We had an amazing stay at Kaweah River Horse Ranch. The accommodation was clean and cool, which was welcome with the heatwave outside. The house has everything you need, a well-equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom and comfortable beds. A selection of board games entertained us in the evenings, and the hot tub was a welcome soak after a day on the trails. The river is the cherry on top! Beautiful water to wash off the stress of the day! We can’t wait to come back for a longer stay to explore more of what sequoia has to offer.

Perfect place to stay while visiting Sequoia National Park.

We arrived and we knew it was going to be hot but the description said it was air conditioned and it had a pool. No pool and both window unit air conditioners were not working properly. With 110 outside and 93 inside we knew we couldn't stay here. The river was nice but you had to walk by a green mosquito infested pond to get there. Yes there is a horse on property along with a lot of droppings! I would not recommend staying here.

My family absolutely loved our stay at the ranch!! Julia was so accommodating and the perfect host, we had the pleasure to met her and learn about her property, family and the area. Julia steered us in the right direction for dinner just down the road. We had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Wish we could have stayed longer. Our kids loved the horse on property and walking down to the river to wade in the water after a long day in the park. Everything about our stay was positive! We would stay here again and recommend to our family and friends!

Loved our stay! It has a private jacuzzi and our little apartment/cottage had a full kitchen, which was nice. I loved the private beach for the property where the kids could swim in the river. That was one of our favorite parts!
It happened to be nearly 100 degrees when we stayed. The air conditioners did not work, so it was very, very hot. It was too hot to use the fire pit or jacuzzi, but they were available. I am not sure they advertised air or not, but that was the only hard part was at night when you are trying to sleep it was really hot. The other is that they do not have a pool. I think to be more accurate they just need to clarify no pool, but a private river-side beach which is WAY MORE AWESOME! My only other recommendation is to offer more notes on where to eat and things to do when you are not in the park. They had a brochure there for white water rafting and we did that, and it was SO FUN! I wanted more stuff like that :).
I will hope to be back if we go to that area again. Well worth it! Highly, highly recommend it to anyone! We hope to bring a group of friends so we can just rent the entire property for a weekend and do a big group thing. It's so perfect for that! You have just enough area that is private and a great shared space for small groups. Loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay! It was perfect for my daughter who loves horses. She spent a lot of time with the horse on the property. The owner even leaves treats to feed him. The owner was very informative and very friendly. I definitely recommend staying here

We all loved our stay at 3 Rivers. The owner, Julia, was super helpful. My teenagers played in the river all day long and took a wonderful jacuzzi afterward. We’d definitely stay again!

We couldn’t have loved our stay here anymore! It truly is a slice of paradise and Juli is an amazing hostess. I am really glad we chose this house instead of a hotel. It was the perfect amount of space to spread out for my husband and I and our two teens during our recent trip to Sequoia. The location is only 12 minutes or so from the park entrance! We even went on a whitewater rafting trip and ended up in Juli’s backyard. Three Rivers is a small town with lovely people. Juli was there for our checkin and provided us with a nice basket of treats for us and the resident horse :) She gave suggestions on where to shop and things to do. We loved our daily visits with Robbie and our nightly soaks in the hot tub as well as our backyard fire pit. Hot tub towels and firewood were both provided which was super nice. The house was equipped very well and the beds were super comfy. My only suggestion would be to add a hair dryer to the bathroom. I would recommend this place 100%. Thanks Juli for the great stay!

First of all, Julia, the owner is just an incredibly wonderful person. She went above and beyond in making sure our stay was comfortable, relaxing, and that all of our needs were met throughout our stay. The property was absolutely amazing, we got to fully experience day to day ranch life along with all the comfortable amenities of a resort. After a very peaceful night's sleep, we were able to wake up every morning to be greeted by Bobby, the resident horse, as we made our way down to reflect by the river with our morning coffee. After making the short drive to spend the day at Sequioa NP hiking, we were able to return back and soak our sore muscles in the soothing jacuzzi before turning in for the night. Thank you so much Julia, for being such an amazing person and sharing all of your life experiences as well as your beautiful property with us. We truly look forward to coming back again in the future.

