The Long Beach Lodge is a 4 Bedroom Home in the Heart of Downtown. A 1/2 block to downtown, 3 blocks to the beach. The LB Lodge has Dining, Entertainment & Shopping right around the corner, with two city parks just a half block away. This dog friendly home is fully stocked, with coffee, full kitchen, and even dog & people treats. Enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch or in the gazebo. The property is a wonderful place to stay! Everything you need and want is in walking distance. The property is also stocked with everything you should need for your stay. This maybe my one of my favorite vacation rentals I have stayed in. Also John is the best host!

The house had everything as described and the little details were covered too, including coffee, beach stuf, spices, plates, glasses, etc...The owner will meet you at the door and walk you through the house - perhaps a little unnerving for intraverts but helpful nonetheless. I would rent again without hesitation. The community is very friendly.

We were so pleased with this property-it was exactly what we needed!!! John was so accommodating-available whenever we had any question. The house is so cute and clean! Everything you need to cook, clean, etc., is available-we cooked at least once a day and had everything we needed. The location is perfect, with close access to the beach, as well as cite local restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay here or any of John's properties!!!

We arrived really late at night and were welcomed in person by a wonderful host who gave us a tour of the property and outlined all the local attractions and foods, as well as all his personal recommendations. The property was charming! The bedrooms were comfy and the living area and kitchen were great! Our stay was made all the more relaxing by the fact that there was coffee for the coffee maker, 1/2 &1/2 in the fridge, laundry and dish detergent, and a whole bunch of the necessary spices and house supplies that normally force that midnight run to the store when you first arrive. There were even dog treats and people snacks! The neighborhood was quiet and charming and the beach was a quick walk - as were several restaurants. There were beach supplies on the ready at the property! We’ve found our VRBO of choice in Long Beach and will be back! Thank you!

We booked this place for 6 adults, 2 kids, and a dog to celebrate a significant birthday. First, location is great. Multiple good restaurants/bars that are with a few minute walk. Better yet, the beach is a 5 minute walk or so. The house was 100% as billed, clean, and stocked with anything a person would need. John was extremely communicative and checked in several times to make sure things were going well. Definitely would and very likely will stay again! ZERO complaints.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Long Beach Lodge. The house is almost perfectly equipped. John and his wife included so many thoughtful touches that we really appreciated--hand towels, hand soap, Kleenex--those little extras that you don’t realize you will need or miss until you are at a location which doesn’t include them--John has thought of them all! We also really appreciated the big backyard, the nice dining room furniture, and the kitchen and bedroom amenities. The best part of the rental, though, was of course, the location. We loved being so close to the beach, as well as tons of good restaurants and shops. We highly recommend the scones at the Bank House Coffee--especially the apple cinnamon ones!

Perfect for our family reunion. John was very accommodating and informative. We had plenty of space to spread out and the kids had a great time running around the spacious fenced in backyard with the outdoor toys that were provided by John. Definitely recommend and we will return.

We had seven people ranging in age from 7 to 75. This property with its easy access to a perfect beach for young kids was fantastic. John has a very well kept home and great supplies for kitchen and typical rental hoe stuff. Besides that he provides beach towels, beach chairs, boogie board, and even plenty of beach toys for the younger people.
It is also easy walking distance to several restaurants and other entertainment. Such as the town splash pad and a large playground.

House is always pristine and comfortable! John includes so many things with his rentals: snacks, water, fully stocked coffee bar, soaps, shampoos, plenty of dishes, cups...love this home! Of course, one of our favorite things is the backyard and the awesome covered pavillion with swing and plenty of seating. Thanks John for providing a piece of heaven on the coast.

Amazing Stay
This house is so comfortable and a welcoming space! We had 4 couples and kids. We were all comfortable and enjoyed ourselves. We grilled on the propane grill one night. Mr. John has everything you need for that (grilling tools and full propane bottles) and much more! The house is located within walking distance of a lot of places! The splash pad and drive thru daiquiri place were favorites! The beach is within walking distance but we decided to drive. Mr. John has beach toys and boogie boards to use, so no need to bring any of that! The back yard is pristine! The grass is beautiful and the lighting creates a wonderful ambience! He has worked very hard to create and maintain a beautiful and welcoming space! He also is there upon checkin to give you lots of advice and provides a nice binder with everything you would need as far as information! Cable and WiFi were great too, especially with kids being able to use iPads! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE! We will be back, no doubt!

There is nothing bad to say about our week long stay , the LB Lodge accommodated 5 adults comfortably. The home was well equipped with all the comforts of home. It is located on a quiet street and within walking distance of the beach, shops and restaurants. The backyard is fenced in, which our 2 fur babies loved. John is an excellent host, he met us at the house, gave us a full tour and gave us recommendations on restaurants and tourist sites. If you are looking to stay in Long Beach, book this place, you will not be disappointed!

Long Beach is such a cute little town. We loved that we could walk to dinner and the beach from the house. The backyard was great for the dogs, and the house was very comfortable. Would definitely come back.

