Let yourself be enchanted by our "beautiful star" and enjoy this lovingly restored little house for two, with friends or in family.
2 bedrooms offer enough space for a family of 4-5. Modern comfort and lots of windows as well as the closed garden with sun terrace are the big pluses. Parking and WiFi on site.
Outside the high season we offer you 7 nights for the price of 6 nights!
Ideal starting point for castle tours, bike tours, and cave tours. The Loire, the market, the good restaurants and shops are within walking distance.
We would be happy to advise you on good wines, interesting events and excellent restaurants. We would be happy to provide you with maps.
As a landlord, we are only 1 km away and can be reached at any time, but are sufficiently far away that you can enjoy your vacation in a relaxed manner.

The gîte Belle Etoile is lovely, it is very private and peaceful. The kitchen is very well equipped, nice bed good bathroom. And very tasteful design of the property. The town of Gennes is small and quiet. You can take walks, have wine tastings and visit castles in the nearby vicinity. Petra and her daughter were very friendly!

Lovely old house restored and altered to high standard. Very comfortable week in lovely weather. Kitchen very well equipped with everything we needed and a nice upstairs lounge
Garden is excellent and is ideal for relaxing after a strenuous day out in the heat

Despite the rain we had on and off for most of the week, we enjoyed our stay at gite belle etoile. The pretty front garden was a nice place to relax when the weather allowed. It was a good base to visit the area between Chinon and Angers.

Der Empfang von Frau Schewe war sehr herzlich. Das Haus ist äusserst geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit schönen Details aus der Gegend. Die Abend- und Morgenstimmungen sind ganz speziell. Vom Wohnzimmer im obersten Stock blickt man über einen Teil von Gennes. Wir können dieses Haus nur weiterempfehlen!

Relaxing
Good clean property with everything you need. Upside down living is a bit confusing at first but the view from the sitting room is worth it. Garden is sheltered and the shops are a five minute walk away. Six footers need to watch their head in one place and even though Petra pointed this out I still managed to bump mine a couple of times or was that the wine??????

Fijne uitvalbasis voor midden Loire
Het is een fijne en complete vakantiewoning waarbij alles tot in de puntjes is geregeld. Wel even zoeken wanneer je voor het eerst aan komt rijden. Maar het heeft het voordeel dat het midden in het dorp zit, maar toch ook de rust en ruimte geeft. Onze zoon van 4 was helemaal blij dat er een ruime tuin aanwezig was.
De gastvrouw nam ruim de tijd om ons allerlei tips en uitleg over de regio te geven.

Eine wunderbare Woche!
Wir hatten als Familie mit unseren zwei kleinen Kindern (2+4) eine großartige Woche hier! Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld war hervorragend, das Haus wie beschrieben bzw wie auf den Fotos zu sehen, und wir würden uns freuen, wieder einmal einen Urlaub hier zu verbringen! Herzlichen Dank nochmals!!

Great garden, decking, living room with a view (and a breeze which was handy in the mud 30s). Very good location near baker, butcher etc, whilst being very quiet

Wirklich schön - das Haus ist toll, die Gegend super, die Vermieterin prima - wir haben zu viert eine tolle Woche an der Loire verbracht und es sehr genossen! Dankeschön!

Haus und Garten mit Wohlfühlcharakter.
Gennes war für uns eher ein Zufallstreffer.
Fazit: sehr gelungen.
Frau Schewe, die Gastgeberin, hat uns sehr herzlich mit leckerem Wein und selbstgemachter Erdbeermarmelade empfangen. Sie ist sehr zugewandt und hat gute Tipps für Ortsfremde.
Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gepflegt und geschmackvoll eingerichtet.
Die Ausstattung ist vortrefflich und vor allem in der Küche ist alles vorhanden, um die Köstlichkeiten der Region zubereiten zu können.
Der Garten ist sehr schön und lädt zum Verweilen ein.
Gennes ist ein hervorragender Ausgangspunkt, um die Loire und ihre Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erkunden.

Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!
Sehr nette Vermieter, wunderschönes Häuschen, das wirklich bestens ausgestattet ist. Das geschmackvoll gestaltete Wohnzimmer haben wir kaum genutzt, da das Wetter schön war und wir meistens im Garten im Schatten der Bäume oder auf der gemütlichen Terrasse waren.
Geschäfte im Ort sind gut erreichbar, das Dorf selbst ist schön gelegen, aber eher unspektakulär, dafür liegen zahlreiche Sehenswürdigkeiten und sportliche Möglichkeiten um die Ecke". Auch zum Atlantik ist es nicht so weit.

Magnifique maison
Petite maison ancienne rénovée avec beaucoup de gout, propre, très bien équipée, jardin et terrasse très agréable, communication avec la propriétaire excellente. Dans les rares points négatifs, l'absence de volets/stores rend le 1er étage très lumineux mais aussi assez chaud en cas de fort ensoleillement. J'ai aussi trouvé l'escalier un peu dangereux pour des enfants en bas âge (pas de contremarche). La région est riche de terme de découvertes. Nous avons passé de bonnes vacances.

