Hello we had a big group that went between family and friends and let me just say that overall experience was amazing. Location was perfect; remote and peaceful for us to hangout and let loose. Not far from grocery chains or the trails for hiking, which was a plus! Property was very clean, organized, and the hot tub was a huge win for us. Awesome experience and hickory house was amazing.

Kitchen was well equipped, cabin was clean

As our first family vacation in years, we had a great time! Lots of things to do within 30 minutes of the cabin and the location itself is fairly secluded, which was great! The cabin was very clean and there were plenty of supplies. Lots of fish in the pond as well! The only downside was the wifi, it really did not work at all. But as long as you aren’t relying on that and truly want a cabin experience, this is a great place to stay!!

Nice cabin. Very relaxing, lots of space in and outside. Surrounded by trees, would like to return in the fall. Had an inside issue- management responded quickly! Would recommend to anyone wanting some R and R…

We had a good time. The pond is not anywhere near the cabin and it’s a pretty good hike up hill to it with little to no instructions the guys were a little dissatisfied with that because they wanted to fish. The pond was also referred to as more of a puddle. This cabin is very private and secluded. Not recommended for children there is not much space outside that is flat for them to play. The upstairs loft railing is sketchy as well if you have kids. The hot tub was large and hot so that was a plus. We went to Lake Logan beach and it was very nice kids enjoyed that. The trails we hiked were gorgeous.

Perfect place for our family! Hot tub was great, kitchen had everything we needed!

The listing was very accurate! Easy to get find. 4-wheel drive helps make it up the driveway, but still do-able. Very clean and plenty of space! Very secluded. The hot tub was a very nice amenity. Not too far from hocking hills hiking trails. I highly recommend and plan on staying here again!

We were in town for a wedding.... place was perfect location. Everything was good, except, we couldnt drink the water due to it being full of salt! It was so bad, it clogged our iron steamer! We had to go get bottled water! This needs checked out!
Setting was beautiful.

Great weekend at a great cabin

the power was out for 72 hours and we were unable to stay because there was well water and the pump
would not work without electricity. We had to stay in a hotel (unexpected additional cost to us). I would appreciate follow up

Great cabin and management
Very nice and secluded cabin.

Cabin served its purpose!
Overall it was nice. The drive to Hockinghills is about 25 mins or so. Cabin is hidden and you will need a 4 wheel drive or good tire traction, going up the hill to get to the cabin is steep. A gate for the trash cans would help keep the racoons away. They got into the garbage during our stay. The cabin was clean and had enough room for our party. We enjoyed our stay!!

Could be better
The cabin was nice and clean except for the 2" of dust on top of the valances. The beds were so worn out and awful that the floor was better. The pull out sofa was broken and not safe to use. Very few blankets so people were sleeping in sweatshirts. Garbage disposal was not working. Cabin has such potential, but between the completely worn out beds, lack of blankets and sheets and the CONSTANT reminders that you were not welcome even a minute before or after the time allowed, it did not feel welcoming. Hot tub was great. Fooseball table was old and worn out and barely functional. listing showed lots of acreage and a pond etc, but no information where it was and where we could go on the property. Since there is no cell signal, contacting the property manager was not possible. Basically, this place could be amazing, but they missed the mark. VERY expensive rental and could be great, but you will need to take air mattresses since several of the beds are not usable and you will need to bring blankets, sheets and basic supplies such as TP.

Needs work
This property needs a lot of repairs. It also needed to be cleaned better. Every dish I took out of the cabinet was filthy. The toaster was disgusting. Bathrooms were clean however shower knobs came off when I tried to turn on the shower in the basement and there was no water pressures to even rise the soap off of your body let alone try to wash your hair. I would not stay here again.

Family & Friends getaway
Everything about the cabin was wonderful, beautiful and clean. We loved that we could take our fur babies too.
Only Two slight downsides: getting up the long, steep driveway was a challenge because it was mostly gravel. Also, the foozeball table was broken (one of the handles on the right side), so anyone over there was at a disadvantage! Lol we made it work though!
I would highly recommend that everyone give this place a try! :) Just make sure your vehicle is good for rocky inclines.