The owner of the property, Julia, is an absolute jewel. She made sure everything was perfect for us and even brought us cake for our anniversary.❤️Our anniversary weekend was fabulous with time spent fishing and reading down by the river and also relaxing at the house. We really didn’t want to leave. So peaceful!!!

Quiet property. Home is roomy and had comfy king beds. We didn’t spend a lot time in house as we tried to fill our days with trips into the park, but when we’re were, it was comfortable.

The ranch was cute, and the owners friendly. I might have misread the VRBO page, but it wasn’t clear to me that we would be sharing the space. I assumed it was meant for larger groups, but because we were smaller we’d be getting our own rooms to stay in (or at least our own beds). I found the page confusing, so I wasn’t caught by complete surprise when it wasn’t what I expected. We ended up in one half of the building and had another group staying in the small building the next night. It wasn’t a problem, and we all enjoyed our time.

Excellent Stay
I must say - this was probably one of the nicest BNBs I've stayed at. They had everything ready to go; all the amenities that you'd have at a resort to having snacks available to feed the horse on the property. The little things like that made it that much more family oriented. My 10 year old daughter was with us, so she significantly enjoyed that. We had our own private access to the river which was the greatest part of the stay. The water was cool getting in, then nice and perfect warm when getting used to it. Just plain awesome. We were able to build a fire for smores (the wood was already there and supplied), we had a BBQ & they even supplied the coals! My family and I live in Visalia, and just wanted to take a short trip to Three Rivers. I would stay here every time if given the opportunity. Communication with the owners was top notch! Thank you for everything, and I hope we can stay again.

WEEKEND GETAWAY
THE PROPERTY IS BEAUTIFULL AND VERY PEACEFULL. BUT IT WAS REALLY HARD TO OBTAIN WIFI CONNECTION AND FOR ME THAT I NEEDED TO DO SOME WORK WHILE TAKING TIME OFF WAS A TOTAL DISASTER I EVEN HAD TO DRIVE BACK TO RETRIEVE SIGNAL TO RECEIVE MESSAGES AND COMMUNICATE WITH THE HOMES HOST OTHER THAN THAT THERE WAS ONLY ONE TOILET PAPER ROLL NOT ENOUGH PAPER NAPKINS AND WE REALLY NEED TO CHANGE POTS AND PANS.

Relaxing and Beautiful
We loved our stay. The beds were very comfy and the deck over the yard was beautiful- the river was absolutely amazing. In the summer, it is really worthy to get up early and enjoy the river and the yard before it gets too hot. If you intend to go to the river ensure you bring your own towels! There are plenty of plush towels for when you take a shower IN the house, but if you intend to get wet in the river or hang out, bring your own towels. There was an unexpected storm during our stay and the property managers were extremely responsive and helpful. In addition there is a small awning over the deck so when it rained we were able to sit outside and watch the rain without getting wet.

Very nice spacious place very close to sequoia NP
I stayed here with my husband, parents and my 1 year old baby. The owner takes special care and visits the people renting. She is super nice and helpful. The home is spacious with 2 large king beds, a bathroom, a kitchen a living room and a dining space . The owner made arrangements for a pack and play as well for my baby. The property had a spacious deck and there were 2 horses on the property that my baby wnjo6ed watching us feed and access to the river . Absolutely secluded but super close to restaurants and grocery store and most importantly the entrance of sequoia national park was only 15 minutes. The home was very clean and had mostly everything we needed but I can say that may be needs some extra utensils and basic cooking stuff like oil and sugar that we usually dont carry or like to buy when we travel. Overall we had a great experience.

A Great Base for Sequoia
We really enjoyed our stay here. It's conveniently located near the parks' entrance, which was our main concern. We also enjoyed the games, hot tub, back yard common area, interacting with horses, and the river. It was my girlfriend's birthday weekend, and the host even left us a cake inside—a lovely surprise and shows they care about the guests' experience.

