Selva - Mallorcan Garden of Eden
The Mallorcan Selva has almost 3,000 inhabitants, of which there are many German immigrants. For many tourists Selva is still an insider tip on the Balearic island. A relaxing holiday, combined with tranquility and the cozy atmosphere typical of Mallorca is possible here without further ado. The picturesque landscape, which consists of fertile fields, and fruit, almond and carob trees, makes for a relaxing holiday. Among the locals Selva is known not for nothing called 'Mallorcan Garden of Eden'. Set among the lush thriving countryside will find many small villages where you can find accommodation in cozy holiday homes and apartments.
The region around Selva is limited by the Tramuntana mountains. Like an oversized wall extends the mountains over the whole coast to the west and the north of Mallorca. This makes Selva a perfect starting point for tours and excursions. One can explore in about the rocky slopes, where olive and almond trees grow. Best of all, one goes on foot exploring. So do not miss one of the many beauties of the sunny town.
What else can you experience in Selva else? In the village itself you will find not only a few shops and restaurants, but also many leisure opportunities, mainly cultural. Celebrations to write in Selva still great and if you want, can it convince yourself at one of the weekly performances. But an important event for the inhabitants is also the feast of the patron saint Sant Llorenc. This is on every 10th August celebrated with a big spectacle. In May, however, the traditional craft fair attracts guests with its colorful market a lot of visitors to the small village.
In Selva are the scenic idyll, culinary delights and the typical Mallorcan life in the foreground. If you want to be infected by the cozy life of the Spaniards, get here the chance.
From Selva, one can look in good weather even to the Bay of Alcudia. The small, lying on a hill village is just 4 km away from Inca and invites you to linger. Interesting here is, among other things, the Gothic PfarrkircheSan Lorenco. In this church you can find pictures of the Mallorcan master Antoni de Veri i Salas, and a copy of the 'Holy Family' (the original hangs in the Louvre in Paris).

Spacious, clean, airy, well appointed separate villa with terrace for sunbathing and outdoor dining. One bedroom /two bathroom, kitchen - dining area and two reception rooms. Well equipped and very peaceful and quiet set in foothills of Selva. Selva small village very nice although despite its pretty square doesn’t have much of a vibe. Friendly though and clean.
Suggestions would be to get TV organised on different languages, it was stick on german despite us trying to change language. Suggest providing some essential backs in kitchen like oven glove or tea towel, salt, no shampoos or shower soaps ir gels provided. Recommend sorting the second bathroom unpleasant smell out. Several
Guests do mention it. We just closed the door. The actual building is number 20 as VRBO says it’s 16, the host says it’s 18-20. We arrived late and couldn’t find it at first. It’s 20 and a separate house on its own. I recommend putting a Frito up of the lovely villa so guests know which one. We enjoyed our stay and it’s the second property we’ve had with this company who are polite and receptive. Thank you for having us.

Nice stay, nice location.
Everything was ok, except that it was impossible to park the car beside the location (we always parked not closer than 700 to 800 m....).
Carola is a nice guest, we would have appreciated sometimes more support when requested.
Thanks

Great view over the town and of Esglesia Sant Llorenc from patio and living room. All the required facilities you need except maybe Wi Fi but you can connect to internet via data roaming as mobile reception is OK. Bed confortable and having a bath as well as a shower was welcome after a long walk in the nearby hills. Regular buses connect Selva to Lluc for mountain access and interconnecting buses on the Soller - Pollenca route as well as to Inca where you can connect to the Train to Palma. Only snag is the bus stops and supermarket are at bottom of village and its a steep walk uphill to the accommodation. If you do bring a car you could drive right up to the gate but will need to park tight to the wall as streets are very narrow - we managed without the bus and train fares are very reasonable and you can sit back and enjoy great views. It is very peaceful and you can enjoy relaxing afternoons after a hard mornings walking in the Sera de Tramuntana mountains.

This house had everything we needed, except maybe wifi, with a very fine terrace with exceptional views. Selva is a nice town with some fine restaurants. Bakery just around the corner. In about 45 minutes you can reach almost every place in Mallorca. Would definitely book this house again for a future visit of Mallorca.