Traumhaftes Feriendomizil
Haus und Grundstück entsprechen in jeder Hinsicht der FeWo Beschreibung. Tatsächlich ist das Objekt mit sichtbarem Enthusiasmus auf heutige Bedürfnisse zugeschnitten, stilsicher und bequem umgebaut und eingerichtet. Bequeme Betten, voll eingerichtete moderne Küche mit allen Akzessoires, schönes Bad usw. Vier Personen haben jeden Platz. Terrasse und großer uneinsehbarer gepflegter Garten gehören auch dazu. Wunderschönes Feriendomizil und eine herzliche Vermieterin.
Als Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung des Loiretales bestens geeignet. Wir haben mit unseren mitgebrachten E-Bikes in zwei Wochen mehr als 400 km Rundfahrten auf bestens beschilderten Radstrecken -auch in sehr hügeligem Gelände- absolviert. Der kleine Markt in Gennes bietet Dienstags unter anderem besten Fisch an. Und wenn sie keine Lust zum Selberkochen haben: in Cunault und in Le Thoureil findet man zwei sehr schöne Restaurants am Loireufer.
Fazit: Einen schöneren Urlaub an der Loire kann man sich fast nicht vorstellen.

C'était parfait
Même par un temps maussade , nous avons vraiment apprécié le confort de la maison.. On y est bien et au calme .. Le plus petit rayon de soleil met en valeur une très belle vue à partir du salon .. A recommander et les activités pour les petits et les grands sont assez proches. Si on ajoute que les propriétaires sont très attentifs à ce que votre séjour se déroule dans de bonnes conditions ... vous comprendrez pourquoi on dit que c'était "parfait"

Een mooie, smaakvol ingerichte woning.
De woning is een oude woning, die helemaal gerenoveerd is en op een uiterst smaakvolle manier is ingericht. Alle comfort is aanwezig. Ligt op een mooie rustige locatie, met een tuin waar de hele dag zon is.
Een puntje in het nadeel is de hoogte van de ruimtes, en met name de hoogte van de deuropeningen. Voor lange mensen, altijd bukken.
Ook zijn er trapjes en trappen in de woning, de keuken is gelijkvloers, slaapkamer en badkamer 3 treedjes omhoog, zitkamer een hele trap omhoog, tweede slaapkamer vanuit de zitkamer weer 2 treedjes omhoog.

Wir haben eine schöne Woche in Belle Etoile gehabt. Das Haus ist mit Geschmack renoviert und sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Lage bietet viel Ruhe und einen herrlichen Ausblick. Gleichzeitig sind alle Dienstleistungen und touristische Attraktionen in Gennes und Rosieres leicht zu Fuss erreichbar. Ein schöner Garten, eine Spielecke für die Kinder auf der Etage, bequeme Küche - auch beim schlechten Wetter konnte man einen Platz für sich finden und trotzdem zusammen sein. Wir haben auch sehr geschätzt, dass die Gastgeber schnell und effektiv auf unsere Fragen reagierten.

Der perfekte Platz für die schönsten Wochen im Jahr
Das Ferienhaus wurde liebevoll renoviert, die Verbindung von alter Struktur und moderner Einrichtung ist sehr gut gelungen. Die Vermieter bewiesen sehr viel Liebe zu geschmackvollen Details! Die Ausstattung bietet alles, was man braucht. Das Haus steht in einem großen Garten mit einer tollen Terrasse, das zweite Wohnzimmer!
Gennes ist zentral und gleichzeitig sehr ruhig gelegen, die Infrastruktur ist absolut ausreichend.
Die Vermieter sind jederzeit hilfsbereit bei sämtlichen Fragen und Anliegen, die Tipps zu den Weingütern und Restaurants sind hervorragend. Auch bekommt man alle Infos über aktuelle Veranstaltungen in der Region. Vielen Dank, Petra, für die tolle Betreuung!
Wenn wir wieder in diese Gegend kommen, werden wir auf jeden Fall das Haus wieder mieten!

The Perfect Loire Valley Experience
In the small town of Gennes is this nicely appointed house conveniently located between Angers and the quaint town of Saumur. Petra Schewe speaks English beautifully as well as French and her native German but beyond that it was her hospitality that was over the top and impressed us the most. We were on business attending several wine shows in the area and not only did Petra give us some helpful tips she booked us for a tasting and dinner at a beautiful, old Cathedral in Angers - for free! How can you beat that? Petra was incredibly kind and super cool. She was awesome and the house served us beautifully. Thanks Petra. Hope to see you again.

Fall Escape
Our family of five spent a relaxing 4 days in Belle Etoile. The house is charming and very well appointed, and isn't lacking for any convenience. The garden was great for our young boys who played soccer most evenings. The town is quiet, but there are a few small markets, boulangers, and boucheries nearby. I would offer one caution to parents of young children in that there are multiple levels to the house separated by small sets of stairs. That being said, the multiple levels do contribute to the charm.

Prachtig huis op een mooie plek.
Het huis is erg mooi, vooral heel licht door de vele ramen en mooi ingericht met prima voorzieningen.
Goede ligging in het dorp en toch heel rustig en er is in de omgeving ontzettend veel te zien.
De eigenaresse Petra is heel vriendelijk en heeft ons prima tips gegeven.
We kunnen dit huis zeker aanbevelen.
