This cabin is great. Always clean . Association beach not far down the road is also great and kid friendly. Back porch is a great place to sit/eat with partial lake view. Have stayed twice and would stay again.

Enjoyed this roomy cabin, along with its private and quiet property. Very convenient to the ammenities of Greenville and Moosehead Lake attractions (mostly hiking and historical sites, for me).
The private community Moosehead Lake beach access was great.
Look forward to returning sometime soon!

We fell on love with this cabin 2 years ago. We will continue to come back.

We were stuck in Bar Harbor due to Hurricane Lee that came ashore the day we were to check in. We called Vacasa and were told the house was losing power but they left flashlights . Roads were blocked due to trees down and streams flooded but we were supposed to drive 120 plus miles to check in. They refused to allow cancellation and denied even a partial refund. We obviously did not try to go. This will be our last encounter with Vacsa who were thankful for an act of God.

Everything was great except the beds and linens.
Pillows should be replaced-stained. Mattresses were hard as a rock, very uncomfortable and bed frame squeaked.Linens should be updated, very old.
The family did a lot of outdoor activities, it would have been wonderful to go to bed and get needed rest but unlikely with the mattresses and flat stained pillows.

Roof repairs were communicated last minute, which woke everyone up at 8am. The double beds were hard as a rock, I had back and neck pain by the time we got home Wednesday I was having spasms in both neck and back. The satellite tv does not work. The bonfire was nice but the deck needs to be sanded down and the mold growing on the spindles needs to be taken care of. I am hoping someone discounts are stay since we were only there two days and were out before 10 on Wednesday.

The cabin is a little dated but in a great location that is quiet and convenient to recreation, restaurants and general stores in the area. They are due for some kitchen amenity upgrades ie. pots, pans and dishes. Beds were very comfortable.
Great wifi reception for anyone looking to work remotely.

Was delighted that the cabin offered such privacy and quiet even though there are homes on both sides of the road. We couldn’t see neighbors and had a distant view of the lake. We could hear the loons and the resident barred owl. It was perfect for us.

We loved the quiet, beauty of the area & the cabin was great with a large deck out back & table& chairs. It was also equipped with everything you need inside and the rooms were big enough for a family.

Maine Cabin
Beautiful Cabin, located just a few minute drive north of the town of Greenville. Cozy, Quiet, and quaint property with a small lake view. Cabin is rustic with a nice deck for eating and entertaining, a nice fire pit to enjoy jn the evening, and a small usable kitchen. Perfect for a small family, or group of friends. Very affordable.

We loved the cabin, the waterfront, and we had the best weather and were able to enjoy the outdoors. Thank you!

good cabin
Could be a little cleaner. All the linens etc are clean but the vacuums do not work and the wall next to the bath sink needs to be cleaned. As well as the shower curtain that has mold on it. Not a lot of mold but does have some mold. Kitchen utensils need a upgrade as well as steak knives are needed. Some clocks in the house would be nice as well.

A peaceful getaway!
The cabin was a nice retreat! Pretty landscape, quiet neighborhood, close to Greenville, and clean.
The overall experience was nice for our family of six, and dog. The downsides of the experience... One bathroom, cabin is noisy ( lacks privacy), appliances are very dated (made it hard to cook), The grill was not clean ( we couldn't use it), and terrible customer service from VRBO/ Vacsa.
Overall we accomplished our goal of family time, escaping traffic, the hustle of the city, and we enjoyed the local area.

Lakeside retreat
The cabin was clean and well appointed. Great opportunity to disconnect from technology as much as you want. We were able to see a moose on the way to transfer station. Enjoyed going into Grenville and monsoon center. Would definitely return.

Awesome stay
We loved everything about our stay at the Charloon Cabin. It was spacious, clean, well stocked and it was located in a nice setting. You could tell the owners were very proud of their cabin and they made it very charming for their guests. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Lovely cabin and location, but careworn
We have stayed at this property twice now. It is a very comfortable cabin, but some maintenance attention is required. Most pressing is the back deck, which has a number of planks that need to be replaced and a nail that is sticking up and waiting for someone to step on it. The oven door needs attention. Each time you open it it feels like it will come off in your hand. I notice that previous reviewers identified the same issue. Regarding the property managers - I had a number of questions re adding nights to our stay and COVID protocols which took them weeks to respond to. This is certainly not consistent with my communication experience with other VRBO property managers.

Cozy Cabin
Could feel the love of the family that originally created the place that we enjoyed for a weekend. Everything you need to get away and take in a majestic area of Maine.
