hot tub, but not really expected. I anticipated the beach access to be connected to the gated community, but the access was a block away from the edge of the community without parking at the beach access for the golf cart. This was an inconvenience, but was easier to manage with the included golf cart. Had a great time and would rent again.

Great experience, but needed a few improvements
The homeowner was wonderful to work, being very friendly and easy to get ahold of by phone. The house itself was beautiful and as described in the description, and accommodated our group very well. There were a few things that could have used attention, such as the air conditioner on the first floor (Joan did try to get someone to come out to fix it, but they were unable to show up during our stay's duration-- 4 nights, so she had her assistant bring over a new box fan to help keep it cool), somewhat small mold spot near return air vent on first floor (we understood homes in this area experience much humidity and this was likely the cause), and the newer washing machine (the auto sense seemed to not be working, but Joan said she was aware of the issue). All in all, I would stay at another one of Joan's rental homes again as it was a very pleasant vacation home.

All of the amenities were top-notch. Lots of TV’s, the bedrooms were nice, and the available games and outdoor hot tub were fantastic! Access to the home was easy, as was the access to the housing development.

My wife, 3yo son and I stayed at the house for a week in February.
What a great house this is. Everything was as advertised. A cute, small gated community with two pools, plenty of extra parking, neighbors were all nice and friendly. Very “nice community” vibe. Fantastic houses. The hot tub was huge and hot. The Xbox’s and games all worked well. Golf cart was awesome to have. You don’t need to but anything for the beach, the garage is full of organized beach toys, chairs, wagon, pretty much anything ya need.
Did I mention this place has 8 new smart TVs, all with working functions including cable.
Kitchen was more than well equipped, to the point that it looks like the owners or long term guest actually cook. ha
Location was great for us, between The Commons and Silver Sands. Minutes from the beach and restaurants.
We’ve vacationed 3 times a year for the last 10 years. We know are way around a rental. This is a overall a great house and our stay was awesome. Can I also mention that every bind in the house worked properly and weren’t broken.

Great place in Destin!
We stayed here for a family wedding and had a great experience. Joan was excellent in communicating and we found the house clean with plenty of space for 8 adults. Walking distance to the beach was a nice bonus!

Excellent property in a great location. Plenty of room with a great host. The house in a gated community was perfect for our family that includes 3 children 4 and under. Our host was very responsive to any questions or needs and went above and beyond our expectations. We would highly recommend this property and will use it in the future if we return to the area.

The kids loved having the downstairs. Having the golf cart was so convenient to drive over to the beach or to go grab some food. The property managers were very nice and helpful and the neighborhood was peaceful and beautiful. Can’t wait to go back!

This home was perfect for our needs. We had 8 HS senior boys - the entry level floor had everything they needed. The moms had the rest of the house. The X-box, game tables and hot tub got good use. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to feed 8 hungry boys. The owner is very attentive and lives local. It's not a big rental company. We had a minor issued because of a storm that blew thru and they were right on it helping us get it fixed. It is in a gated community so we felt safe. A quick walk gets you to the beach which is beautiful. Soft sand beach with clear waters. Lots to do in the area and very walkable too.
We really enjoyed our trip. I would highly recommend renting from this owner. I like supporting locals and not big business whenever I can.

Great place to stay for a group of adults!
10/10 would recommend. Joan is a communicative and wonderful host. The house is conveniently located, well-decorated, and very spacious. Having the golf cart to drive to the beach or local spots was such a convenience. The hot tub is perfect and so well-maintained. In our 5-night stay somebody came by to check the hot tub and add chemicals twice. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk and the private beach is so nice. The house can easily accommodate large groups and the mattresses are great. The master bathroom is so spacious and nice. No complaints at all. I would love to return.
