About this apartment rental
Apartment 'Church Hill' is situated at the foot of the Mönchsberg, only a few minutes from the banks of the River Salzach. It offers picture book views towards the Old Town with dome, palace and fortress. It is a second floor apartment in a renovated 16th century townhouse (with lift) in one of the oldest parts of the city. Next to it is the old Parish Church of Muelln and the Augustiner monastery turned brewery with its unique historical beer hall and the best beergarden in town.
1130 sq ft. Apartment 'Church Hill' has two very large bedrooms with comfortable boxspring beds, a fully equipped built-in kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, oven with ceran field, microwave, Nespresso machine, toaster etc. and a 320 sq ft living/dining room with satellite tv, hifi stereo, WiFi, remote control lighting and seating for four. The bathroom offers a tub with shower as well as a bidet and there is a separate WC.
The apartment has a triple aspect with eleven (!) windows and is therefore not only spacious, but also very light and bright.
Restaurants and shopping facilities are just around the corner and so is the bus stop and the next train station so that you do not need a car to explore Salzburg and its vicinity. For those who come by car there is a large (and safe) car park behind the Augustiner brewery just 3 minutes away.

The apartment had everything we needed, was very clean and comfortable. Location was great for getting into the old part of the city very easily as well as to Mirabelle Gardens. Highly recommend. Hostess greeted us immediately upon arrival and explained everything we needed to know. Check out the patisserie/bakery Beltran down the street! It’s amazing!

We highly recommend this apartment. It was very large, bright, elegant and very comfortable. The location is perfect, with stunning views from all windows. We stayed in three excellent “Old World” apartments on this trip to Europe, and what made this apartment our favorite is the quality of everything – from inlaid wood furniture to high-quality facial tissues. It felt like we are staying in somebody’s home, rather than a for-profit apartment.
One convenience that was not obvious from the listing but useful for a family of three: The toilet with sink was a room separate from the bathtub/shower room that also has a sink. Shelves in the bathroom is another feature we appreciated.
One slight negative of the location is that it was somewhat noisy in the second bedroom (if windows are open) due to street noise. But the main bedroom faces the quiet yard and was not noisy.

Beautiful space and close to all we wanted to explore. Highly recommend.

Our family truly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful apartment. It is old with charm but nicely updated. The location is fabulous, it is walking distance to everything without being in the loud areas. The unit is clean and comes with everything needed for a pleasant stay. We would highly recommend.

Great location on the Alt Stadt side of the river and close to the beer garden. Clean and roomy. Centrally located with good view of the city. Recommended.

We loved our stay in this elegant apartment in a great location with an elevator. Beautiful chandeliers, lots of windows and natural light, king sized beds and so nicely furnished. Just behind us and beyond a setting of trees was the river that we could stroll down to with cafes and restaurants within minutes. Up the street is the famed Augustiner biergartens which we enjoyed several times and the old city center was just a 15-minute stroll away. Absolutely perfect for our weeklong stay and we would definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful apartment with gorgeous views in a superb location. The apartment was incredibly clean and spacious, with very comfortable furnishings. Hosts were very responsive and welcoming. We cannot imagine a better place to stay in Salzburg!

Absolutely perfect place to stay in all aspects!

This is cleanest, most well-maintained VRBO I have ever stayed in. Immaculate and accommodating. The location is awesome, steps away from the Augustiner Brewery and some great restaurants. It is a brief walk from the Altstadt. The beds are comfortable with hotel-quality linen. The kitchen and bathrooms are well-appointed. When I return to Salzburg, I will look no further.

This apartment was located in a great spot. It was easy to walk most everywhere. The kitchen was well equiped and there was a new clothes washer/dryer unit which we took advantage of. The rooms were comfortable. The check-in process was easy and they communicated with us for that. I would highly recommend this property and would stay there again.

We had a great time at the flat. We especially enjoyed that the crockery and cookware were nicer than the usual IKEA stuff. There were Villeroy and Boch plates. Sharp knives. The pots were more substantial. And the kitchen had little things like parchment paper. This was nice, as we had come to the point in our multi-country journey, where we were a bit tired of eating out, and wanted to make a few simple meals at home. The unit over-all was clean. And the beds were comfortable. Highly recommend!