Was a little surprised by the steep driveway, but everyone got up it ok. Beautiful Cabin! We will be back!

Hickory House in Hocking Hills
It was very easy to book online. Everything was accurate as listed. About 30 minutes from major trails and 15 minutes from restaurants. We really enjoyed our 2 nights stay. We would recommend this property to others.

Great seclusion in the woods. Very nice cabin it has all you need for a family vacation.

Great ambiance
The cabin’s ambiance is wonderful. We enjoyed the nature, hot tub and grilling. Overall very nice! If you have an option though bring your own pillows. The ones in the cabin are end of life and flat which gave us stuff necks.

Group Stay
We overall had a great experience & enjoyed our stay. We had 10 adults and enjoyed how open the space was. It was perfect to be able to sit outside, have a fire & some drinks with friends. The WiFi was extremely spotty & not reliable if a necessity for your stay. Would recommend to larger groups!

A very relaxing get away
Our family enjoyed a much needed get away at your lovely cabin. During the day we spent time hiking the trails of Hocking Hills. We were blessed with a few unexpected sunny January days and got to visit Rock House, Ash Cave, and Cantwell Cliffs, to name a few. In the evenings we enjoyed the hot tub and snuggled around the fireplace. The kitchen was well equipped for me to treat my loved ones to some homemade dinners. We were also about 15 mins from stores and restaurants which we also took advantage of. If you are looking for a get away for yourself or your family but want to keep social distancing this is the place.

Great dwelling in a remote location, great for social distancing
We enjoyed staying at the house It was well appointed and had everything we needed to make us comfortable. There was a problem with the sump pump which the manager took care of the next morning. We had the option to have it done immediately (late at night), but chose not to. The softened water does not come out without sputtering and spitting.

A really great cabin in a great location. Very big. The drive is a little steep.
Everything was very nice and well kept. Only complaints are the steep drive and the water seemed to have air in the lines. Would stay again.

Loved it
Had a great time... Cabin was within 20 min of everything we wanted to do as far as hiking. Plenty of room for 7 of us ...6 adults 1 kid and a golden retriever. I would recommend this cabin.

This cabin was perfect for our family to celebrate our 30th anniversary!

Critters
Awesome place, very accommodating!
However, something has to be done about the trash cans outside! Critters got into the trash every night!! There was no way to lock or bungee the lids down. It was a pain.
Water pressure was very odd... water would sputter out of the faucets as if there was air in the lines. This happened in all sinks and showers.

Was a great get away from all the hustle of city life!
Good cabin for a family getaway

Well built cabin. The well water was salty so you might want to consider bringing bottled water

Beautiful Cabin, needs some work
The cabin and its layout were fantastic. Nice quiet serene setting with no visible neighbors. The large parts of the cabin were very clean, but there were dishes and utensils in the drawers and cupboards covered in gross old food and dirt. The basement smelled moldy, especially in the utility closet. There were multiple items in various states of disrepair. Blinds not working, chairs broken, and holes in screens. It looked like someone was dancing on the table at some point because it was sagging in the middle. If theses things were repaired it would have been perfect. The hot tub was heavenly. It is a little distance from the parks about 30-40 min. There's a town near by with a variety of stores to get supplies and some restaurants. The only other issue was with Buffalo Lodging co. The receipt clearly stated that all taxes and fees were included, but they hit up our credit card again stating that we hadn't paid taxes. I did contact them about this and sent the receipt they provided me with to no avail. Over all I love spending time with the family.

Awesome Area!
This area is awesome and we had a blast! I did give 5 stars but wanted to include a couple of FYI's for future bookings. Cell phone service is on and off in the entire area. The cabin does have internet which was helpful for online communication. We did not have cell service at the cabin. The area also has steep incline roads so make sure you have 4WD or have the driving skills.