We selected the property because of the large fenced backyard and dog friendly host. Our mastiff loved exploring the backyard and hanging out in the gazebo. The home is super comfortable and we had everything we needed during our stay. The neighborhood is quiet and safe with numerous restaurants within 5-10 minute walk.

It is very difficult to please five picky, opinionated women at the same time, and this home DID!
It is so nice to check into a home and not feel the need to immediately leave for the store. We really appreciated having ALL the amenities provided, but since so many other reviews mentioned those (toiletries, snacks, coffee, etc) I'll tell you the one I appreciated the most: Luggage racks in every bedroom. We are old! Not having to put luggage on the floor is a big, big plus for me and one very few vacation rentals think of. Loved it.
Also, so often I hear that things are "walking distance." Absolutely accurate in this case! My 88 year old mother and chain smoking sister had no trouble walking to the Daquiri Deck one day and the farmers market the next. Not knowing the area I was also a little worried about not staying IN Gulfport. But Gulfport is a very short drive. And we enjoyed getting where we needed to be (and another couple REALLY good restaurants) just a short drive away.
We made good use of comfortable porch and back yard. All very pleasant.
Seriously, rent this house. You won't be disappointed.

John was a perfect host! He took very good care of us. He gave us all the recommendations of places to eat and were all spot on! The house was spacious and extremely clean. Me and my family were evacuated from hurricane ida and John went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. We were unable to go home and made this time for us stress free. The check in process was smooth and he took his time getting us settled in the home. My two dogs did not want to leave, nor did I! He is continually accommodating us with another property as our home is still not livable. I can’t say enough great things about our experience. I will never stay at another hotel again. When ever life goes back to normal, this will be my go to place. Thanks John for all you did for us.

This house was in excellent condition and was beautiful. It was furnished with everything all you had to do was bring a toothbrush and a change of clothes. The neighborhood was quiet and walkable and very clean. John, the host was so friendly and really treated us like he was our friend. We will be staying again for sure. Perfect Family Getaway
If you are looking for a beach vacation, but don't want a highly populated tourist spot, this is the location for you. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood just a few blocks off of the beach. There are several restaurants and a fantastic coffee shop within walking distance of the house. The beaches are public and therefore not crowded at all. A couple of days we were at the beach there was no one else within at least 1/8th of a mile. John, the homeowner, is very attentive. He met us upon check in, provided a multitude of tips and suggestions and responded to what few questions we had within a moment's notice. I will definitely be saving this property for future reference.

Wonderful House
This house is beautiful! Plenty of room for a family of 10. Updated appliances. Nice back yard for kids to play, barbecuing, or just relaxing. Neighborhood is great, Less 5 minutes to restaurants, fast food, grocery stores. Beach supplies available to guest with house. Less than 10 minutes drive to Island View Casino no traffic. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful with options available for guest traveling with kids. He call to make sure everything was perfect for us. I will definitely stay here again.

While traveling our motorhome broke down in Gulfport Long Beach Mississippi area. I quickly got on VRBO. They had just had a cancellation and I was able to book right away. Joe responded quickly and had amazing communication throughout our stay. Their place was well-equipped for family and dog lovers alike. You can truly just bring your clothes and feel completely at home. I do mean they had everything, laundry soap down to doggie treats. You can't go wrong booking this GEM! We do plan on coming back for a family vacation! Honestly, it was such a pleasant relaxing stay.

Super Stay in Long Beach Mississippi!!
Immaculate and well stocked for a late night arrival. John had bought milk and cereal to have on when we arrived. Everything was provided from beach equipment to plastic bags to aloe for sunburn. There was a park and splash pad within walking distance for the kids. There were also multiple restaurants and the beach within walking distance. All beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had an array of dishes and cooking pots and pans. The amazing refrigerator was new with plenty of room in it. The water heater was huge with plenty of hot water for all nine of us to shower and wash clothes. Overall it was a home away from home!

Definitely Recommend this House
To summarize, this property was great and so was the owner/property manager. We wanted to work remotely during COVID so we decided to stay at this property for a month during December. Below are some specific points I want to pass on.
1. The property owner (John) was amazing and super friendly. He was available any time for a call or a visit if we needed something. He gave us a summary of all the restaurants and his recommendations. He told us about museums and activities in the area. He also mailed us a couple of items we left behind by accident. Because we stayed a month, he even brought over barbeque one night. I feel we made a new friend.
2. Great location and a short walk to the beach (I think 3 blocks to the beach). The beach was clean and very "long," which I guess is why the city is named Long Beach. The property had sand toys and chairs for the beach. The property was also only 1 block away from several restaurants and some stores. It was only 1 block away from a city splash pad if you go during warm weather.
3. Cleanliness -- The house was extremely clean, which we appreciated during COVID. None of the rooms had carpet, which is something I like when renting a house for cleanliness.
4. Backyard/Privacy Fence -- The fenced in back yard was great for kids to play and for privacy. There was also a gazebo that has a swing, which was neat. The backyard also had an awning over the patio, which protects you from the sunlight.
5. Good Value -- I thought the house was a good value when staying during December. Obviously, I won't know what you will be paying though.
6. Kitchen Well Supplied -- The kitchen had everything we needed.