Not good
There was a noticeable smell upon arrival. 1st thing I always do is check for bed bugs at all places I stay. My family knows not to put luggage on any surface until check complete. Two beds- one older mattress had SEVERAL blood stains. The other was much newer and had signs of bed bug hulls and eggs. we left immediately. Owner was unreachable. Went through VRBO to get a full refund.

A great trip
We had such a great family trip relaxing together and going to the river. We turned the hot tub down to be cool-since it was so hot and all enjoyed it together. My 6 and 8 year old loved feeding the horses and catching frogs at the river! We may come back next year!

Very well appointed
The amenities and attention to detail are outstanding. Three examples, I had a big cooler but needed a smaller one for a drive, a playmate cooler was at the property. I needed scissors to cut mole skin they had one in a utility drawer. I needed a bandaid they had an emergency medical kit. The kitchen was fully appointed. It exceeded my expectations.

Nice Place to Stay Outside National Park
We stayed in the House that did not have any rooms, but did have two king sized beds. The bathroom and kitchen are a little outdated, but serviceable. There are two other units that share this property. The property includes a private access to the river which is really nice.

Spring Break trip
Wonderful home with excellent amenities! Great communication from the owner from start to finish. We loved spending time down on the river, spent lots of time in the hot tub especially after a long day of hiking and feeding the horses was such a great treat! House is super close to the National Park gate and the local market is less then a mile away!

Cozy Stay with Horses on site
This was my family’s first trip to Three Rivers and Sequioa National Park. We decided to try out the horse ranch because our child loves horses, and it is something different than a regular VRBO house. The property has wonderful outdoor space, it is on the river, and there is a fire pit. The house is about a 15 min drive to Sequioa entrance. The hot tub is great after a long hike, and the horses were the highlight, as they are super sweet and we got to feed them. We had a great stay and Julia (the owner) is very helpful. We hope to come back and visit again!

Memorable Family New Years Celebration
I rented the River Ranch for New Years with my family. Everyone had an amazing time at the property both indoors and outdoors. We made camp fires, grilled food, fished, played outdoor games, fed the horses and took walks to the river. Julia is an absolute joy and incredible hostess. She made all of us feel like family. We plan to come back this summer for another family stay. Thank you Julia for making this such a memorable experience for my family and I, and especially for our 2 year old daughter.

Hidden Gem!
Our family of 3 had a great time on this property. The property manager was friendly and went the extra mile to see that we had everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub, river, horses, and back yard while we were here, and it is close to the entrance to Sequoia National Park. We will be back for sure!

Relaxing, friendly and comfortable...
We had a wonderful time here. We stayed in the unit with two king beds, and everything was comfortable and clean and easy. The hot tub was great, the horses were sweet and gorgeous and access to the river was a treat. (We didn’t swim since it’s fall, but it was lovely to sit down there and just watch the river!)
We drove about 20 minutes to get to Sequioia National Park, and overall about an hour to get to the General Sherman tree. Spending the day in the park was wonderful, and coming back to soak and relax was, also.
Julia, the host, stopped by to drop off some popcorn and games, which was a special treat. We mostly texted and spoke on the phone, though. She’s absolutely lovely. Contactless check in was perfect in these Covid times.
I cooked every night in the kitchen and it was totally serviceable, and there was also a grill outside that we didn’t end up using but was appreciated. (FYI— like many rentals, bring your own pantry staples. There was a bit of oil and some table salt there for cooking but nothing else. That’s totally fine and normal, just wanted to mention since different places have different stuff!)
Lastly, while we didn’t need accessibility access, I was gratified to see that our unit was absolutely friendly toward people with disabilities, including a ramp, and a shower with rails that can accommodate a wheelchair or chair. Well done!
Thanks so much for your hospitality, Julia!

Great rustic horse ranch!
Our experience was great. Julia was so accommodating and the sweetest host ever! Seems all reviews agree with this. Would love to come back with our 8+ grand children and our kids to rent the entire ranch.