Beautiful apartment. Good location for access to Salzburg sights. Spacious and well appointed.

This is our second time staying here! We love the space. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen has coffee and tea stocked.

The apartment was clean, comfortable within walking distance to Salzburg attractions & bus service to surrounding areas.

We were happy to have chosen this apartment! It was our first time staying in a vacation apartment and it was a wonderful experience. Our priority is always the cleanliness of our accommodation and the apartment is very clean!!! It is complete with everything that is needed in a vacation home, beautifully furnished and the beds are comfortable. The check in and check out were straight forward. Wilfried is a great host with clear and responsive correspondences before we checked in. We were granted a late check out at a reasonable cost, which was a great relief for us, in terms of logistics! Do check this place out!

We loved our stay here, great location and perfect apartment.

It was beautiful and beautifully maintained as well as in a great location for a short walk into the alt stadt. One of the few properties we have stayed at where the photos are a true indication of the property.

Very clean and functional flat. Quiet and convenient location. Would stay again.

This apartment was so clean and charming and bright. The communication with the host was great and the location was excellent. Very close to a fun beer garden and a 10 minute walk to the beautiful old town in Salzburg.

We are so grateful that we booked this property! It is located in the most wonderful area— walking distance to the river and Old Town, and the view is stunning! Opening the windows and feeling the cool breeze, while hearing the morning bells from the cathedrals was wonderful! It is very close to the famous Augustiner Brewery, as well. Our host, Wilfred Gross, could not have been kinder. He helped us get oriented in the city, provided helpful information, and was very accommodating. The apartment is safe, spacious and beautifully decorated. We had the absolute best time in Salzburg and would definitely rent here again if we get lucky enough to visit in the future!

The apartment is beautiful, the photos don't do it justice. It is was immaculately clean, and everything in the apartment was functional with not a single issue. The breeze coming through with windows open was cooling the place in minutes. Check in process was simple and communication with apartment manager was very easy.
Location is perfect, walking distance to the old city and to the main train station.
If there is one thing to note is that you can hear street noise especially on weekends in the evening but not disruptive. Also, while the safe parking lot is just 5 minutes walk away, if you are unloading multiple luggage pieces there is no easy parking in front of apartment building. The street spots that are near have always been occupied while we were there.

This place is heavenly! Views out of every window! Location is fantastic!! Was able to walk to all old town sites and local restaurants. Very close to a train station and grocery. But the view! And church bells and gentle breezes. The apartment is well suited and very very comfortable. The host was fabulous as well!

Great stay in Salzburg in Wilfried and Aurelia's apartment. It was clean, well equipped, and in a great location. You can see the river, the castle, and the old town skyline from the windows. Walking to old town is about 10-15 mins and train station is within easy access. With everything close by, plenty of taxis and Uber (and buses, which we didn't use) getting around from there is easy and inexpensive.
Wilfried took the time to personally meet us and show us the features of the apartment (with the radio set to classical music). He pointed out the restaurants and discussed our plans with us. There are a variety of guidebooks in the apartment too. The kitchen has tea and coffee, and nicely labeled boxes of dishwasher and laundry detergent. For non-locals (maybe for locals too!) the trash sorting may be a little overwhelming, haha.
The last day we walked across the street to the wonderful Augustiner Brewery - what fun.
You can rent without hesitation.

Had a wonderful stay with my husband and daughter. Perfect location for exploring Salzburg and a very kind and attentive host. 100% recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Churchill. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Mozart Week concerts were outstanding Having the hospital nearby was great for getting taxis if needed.
The apartment is wonderfully set-up and comfortable. We used the washing machine, and drying racks! The grocery store is close by. We ate at the small Italian restaurant and had great food! The cafe and bakery by the hospital are great as well. We found the Cafe Bazar worth the walk. Soft boiled eggs shelled and in a bowl was perfect for us!
Our host was exceptionally nice and helpful. He came to our rescue when we needed to be let in because of our mistake and locking ourselves out!
Excellent vacation all around

