The location was very good with local pubs and restaurants. The furnishings and appliances were of a high standard. Three excellent Tvs with Sky. Great sliding windows in lounge. Our overall stay was good.
The property is advertised as having a welcome pack with milk and cakes etc. However, we did not receive this. It was fortunate that we had taken our own! As an older person, with mobility issues, access to the bed on the ground floor was difficult as there was limited room either side to get in and out. Access to the parking area was also quite tricky due to the cobbles. The fitted sheet in the upstairs master bedroom wasn't large enough to fit the mattress and continually pinged off! On our second night, we noticed a leak under the bathroom sink whenever the tap was turned on. We reported this to Scott but didn't hear back from him, so we had to use the kitchen sink to brush our teeth etc. On the final night, the security light was coming on intermittently all night, so as I was in the ground floor room, I didn't get any sleep. We would have reported this too but we were leaving the next morning and had had no response to our previous enquiry. Apart from these drawbacks, we did enjoy our stay at Castle House. It is a pleasant house which is beautifully furnished. It would be a great place for younger people who would like to take advantage of the hot tub and sauna. It just wasn't entirely suitable for our needs.

Honestly if I could give this property 100 stars i would, the cleanliness, the owners, the facilities, everything abojt this property was perfect, I couldn’t rate it highly enough. Amazing communication from the host and the hot tub and sauna was just perfect. Beds were so comfy and the kitchen has everything you need
The only slight downside would be the location, it has lovely walks and a nice town but I reckon if you stayed there for more than a week you might need a car to go other places

Fantastic! I am so impressed. I can’t praise this accommodation enough. I absolutely loved the luxurious facilities, all completed to a very high specification. The hot tub was a marvellous bonus as its jets gave a jacuzzi spa experience. The beds were extremely comfortable, as was the seating in the lounge. The kitchen was equipped brilliantly with every conceivable gadget. Instructions for accessing the property were provided in plenty of time and contact phone numbers were provided in case of any problems. Every detail was catered for with care, courtesy and consideration.

Location was perfect. Walking distance to local shops, bars and restaurants and a short drive to Mam Tor etc.
Accommodation spacious and modern with thoughtful features such as an ice machine and coffee maker. Hot tub was fantastic, with Bluetooth speakers and fairy lights. Large, modern bathroom. Huge TV with Sky in the lounge and even a walk-in wardrobe.
The house was very warm.

It's a beautiful place, the hot tub is very private and great to wind down in at the end of the night and its very secure if you have a dog.
The bedding was dirty and stunk like a cat has had a wee on it so had to throw it in the washing machine on first night and stuff like glasses, cups and plates wernt very clean.

Gorgeous kitchen and master bedroom.
Comfortable beds.
Good TV with sky.
Hot tub
No entry to the hot tub without walking out the front door and round.
Not all the reclining seats worked in the sofa or the charging ports.

The location was good and it was a nice walk into the town. Takeaways deliver to this property so we didn’t have to cook.
The carpets were lovely but I was on edge with the dogs and my hubby’s red wine as they were really light coloured.
4.5
Location was brilliant, a short walk to the town but far enough away to feel secure and private. The place itself was very well equipped and luxurious. Would definitely stay here again, probably in winter when we could get more use out of the hot tub.
The place got very hot but it was 25+ Celsius everyday so anywhere in the country would’ve been hot this week. There was plenty of fans provided to help.
4.5
Thoughtful touches ie milk left in fridge, tea, coffee and cakes.
Great location.
Comfortable four poster water bed.p
CCTV directly centered on the hot tub and not focused anywhere else in that particular area. General neglect of the hot tub area, cigarette ends left littering the borders, table strewn with pieces of masonary and dirty. No preparation of this area and lack of regard for paying guests.
Top and bottom ovens were filthy and in need of a deep clean.
Toaster was full of crumbs from previous user/user's. we didn't use it so the stale crumbs are still there.
No jacuzzi bath as advertised.
Bare wires coming out of the wall in the lounge.

I liked the lounge and the kitchen.
In the lounge wasn’t any radiator apart from an electrical heater.
The shower didn’t work in the morning the hot water was coming on and off and one thing that’s really a put off for the property is that you have to walk around the property to use the hot tub.