We spent a week right before Christmas here in this absolutely beautiful beautiful apartment. Everything was spotlessly clean and it provided a wonderful place to just hang out and watch the snow and play games. The river was only a 3-4 minute walk. 10-15 minute walk to the Christmas markets in Old Town, and grocery stores. Public transportation is also was right outside front door. Parking was 5 minute walk for 16 euros a day but if you stopped in augustiner brewery and had a 4euro pint of beer parking is then free. We took advantage of this 3/4 times while we were there. The beer is excellent!!! Restaurants close by as well. This is a perfect place to stay in Salzburg!!!

Great location and ambience. Would stay again.

The apartment is a great location and very convenient to downtown. Very nice to walk to town either along the river or above town walk with amazing views of Salzburg. Well equipped and organized. The only issue is there is only one bathroom not two but it was not a problem for the three of us staying there. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to be back.
4.9
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The location makes it easy to get to old town Salzburg and both train and airport. Our walks were delightful. The apartment is so wonderfully decorated and equipped that we felt like we were at home. Our host helped us both in getting there and any questions we had about the area.

We were 2 couples traveling together & this apartment was our favorite during our 2 week trip through Austria & Germany!! We all loved it. Central to walking to all sights in Salzburg. Very clean with everything we needed in house. Our host met us at the property at check & went over everything we needed to know including parking. Highly recommend this property.

Beautiful flat. Large bedrooms and living area. Willfried was very accommodating. The only issue is that while the VRBO listing says two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one bathroom is just a toilet and a sink and the second bathroom is sink, tub shower combo and a bidet (no toilet). We would definitely stay again though.

Happy to say
Apartment was huge 2 bedroom
Had everything you needed.
High end accessories (bed matress bedding , kitchen appliances etc.
Apartment was minutes away from salzberg highlights.
Would definitely reccomend:)

Our stay in the Church Hill apartment was absolutely incredible. Our hosts were so kind and offered wonderful tips for the local area. The apartment is the nicest VRBO we have ever stayed in. Every morning started with a cafe latte from the high end Nespresso machine. So many wonderful restaurants nearby. I cannot say enough about this location.

This apartment was beautiful, immaculate, and nicely situated in the center of Salzburg. The beds and linens are VERY soft and comfortable and the coffee machine is perfect. Just be aware there is no A/C. We had to sleep with the windows open and the street noise was loud. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.

The apartment could not have been more perfect for our family of 4 (kids ages 8 & 10). It was very clean, spacious, perfectly located, and full of charm. The hosts provided everything needed for a week-long holiday. The apartment has a full kitchen with dishwasher and nespresso machine, perfect for cooking if needed, but so close to a delicious bakery, coffee shop, and many restaurants that it's easy enough to duck out for any meal if so desired. The washing machine was very welcome, and the hosts provide a drying rack and iron/ironing board, too. The bathroom has a combination tub/shower and separate toilet room. Lots of guide books and information for discovering the area. Not to miss on a hot day - the summer palace with its trick fountains!! The apartment is walking distance to the old town (and new town, too), as well as the trails that take you up to the old fort. Salzburg is such an incredible city - we highly recommend both Salzburg and the apartment. We can't wait to come back!

Amazing Apartment in Salzburg
This apartment is very well located and is a short walk to all attractions. Although the building is historical, it has been renovated without any detail neglected. The apartment was very clean and well kept. There are also several exceptional restaurants on the street. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Great communication with owner/manager. Amazing location, we walked everywhere. Felt very safe in building. Building itself was super quiet, did have some street noise, but not horrible. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay! The property was extremely clean and beautiful- better than the online photos. We loved the location, and the amazing views all through out the apartment. The beds were very also comfortable! The next time we visit Salzburg, we'd love to stay here again!

This truly is the most beautiful condo we have stayed! It is in a great location and in a wonderful city. Completely walkable with much to do and see. We stayed 3 nights and we should have stayed 6 or more. I would recommend this beautiful flat whole heartedly. Thank you to our gracious hosts who saved this flat for us for 3 years.
